The original one is like a character with bad karma, while this one sounds more like a character with good karma. I liked that touch of changing the voices from Nate to Nora which is like “This is what would happen if Nate/Nora have survived” each one with their own personalities.
Over time Skull has improved in more melodic singing and in parallel Andrea has gotten even better at rapping solo, and this is like a beautiful culmination of that
"Star-spangled America Full of radiant places Not the land of the free Where the home of the slave is I pray that my children Get more than the world I was raised in Things ain't the same But war never changes" Wow, those gave me chills, that is poetic af
I like the idea that the original was Nate’s perspective as a soldier who is used to war and ready to take on the action of the waste. This one is closer to Nora’s perspective, a woman who is pissed off at her present circumstances, but who also feels a deep sadness from the loss of her husband, son, and the world she previously knew.
That said I truly think the chorus (or the repeated verse between each actual verse i don't know music too well) is the true feelings of both nate and nora that they want to help the people of the waste during their quest but they aren't politicians so they know no matter what there will be repercussions of their actions espically after finding Shaun.
I like how the words change for the re-imagined, like how in this song its just the sole survivor starting out, getting out a finding Kellogg, either intentionally or unintentionally blowing shit up along the way, and the original is them once its all over and not caring anymore since they’re all powerful like how we feel at high levels
...I have no words to explain how shook I was by this. Going in I was expecting a slight pace change or something minor like that but when Andrea came on the track I was hooked. Phenomenal job guys. This is why your my favorite channel on UA-cam. Keep it up, and stay safe!
I like both. They're different version of the same song, different interpretations. One's slow, ominous, tells a story in a more chilling mannor, has you take your time to understand. The other tells it more aggressively, right up in your face and gets your blood pumping for a fight.
I like how the original sounds like it's from the point of someone who is angry with what the world has become and wants to rip it apart and this one sounds like it's from someone who wants to still live a good life even if that results in destroying everything
I think Delta would just dominate the battlefield. He's a big daddy with the ability to use plasmids and seems to be just as capable of free thought and decision making as Jack and Booker. Booker has better mobility, and Jack is nothing when compared to both, but the added durability, the larger selection of weapons and the fact that Plasmids seem to be more direct damage then Vigors, which act more like grenades. Also I don't think Possession can't cause Big Daddies to commit the not-alive afterwards, so that's off the table for Booker.
missed opportunity at 0:46 the lyrics are “and one gunshot was the sound of our fate” but the gameplay shows the character using a minigun unloading into someone! you should totally switch that out for someone getting oneshot with a sniper or something
The first one: A painful change, but one the singer has embraced. The reimagining: A lament over the world the singer now finds themself in. Personally I think the first one matches the tone of the games better, but this was also really good
I'm a big fan of this re-imagining. The original version felt more like a man initially disliking the changed brought about by the loss of civilization, but succumbing to the violence and chaos. While the re imaging feels more like a woman setting aside no qualm with raising all hell if it gets her back her son, if morning the loss of order and peace. Either way, both are great but I really feel the growth in everyone's skill over the past few years in this version.
2:21 when I heard this it made me feel like the original was the before and this is the after. before, just trying to find their son and make sense of the new world around. and now, embracing the new world for what it is and walking across the wasteland, not in fear, but with pride.
So, what I've gotten from this one, is that it's a lady who woke up in an apocalypse and embraced it, rather than the previous, which was a man who woke up in an apocalypse and tried to hold to the pieces he had left. I kinda like the old one better.
It's like both parents are awake, but the dad wants his old life back, while the mom is embracing it, as she's ready to rip the wasteland apart looking for her baby, but he's just wishing this hadn't happened.
"Omg General! It's been so long! ....oh btw, another settlement needs your help, get on that. But seriously, how have you be-why tf aren't you on the quest yet?"
THE CHORUS SENT CHILLS DOWN MY SPINE!!!!!!!! And that song is AWESOME!!! Here's a idea for the next fallout rap all fallout 4 factions rap battling each other now I will LOVE that who else
Okay so for some odd reason, way back when the original version of this song was released, I avoided it purely because I didn't know the game like that. Some time, about a couple of days or a week, I came back to the song and absolutely loved it to the bone. I was always listening to it, I attached it to a Wattpad chapter I had written and it made a simple chapter that wasn't supposed to be intended into something meaning more purely because I loved that version of the song. Fast forward to today, I was expecting some minor changes to the song with Skull rapping in it so I was completely shocked when Andrea came rapping and singing in. Each lyric had me hooked as if I was reading some spectacular novel and so I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and you can bet I sang along with the chorus once I heard the lyrics that lead into it! The beauty of this song as I see it as the untold part of the female protagonist made me start to cry as I'm singing along. The whole time I thought Skull was going to slide on in and spit bars but I think you guys made the right call to have him just in the chorus, it gave the nostalgia feel to it and the new lines instead of "Welcome To My Apocalypse" gave me chills! I'm sorry for such a long comment, all I really have to say is thank you for everything that you guys do! ❤❤❤❤❤
@Timothy Issac Jackson I have to argue with that. It sounds more like Fallout than the original. In this one you can hear the sadness and the grief, almost as if it was being sung at a time that the survivors had accepted what had happened to them and the world. The original sounds like the anger and frustration you would hear when they just came out of the vault. This one captures the feel of the older fallout games, and express how sad this game series truly is. For me, it also shows that the emotional struggle of the characters is definitely far beyond the physical struggle.

