A little warning on the box would be nice that you need to assemble 24 hours before use. I assembled the same day I was planning to use it. The photo on Amazon shows Teflon tape. Loctite was included instead. Unfortunately didn’t have any Teflon tape on hand to assemble for same day use.

Thank you for your comments. We apologize that the kit box does not have a notice about assembling 24 hrs. before use, but our assembly video does announce that. Yes, the photos on Amazon need to be updated as our product gradual improves with each production run. Initially, Teflon tape was included in the kit, but customers could not handle it and often put in where it was not needed, which created leaks. Threadlocker works better and is easier for most to use, but there is that 24 hrs. wait period. Normally this is not an issue because aside from assembling the launcher there is a fair amount of prep work required such as getting bottles ready, making weighted fall away nosecones, attaching parachutes, etc. and often waiting for good weather such as little or no wind blowing. In water rocketry it is best to prepare equipment and materials long in advance before actual launching, which makes for a much better launch day experience. That way one can “Seize the Day” when that perfect opportunity and/or weather appears and everything is already to go. However, we will take your advice and seek to add that 24 hr. notice before use to our next box print. Not that anyone reads the valuable information on it already.

Excellent video. I used plumbing tape on the threads when I assembled mine a while back. It appears you upgraded the cable lever to a metal one instead of plastic. I did the same also :)

Thank you for your compliments. We are always making improvements with each production run of our product, but most of them are minor. Everything seems to have a trade off. The advantage of the Teflon tape was that the launcher could be used immediately upon completion of assembly. However, people would put Teflon tape in places where it was not needed such as plastic threaded areas which created leaks. Hopefully the threadlocker will be easier to use and more effective, but it does require 24 hrs. to harden before using the launcher.

Hose connector does not need the threadlocker?

No need for threadlocker or Teflon tap on the hose connector threads. There is a rubber gasket in the top of the launcher body that creates the seal between the hose connector and the launcher body.
