With the XT3 Plus Sled resistance making it up to 50% heavier than the original XT3 Sled, also making it the heaviest 3-wheeled sled option available in the world, built-in upright storage, built-in wheelbarrow function, ability to use the handles for X-Drive push and other exercises, ability to attach harness to the back to keep the front wheel engaged, and the option to add a console to track your workouts more effectively, we think the XT3 Plus Sled is definitely the top choice!
My xebex sled arrived, my review after 45 min use: -low bar and x-drive felt great -reverse walk with Mr infinity belt was great too - used 2 45’s for level 1-6. Used 4 45’s for level 7-8 Weights needed to keep wheel from skidding on driveway (might be that driveway is slick) could not see skid marks on street so possibly I don’t need this much weight elsewhere. The resistance is so great it’s easy to see why the extra weight is needed. -as a side note I will be getting an air compressor that inflates tires on contact vs screw on as the act of unscrewing takes away air pressure accuracy.
Sadly, I have never used a sled but looking into getting one, I see Louis Simmons at Westside Barbell swore by them praising their functionality of building the posterior chain and thus helping to increase ones squat, deadlift, and overall strength. Great review, as I am in the market for one and had no clue about them. Thnkx for the info As always your review was informative and entertaining. I hope U get the chance to go full time with your channel. I appreciate what U do and would Love to see 2-3 of your videos every week. I don't know why but it bothers me how you say Xebex. I've always said (and heard others say) Zeb-Ex, although I did find a robot voice who told me it could be Ze-Bex. You're in the Zi-bex realm right now. THIS IS THE REAL QUESTION WE NEED ANSWERED IN THIS VIDEO 🤪
@@MoSec9 I dunno, if we look at a more common word like XEROX, the XE is just pronounced as Z. So Xebex should be Z-Bex. So still not how Gluck is saying it.
Thanks for the review. Trying to decide… I hope KOT guy reviews this. Either way, will make decision by (or before ) Black Friday. Need to be looking for the belt/harness similar to what KOT uses.
Think you covered everything I wanted to know, and what I asked about on Instagram. Thorough video! Now, have to decide if I want to be waving to my confused neighbors as I struggle to push what appears to be an unloaded cart up and down our flat street. It's hard, I swear!
I've been slowly editing it but a lot of the footage is from prototypes or overseas and various places so it's a bit slow. I'm not sure exactly when but I'm working on it.
This does look like a good sled and it seems more budget friendly than others. I wonder if there is some way to create a USB-C adapter for the dangling wires so that the console wires can be plugged into a phone and use the data the sled is producing without requiring the console.
Weight sled is the one thing I miss when I work out at home. The gym I belong to has three astroturf lanes just for doing sled work and that is the best full body workout/cardio ever invented I believe. This would be very tempting except we have a three car garage two vehicles on one side and a Goldwing and yard equipment on the other.
Any chance Xebex airplus runner review is in the future? I am debating between assault runner elite and the airplus. I like the airplus concept of magnetic resistance and sled functionality
We have the Bells Motorless and have the review filmed (but it's out of stock atm) but I think after that we'll try the Xebex. We're also going to tour the Assault facility where they make all of theirs.
I’ll try this with some bolted together tires and see if the sled idea (in general) is a helpful addition. Seem like it though, tibialis is a tough one to work otherwise.
You kids have it easy these days. We used to strap a tractor tire to a pallet. Push it, it's a prowler. Add a tow strap and pull it, it's a sled. Terrible after a rainy day. The wood absorbed the water and would basically fight you to the death before moving. Only downside was tracking load, but we didn't use it for Crossfit, so numbers weren't necessary.
Without hanging out and without the handles sticking out to hold it upright? Haven't seen anyone store it without hanging it but I might just be missing something
A sled like this is on my short list. I have very little level grass and only 26 foot garage. Would be used in the street/driveway most often and I just don't see a typical sled working well.
I had the torque tank and a titan copy of the dogsled. the titan feels better in everyway, i use it on my driveway (blacktop) and the resistance just cannot compare to the torque sled.
@@ThatKayakingGuy gotcha. If you're using iron plates they'll rub on the frame and ruin the coating. If you don't care it's fine but it's an expensive piece so I don't want my coating gouged up. I always put a bumper plates on first to avoid that.
Ive been on the fence with the XT3 and M1 tank for about a year now and the few comparison videos that exist about them don't do much to persuade me either direction. This video on the other hand has tipped the scales in the XT3's favor and its not at the top of my christmas list.
It's not going to give the same resistance as a prowler but the Xebex Plus (or retrofitted like this one) gives a pretty good workout. Depends on what you're looking for.
Gluck, 1 question Hope this is not a silly question but I really need a pros input Can pushing and pulling a sled really increase the 3 main lifts (Bench, squat, Dead)? I need to justify spending this much money on something as this will be a Big purchase for me. Thnkx for all your Help
If you asked Louie and others they'd say yes. I think it does a good job of addressing weak points and things we often don't train but whether or not you can prove it has a direct connection to your numbers would be harder to prove. This with the improved resistance (the plus model) is what I'd go for with a magnetic 3 wheeled sled but if you can use a prowler or ski sled they're a lot cheaper.

looking to get a sled because of kneesovertoesguy. The problem is that doing it on teh sidewalk will defiantly draw the eerie of my neighbor also Chicago weather is not that great for pushing sled outside. I have about 25 feet of space I can use in my basement but that is probably too short for a sled. The new Treadmill from Bells Of Steel might be an option for me. I am just waiting for people to review the Dreadmill.
With its upgraded resistance is the Xebex XT3 the go to sled or would you get something else?
Just bought a torque mx tank, I think it looks better but don’t know if it performs noticeably better.

Can you push on the low handle and then immediately go into a backwards sled drag or do you need to turn it around?

Do the resistance levels add more feel weight to the weight already put on the sled?
From my understanding the weight doesn’t add resistance at all. They just stop it from slipping.
