Unfortunately I only have a dirt area for sledding and I’m trying to see what my options are. Do you think the M1t wheels would skid on loose dirt? Great video!
Probably not good on loose dirt, I say probably because I’ve only used mine on concrete but I’d be concerned about dirt getting into chain and having to constantly take the cowl off and clean chain. I’d just get a Titan Fitness push sled for less than 1/2 the price & free shipping. M1 is a beast but I use tire w/ a 100 pound dumbbell stuffed in it more than I use M1. It’s way better walking backwards
If it’s your own property, not a park or public sports field, maybe consider renting a vibroplate for a day and pack it down or even experiment in mixing in some bags of cement or aggregate to tighten up the ground. Probably find a video on YT.
Hey nice comparison… you mention they have the same type of resistance. How do they compare as far as level of resistance w/o any plates loaded on either??
I would have to say that the m4 seems to offers a higher level of resistance. I am not sure of the exact technical specs on it, but it does certainly feel that way. With that being said, the difference doesn't seem to be too big.
Wanted to kindly debunk your cons with the M1... 1st Con: plates aren't really need for the M1 or MR for that matter with the magnetic resistance being the big feature. The harder you push the more resistance you get with the options for more resistance with the lever or neutral. Only reason weights are add is for traction if even needed. 2nd Con: M1 has different end options. The high handles can also be taken out like you showed and flipped opposite ways for a different grip and different workouts. The low opposite end options allows for a lower push and also also for the pull options with rope and dual handle accessories. If you want to go the opposite direction with the same main handles is just and easy turn away like you showcased. In short the M1 is superior to the M4. It's literally the same machine half the price, more compact to take where ever, and has way more push and pull options coming from a Mobile Personal trainer in myself. 😊 🙏🏼 Again weight does not matter with both products when you're dealing with magnetic resistance. Better traction is the only reason for weights.
Thank you for the feedback/information! This is very good to know and very good for viewers to know. I certainly have to agree that the m1 is the superior machine without a doubt when it comes to a value/convenience basis. Have a great day
@@halfricasveryown What about skidding front wheel when pulling, have you ever experienced that? That's my biggest concern for the M1 and I have not heard that complaint about the M4..
I would say it isn't very noticeable to me. The M1 still gives a very good workout when the resistance is turned on. You can even stack sandbags on top of the plates for extra weight too.
If you have no weight on either, but have the resistance on both on the same level as each other, does the resistance feel identical? I’m just curious if all factors are equal if they feel the same
I would say that the larger tank feels a little more significant with the resistance at the same rate, just considering it weighs so much more to begin with, but I would say the difference isn't super noticeable.
It’s not the same. M4 is dual for both axles and the m1 is just one. Torque website is the way to go. He keeps saying it’s the same, it’s absolutely not. Dual purpose keeps constant traction on both ends. Helps with the lifting or “skidding” the m1 suffers from.
Were you able to tow the Torque Tank M1 with your belt? Or did you find the front wheel skidding?
I was able to tow the M1 with my belt. I didn't seem to get any skidding on mine. Thanks!
@@MattsMusings Thank you!

Can you push and pull the M1 from the same side?
Why do need tp stack weight when u got the resistance wheel?

Does weight matter if you are going uphill?
@@ayhanmecit4830 no. I tried mine out uphill in the neutral mode and it was killer.

Is it possible to tighten the handles on the m1?
I don't believe so. They have holes they just sit in that allows you to slide them in and out freely.
How much of a difference do you feel in the resistance? Is it significantly harder, similar or not noticeable?
I would say it isn't very noticeable to me. The M1 still gives a very good workout when the resistance is turned on. You can even stack sandbags on top of the plates for extra weight too.
Is it really worth buying over the rogue dog sled 1.2?
YES
I just bought the m4 it’s bad ass!!!

Max weight on the M1 is 135lbs, so 3 plates max stack makes sense.
