The anxiety you described is what all artists go through. It feels great to hear it rather than hearing "perfection" through working a piece. It is beautiful and you inspire me everyday.

Your watercolour works are so impressive! The amount of realism in this piece.... wowwww I love how you create so much depth even in those dark areas like the nose and eyes, which can easily turn out so flat. I too love those turquoise accents you've added in! :)

It came out great! I know what you mean about charging fair prices for commissions. I struggle with the same issue. You don’t want to charge too much but then you want to charge what you are worth as well. The struggle is real!

I don't know if you're gonna read this, but I want to tell you how much I appreciate the hardwork you put in your channel. I've been watching you since the beggining and I can relate so much with your difficulties and struggles in a way that seeing you overcome all these obstacles makes me (and I don't think I'm alone here) so inspired to chase my own goals and become a better artist myself. I love to see you grow and I love to hear your stories but the best thing is to see the reality you bring to us, how hard it is, the emotions that come with it... You're a true inspiration for a lot of us out here so, again, thank you for taking the time to show us a little bit of your carreer as an artist so that we ourselves can be motivated to chase our own goals. Much love from Brazil ❤

As a portrait artist myself I totally know where you're coming from! I was nodding and saying "YES!" the entire video. 😂 Nobody I talk to seems to understand the struggles of portrait work. They think it's just a super easy/fun hobby where you simply put brush to paper and magic happens, haha. But it's hard! Usually about halfway through I want to throw the portrait across the room...but I push through, and finally having something to be proud of once it's done makes it all worth it. Lol, until I realized I didn't charge enough for the time it took. I FEEL YOUR STRUGGLE. 😊💕

I liked this video because it shows the struggle every one of us artist faces, whether we're amateur artists like myself or professional artists like you. We all struggle with self doubt but what you've shown us is if we push through the fear and not give up we are capable of producing something we are happy with or can be proud of. Thank you.

I've been going through a bad slump with my self-esteem in relation to my art, and watching videos of artists saying "just do it!! it's easy! everything will be fine! Love the pup painting honestly one of my favorite paintings you’ve done ❤️ def understood exactly what you meant by finding it harder to find shapes and feeling like it looks mostly like a mush , I believe def the human head as more planes so it’s easier to represent form and find shapes and I believe this issue comes more with watercolors than other mediums because of that fact that with watercolors you usually start light and build up layers to darken making the beginning stages look rough, as oppose to paint like oils you can start directly with a midtone or more commonly start with your darkest values and build up from there!

May I ask how do you come up with ideas for your illustrations, then develop it and put a twist to it? It’s just so unique, pretty, and comforting like your style. I tend to get stuck for so long thinking of those ideas and how I can enhance them with twists for unique and “originality” factor that I end up wasting lots of time that can be used for doing the project instead :( 💕 Also!! I just want to say thank you very much :((( the past months I have been at my lowest, so the artist in me is also losing the motivation and interest to do art, but discovering amazing people’s art accounts here recently, you being the first one and the one whom I get a lot more drive from, i am slowly getting back on track, getting inspired and enjoy my craft little by little. i hope this goes on even when school starts already 😭 thank you so much for being there sml! I appreciate you and your art so much!! i hope everything goes well to you always 🥺💓

I'm always so surprised to hear my videos/work can have such an effect on some people, I'm really touched I was helpful to someone in any way! Actually, that's something I've been thinking about a lot lately, getting ideas for paintings! I used to have the hardest time trying to come up with things too, but I think it's TRYING to be "original" that makes it really difficult. I've been trying to take inspiration from my day to day life and it's given me a lot to work with, and also I try to draw/paint what I love, even if it's not "cool and original", and it's helped! So maybe stop trying to come up with the "best" idea, but something that excites you and makes you want to paint, because it's about something that makes you happy! :) hope that helps, keep fighting!💪🧡

I understand what you decribing at 14:36 and from a neurological perspective this seeing forms but not seeing the desired image is a result of the left hemisphere of your brain analyzing what you are doing in an attempt to verbalize the image to fit what it precieves as "dog".
The recognizing patterns in a form no matter how unfamiliar is a byproduct of your right hemisphere deconstructing the image to creat abtract visuals.
I turn the canvas upside when my left H gets too active so I can just paint.

Girl, your work is amazing, you don’t need to put yourself down constantly. I was so amazed by your process but the negative talk I had to turn off because it was too much. Great work otherwise!
