Honestly they have the same general plot (find x, see liberty prime kick someone's ass, etc...) when they have plot, that is. New vegas has a much better everything (except graphics for obvious reasons), hadn't all the Creation Club content (paid mods), and much more interesting storyline. Those are my reasons to say that NV is much better.

Both NCR and Legion are all focused on getting Hoover Dam that they run short on men and resources(NCR) or their very community and warfare makes it almost detrimental for them to even try(Legion) Courier just gets things done, like deliveries and quests, like an actual courier, and the only other faction that adhwres to that philosophy and is actually somewhat successful in the Mojave is Mr. House, since he only cares about keeping New Vegas up and running while pursuing his own goals for humanity, while letting the rest play along unless it concerns him

I'm excited for the remake of fallout 2, it uses the game engine of new Vegas, and makes it so that you can play fallout 2 from a first person 3d perspective rather than top down
One thing I've always appreciated is that S.P.E.C.I.A.L isnt something that everyone just has, it's a power that only certain people get, and it's not always obtained at birth, like for instance, in Fallout new Vegas, your character takes a bullet in the head from a 9mm Pistol, and gets knocked unconscious, after you wake up in doc Mitchell's house, and you assign your SPECIAL Points, its after that point that your character can take multiple shots to the head from rifles, shotguns, pistols, and others all at once, and can not only survive, can not only maintain Consciousness, but also return fire at the enemies, it's like SPECIAL just chooses people.
SPECIAL is nothing "special" it's just a measurement. Everyone in the game has some SPECIAL. For example: No bark Nolan - St 4, Pe 2, En 3, Ch 5, Ag 3, In 3, Lu 6