Probably the 50th time ive listen to this, still love it, loved the old one but the way you guys just flipped it and made it so diffrent is awesome 10/10
I love this version very much! It sets itself apart nicely in tone with Andrea's lovely voice and general remix of instruments and lyrics. I love both versions very much! Great work!
It should tho. My birthday is October 23rd the same day the bombs would drop, so that would be a really nice 73rd birthday present if anyone wants to organise that 🍅
Questions 1. Why would you do that to the original Welcome to my apocalypse 2. Lyrics that used are: Sweet child of my your speacial Nobody's on your level This freedom of trial your walking is A long road to your apocalypse.
This was my all-time favorite song when JT released it. Played it while storming the institute for the first time (With BoS obviously) and it was so good to see them re-imagine it and they really did it justice!
This song and it's OG version fits my two characters of Fallout 4: "Ulto Geneva" is my male Militiaman General he is a more peaceful person and in my mind, he hates this new world because its so different, but he has a sorta appreciation for the people who worked to make it their home. (Original Song) "Ellie Goodbelle" is my female BOS Sentinal who believes in military force which is why she is a BOS supremacist, I used mods to give access to a BOS domination to allow the BOS to take over all the settlements. (This Song)
Man, I remember listening to this song before I even knew how Fallout 4 ended, now years later with the game under my belt and the song remastered it hits hard.
As socity evolves, as we get smarter, brighter find ways to survive and thrive in the harshest of situations and still keep hope, we change , adapt and evolve to fit the situation, but no matter how much we change one thing always stays the same. Because war, war never changes.
I’ll be honest I thought it was just going to be changed vocals but this is truly amazing this song got a complete overhaul. This song is amazing keep up the amazing work guys ❤️🤟🏼
Aight, we need a dark souls 1 re-mastered now. This song is a masterpiece (Edit, so i was being a idiot so they did make a re-mastered, so i guess we need a re-mastered version of the dark souls 2 rap?)
Initially I liked the original better because it was more upbeat, but I gotta say the singing in this one is absolutely beautiful and well done. This ones my favorite now!
I'll be honest, JT, I love this reimagining! While the old version is really good, capturing the spirit of the Fallout franchise, Andrea kills it on this track! That, and as a rock fan, I love the instrumentals and the chorus for this one. Keep being awesome, you keep getting better and better!
Wasnt found to this at first. But coming back to it after a solid minute i really like and appreciate it. It wasnt asked for yet they still gave it to us for free. thanks
As someone who very recently got heavily into Fallout 4, using it as a coping mechanism for this stay-at-home-hell, this video popping up in my feed excited me to no end. Thanks, JT. You never fail to provide.
I did not expect this re-imagining to be so good as it was. It definitely painted a darker picture of the Fallout games... like the realities of the horror of the Great War... fucking amazing.
The original was really good, but this was incredible, and also felt more true to the game in my opinion. Fallout was never about the gun-slinging hero, but more about the story and atmosphere, and this re-imagining captures that perfectly. I LOVE the Stupendium merch you're wearing at the end. Shout out to that guy, he's really talented.
Loved this re-work of one of my favourites of yours! And thanks for the support, repping my merch at the end! :D

we NEED a Bioshock The Collection rap/battle with Jack vs Delta vs Booker!!!
Yes
Its probably happened in another universe, but they got roger craig smith to reprise booker
wasn't it Troy Baker that voiced Booker?
That would be chaos
I think Delta would just dominate the battlefield. He's a big daddy with the ability to use plasmids and seems to be just as capable of free thought and decision making as Jack and Booker. Booker has better mobility, and Jack is nothing when compared to both, but the added durability, the larger selection of weapons and the fact that Plasmids seem to be more direct damage then Vigors, which act more like grenades. Also I don't think Possession can't cause Big Daddies to commit the not-alive afterwards, so that's off the table for Booker.

I'm not one to live with regret, whatever the cost, fulfilling my debts
The love that I lost, remiss to forget, but I'm taking off, so gimme some jet
I dont wanna set the world on fire, just wanna start a flame in your heart
I dont wanna set the world on fire, cant help it if I tear it apart

If I wake to find apocalypse, I'll make it my apocalypse.

