    Hi guys!
    This week has been very stressful, but I've decided to turn lemons into lemonade by sharing the solution to my problem with you guys, so you'll know how to fix it if it ever happens to you!
    So, did you know about this? Or is it news to you too?
    Hopefully it helps.
    Enjoy,
    Sandy

    It fixed my problem too! I had been struggling with this some time, gave up for a while, got back to trying to fix it, was thinking about having it repaired and now.. like magic found this video :) lifesaver! my lower thread didn't come loose, but I could tell it wasn't right. the little pin tightens the tension on the bobbin case, it solved the problem. Learned something new! I can't tell you how much this means to me, those loops gave me a headache! i didn't want to use my machine anymore. I love sewing, but it was a mess every time. so frustrating. but now the stitches look good!! yeeeaaahh!!!! thank you so much

    I am not even kidding you. I have been fighting this machine for over A WEEK! Couldn't figure out WHY the thread was looping underneath. 😡 Have watched countless videos and tried every suggestion from those. Still......nothing.
    And then, on this beautiful morning I happened upon this video. The example of stitches you showed looked JUST LIKE MINE! So I pulled my bobbin casing out and tightened up that tiny little screw a turn & a half and......voila!
    IT WORKED! 😃😃😃😃😃
    BLESS YOU!
    THANK YOU!

    Where is this little pin located?

    • @seweasybysandy
      @seweasybysandy  Місяць тому

      Hi! It's on the front side of the bobin holder. I show it in the video, when you release the bobin holder there are two tiny pins in front of it, one is right in front of the bit that holds the thread to it, that's the one you'll want to tighten.

      @@seweasybysandy it helped some, still having the looping issue but not as bad.. may need another bobbin holder. My machine isn't that old but it's not top of the line either. I really appreciated your advice. I've been fighting with this issue since my second quilt project and couldn't understand why it kept doing this. The machine manual kept indicating it was a tension issue or incorrectly threading the machine but I don't recall the bobbin holder being mentioned. I'm a total newbie to sewing. Started last October.

      @@ebonywhite2903 that's such nerve wrecking issue! I was ready to throw my machine out the window! Tell me about the thread, is it a big cone or a small spool? You may also want to try cotton thread if you're not using that already and wrapping the top bobin in one of those nets that sometimes comes with the machine to make sure they don't unravel too easily. I've tried both of those things and saw better results.

      @@seweasybysandy hi, I did learn to play with the top tension settings, however I went on amazon and just purchased about 3 bobbin holders. And vuala no more looping 😊.. I wish i had just purchased multiple holders from the start. It’s too challenging to get that little screw right. I may play with it more if it becomes too expensive but so far so good. Thanks again for the tip of the bobbin holder causing my bottom looping.

  • @viktoriakireeva5860
    @viktoriakireeva5860 Рік тому

    If the loops are at the bottom of the fabric, doesn’t that mean that the tension is very loose in the top thread? To right at the bottom and too loose at the top.

    • @seweasybysandy
      @seweasybysandy  Рік тому +1

      Hi Viktoria. When the tension is loose at the top, you'll see the top thread sagging or looping. The only time top thread goes to the bottom is to make tiny loops. If the top thread is too loose, it's the loops that will be too loose. Have a great day!

    • @viktoriakireeva5860

      @@seweasybysandy yes, I can see loose loops on the bottom of the fabric. Bottom thread is like a straight line, but the loops which come from the top thread are visible and sagging at the bottom. Does it mean my top thread is too loose, right?

    i wrote this to my kid just now.. trying to get them to bed on the last night of school/beginning of summer break. perspective..
    "you know sometimes, how letting go of things is the BEST way to get them working in your favor?" ~ Sew Easy by Sandy
    google ~ The phrase "take a step back" means to pause or temporarily distance oneself from a situation or problem in order to gain perspective or consider it more objectively. It can also mean to slow down or reduce one's involvement or intensity in a situation.
    the phrase, "take a step back", that's what she's talking about at 2:09.. i love this b/c of the whole story about the quilt before she says that. it has real meaning. good shit. it's not the same, but hers has a similar thought process to my quote, "think now, move later"
    i find her interpretation of this 'alternate/wider-perspective' definition refreshing. like, it's feels encouraging instead of factual in nature.
    "you know sometimes, how letting go of things is the _BEST_ way to get them working in your favor?" ok, this phrasing is attractive b/c of the term, 'in your favor'. i understand it to mean that i'm getting what i want. i like getting what i want. i would like more of that. yes please.
    so what she's saying is, is that i need to not fixate on a thing that's troubling me, like what this vid is about. bad stitches. i just need to stop trying to make it work right for now, do some thinking while i relax a bit. maybe later, i'll think of something that'll get me what i want.
    this is my summer thesis.
