- I work as a chef, used this processor at work, loved it, bought it, then made this video. Before you purchase a food processor, please watch this video on the Breville Sous Chef 16 Pro ❤️

Thank you for sharing this great video!
I've had my Sous Chef for over a year, and you reminded me of all use it the tasks I forgot I could it for. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful. Thank you for writing Elaine!
I liked your review, we have been looking at this one and you mentioned features that no one else has on UA-cam. Thanks!
This is a great video/recommendation. I got my Breville last week!
Enjoy! ❤ I still love mine.
I’m glad you treated yourself to this machine, Nina - you deserve it!
Btw - your stacked potatoes turned out awesome.
Thanks for the recipe!
This processor has been on my wish list for awhile.
Thanks for the update on the potatoes. We really enjoy that recipe too.
Thank you for this video ! 👍👍👍
You're welcome. I have posted a few videos where I use the processor for the recipe.
Here are two that I can think of:
Delicious seeded crackers and a pizza dough.

@@ninainthekitchen1455 pizza dough on my list!👍
What a nice, well-designed piece of equipment. Definitely going on my Wish List!
No ☹ of course not.
??? Is this reply for @nooncactus maybe? Unless, of course, you don't want me to have one! hahahaha!! In which case, I would be very sad! hahaha!
Yes, my reply was meant for nooncatcus, not you! LOL Of course you can have whatever you wish. LOL
Thanks! I'll tell my husband that!
I tell my husband that every day 🤣
I love Breville products! We just bought their toaster, which is lovely. I wish I needed a new food processor, but my Cuisinart is not too old and I can't justify replacing it when it still works. Enjoy!
Hi Tammi, it seems that everything Breville is lovely. I am waiting for the toaster oven to go so that I can justify getting their oven, lol.
Thanks Nina very nice demonstration you’re a nice lady
Thank you Richard. 🤗
This thing is unreal....highly recommended
Would it dice meat (i.e. for tartare)?
I’m curious about the amount of flour you can use. The recipe I have is for 4 cups of flour. Do you think that will be ok? I don’t want to break my food processor (I have the same as you)
I use 4 cup recipes with no problem. Enjoy!
@@ninainthekitchen1455 lol. As I continued to read the recipe, it calls for 5 cups! I appreciate your reply. Thank you so much!
Thanks. I just bought one. Shopping for a pizza stone now.
I hope that you enjoy your processor as much as I have. ❤️
I just ordered mine finally 7/21/2022
I'm excited for you! No doubt, you'll love it.
Yes I have had the big Cuisinart for 35 years DLC seven I believe and all of the blades but he did not have that dicing blade nor did it peel potatoes or beets and I thought it’s getting awfully hard to push the pusher into the switch I may have wore it out the motor is great but it’s really hard to use so I thought in this day and age I don’t know that they’re repairable so I would just go ahead and try the Breville. They make really good products I have the bread maker which I love I have enjoyed several products of theirs throughout the years they’ve always been high quality
@@kathyfann I also have a collection of Breville products and I completely agree 👍.
Too bad I don’t need a food processor. This seems like a flawless one. Are the parts dishwasher safe? 💜
I have carefully read the manual in the hopes of seeing "dishwasher safe" somewhere, but of course it's not there. :(
Nina In The Kitchen
Maybe that would have been asking too much for the various parts to be dishwasher safe. Thank you for checking.
@@nooncactusit's so easy to clean, it literal takes me a few minutes...😊
Is there a spiralizer blade for this machine?
I am not aware of a spiralizer blade. Breville has a website where you can shop for appliances and attachments. I would try that.
@@ninainthekitchen1455 Thank you!
@@RosiesArtStudio come to think of it, the KitchenAid mixers have spiralizer attachments. I hope this helps you.
@@ninainthekitchen1455 Thank you. I am actually trying to decide between the Cuisinart Element 13 which does have a spiralizer and this Breville. I am leaning towards the Breville and if it had the spiralizer or possibly one coming in the future it would win hands down for me over the Cuisinart. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Haven’t tried any round potatoes but the oblong ones do waste a lot of the potato .
What if we had the original and want to use the dicing?
The dice disks are an addition to this processor. You can buy them from Breville online, or buy this processor with the dice disks included.
If you already own the regular Sous Chef 16, you will need to get the "Dicing and Peeling compatibility kit". It comes with a new 16 cup bowl with three chute options that uses a special dicing spindle, a potato peeler disc (which works surprisingly well) and a 12 mm dicing disk and blade (medium sized dicing), as well as a storage box that fits under your Sous Chef 16 storage box.
You can also get the 8 mm and 16 mm dicing discs and blades (small and large dicing) that come as a set, but you absolutely need the compatibility kit to use them. They are expensive, but they are worth it!
If you decide to buy them, I highly suggest that you get yourself a pair of cut resistant kitchen gloves to handle these very sharp blades. It's very easy to forget which side of the dicing blade is sharp and which isn't.
For those who haven't bought the Sous Chef 16 yet, get the Peel and Dice version. You'll get everything the regular Sous Chef 16 has plus the Dicing and Peeling kit (12 mm).
I'm just discovering food processors!! I'm getting a 7 cup Hamilton Beach. Can't afford Breville 😂.
I'm not familiar with any Hamilton Beach processor. You should check out the KitchenAid processors. KitchenAid and Cuisinart are always highly recommended.