I love this version very much! It sets itself apart nicely in tone with Andrea's lovely voice and general remix of instruments and lyrics.
I love both versions very much!
Great work!
First time was a banger, round 2 is the stuff of legends
My apocalypse, angle by your side, and the blood born rap bring back so much nostalgia
Nobody’s on your level... OF MAKING THESE AWESOME RAPS/SONGS WOOOH
No one:
Absolutely no one:
That one kid: *I LOVE THE FALLOUT UNIVERSE, IT SHOULD HAPPEN IRL*
It should tho. My birthday is October 23rd the same day the bombs would drop, so that would be a really nice 73rd birthday present if anyone wants to organise that 🍅
No. No one wants nuclear war.
Ben Pagan are you sure about that? Cuz to me it sounds like fun
I’m that kid ;-;
Backwards Brain I would
OMG this is great I've wanted this for so long
so calming
Questions
1. Why would you do that to the original
Welcome to my apocalypse
2. Lyrics that used are:
Sweet child of my your speacial
Nobody's on your level
This freedom of trial your walking is
A long road to your apocalypse.
This and Fight Like Hell are my favorite re-imagines. Great job with the darker, more serious tone.

This was my all-time favorite song when JT released it. Played it while storming the institute for the first time (With BoS obviously) and it was so good to see them re-imagine it and they really did it justice!
this is beautiful
the quality has changed a lot since the last time, and the voice in the chorus gives you goosebumps. absolutely deserved like!!!
This song and it's OG version fits my two characters of Fallout 4:
"Ulto Geneva" is my male Militiaman General he is a more peaceful person and in my mind, he hates this new world because its so different, but he has a sorta appreciation for the people who worked to make it their home. (Original Song)
"Ellie Goodbelle" is my female BOS Sentinal who believes in military force which is why she is a BOS supremacist, I used mods to give access to a BOS domination to allow the BOS to take over all the settlements. (This Song)
Her voice is like an angel
Not being weird
Though I'm kinda lost at the verses when Skull and Andrea sing the chorus is very beautiful.
I enjoy the fact that you added songs from the game to the song
really beautifull
this one and the old one are both so good
Man, I remember listening to this song before I even knew how Fallout 4 ended, now years later with the game under my belt and the song remastered it hits hard.
Now, THIS, Is a birthday gift! Can't wait to listen to this, it's gonna be great I feel!
Edit: It was! I love this so much!
Awesome! If it’s your birthday, happy birthday!
Me too !!!
Its my birthday to
Noice
Happy B-day
I really love so much the voice of Andrea. It's the most magnifecent thing in this song.
Love how you got both Nate and Nora's points of view. Nicely done.
As socity evolves, as we get smarter, brighter find ways to survive and thrive in the harshest of situations and still keep hope, we change , adapt and evolve to fit the situation, but no matter how much we change one thing always stays the same. Because war, war never changes.
I'm going to write a book and put that in the front page after the cover. You'll be credited.
Fucking poetic

I’ll be honest I thought it was just going to be changed vocals but this is truly amazing this song got a complete overhaul. This song is amazing keep up the amazing work guys ❤️🤟🏼
Aight, we need a dark souls 1 re-mastered now. This song is a masterpiece (Edit, so i was being a idiot so they did make a re-mastered, so i guess we need a re-mastered version of the dark souls 2 rap?)
Yes pleaseeeee
@Wyatt Hinton im gonna say 50/50
the ds1 rap isnt even 2 years old yet, this one was 4
HELL YEAH! It should be called Dark souls rap remastered prepare to headbang edition.
Omg fallout is my favorite game franchise and this song goes so well with it
As someone who prefers to play as nora it's nice that she's getting attention
Initially I liked the original better because it was more upbeat, but I gotta say the singing in this one is absolutely beautiful and well done. This ones my favorite now!
I'll be honest, JT, I love this reimagining! While the old version is really good, capturing the spirit of the Fallout franchise, Andrea kills it on this track! That, and as a rock fan, I love the instrumentals and the chorus for this one. Keep being awesome, you keep getting better and better!
Wasnt found to this at first. But coming back to it after a solid minute i really like and appreciate it. It wasnt asked for yet they still gave it to us for free. thanks
The memories of this song
As someone who very recently got heavily into Fallout 4, using it as a coping mechanism for this stay-at-home-hell, this video popping up in my feed excited me to no end.
Thanks, JT. You never fail to provide.
dont forget the original. that shit was a banger
The chorus is definitly better than the other one but the power the other one has, feels really good too. Both, both are good.
Not surprised if Fallout becomes real next month
Maybe
But we won’t have power armor
I did not expect this re-imagining to be so good as it was. It definitely painted a darker picture of the Fallout games... like the realities of the horror of the Great War... fucking amazing.
The line ,,I dont whant to set the world on fire" instantly reminded me of Fallout 3
