      Not it's a jumbled contradiction.sam Snead had what's called a one piece swing ask Jack nicholas.sam Snead was the best golfer if his generation.his hand go back to we're they began the club takes the same exact path on the downswing as it did on the back swing.very robotic.

      @@lllllsp1d3rlllll yes…but you’re confusing terms. Snead had a one piece takeaway yes, that is key to a nice coil & good swing but he also had a one plane swing meaning his backswing & downswing planes were about the same opposed to higher hands at the top dropping into the slot aka 2 plane swing. Not to be confused with single plane which is something entirely different referring to the address plane. For example Tiger woods 1 plane swing as well, Justin Thomas has a 2 plane but both of them have a 1 piece takeaway.

      Actually this is based entirely on Mike Austin’s teachings. You should check him out. Especially the vids where Mike is wearing a skeleton suit. It’s as informative as it is unique. Mike was the most knowledgeable person in history to apply his vast knowledge of the human body to maximizing power in the golf swing. He had a beautiful swing and often drove the ball 320+ yards. That was in the 60’s with a persimmon driver and balata ball. He literally would hit it 50 to 100 yards farther than the tours longest hitters today with the same equipment. (Rory, Bryson…)

      Yes, but without Mike's K and reverse K pivot leverage system. Austin didn't pressure his hips straight down into the ground in the downswing like Cowen and Sam Snead do/did. Two completly different swings.

      @@therealgolfsecrets Don't think so much detail. There are two principles that allow you to swing a club on plane. #1 A slightly swinging spine (Monti, Geiberger Sybervision, Snead, Singh, Tiger, Rory and all the top players) get's the arms on plane. #2 A counter rotation between upper arms and forearms gets the club on plane.

    The biggest problem is the "head" stays glued square down looking and "prevents" the body from turning. If you close your eyes and not look at the ball. Just let your head turn. Now you got it. You just need to sense your spine and balance. Don't keep two eyes on the ball. Just keep the ball within the peripheral vision of one eye. Key.

      I think you might be focusing too much on the "up". Focus on a deep (straight back) rearward hip movement and the "up" will happen naturally. Try setting up like Pete does in this video but take your hand and push the trail hip straight back (*while shifting a majority of your weight onto your trail leg). You will find the that the hip will rise up naturally without trying.

    So fucking true

  • @DASH1ful
    @DASH1ful 9 місяців тому +1

    Yes, the hip has to move "up and back on itself" but the hands and arms can't "spiral" with the hip. When the left side of the right forearm is facing straight in front, the arm has to lever back to the top of the backswing. So, the danger in focusing on the hip is that the arms can adopt the same pattern of movement. So, really we have to find a way of getting the hip into position without actually focusing on getting it into position. And, the solution to that is quite simple.

    • @therealgolfsecrets
      @therealgolfsecrets  2 місяці тому +2

      The hands and arms are attached to the body... so if the hip spirals up and back, the arms will passively move with it, putting them in the correct slot (without thinking about it). You don't need to find the right slot during the backswing if the lower body/hips move correctly. Watch all the Pete Cowen vids on this channel for clarification.

    • @therealgolfsecrets
      @therealgolfsecrets  3 місяці тому +1

      The hip goes up slightly because of how the hip socket works. If you just push your hip back deep behind you, the "up" will happen naturally, and you won't have to think about it. Tiger Woods uses the word deep. I like this word better because the "up" might make someone try to lift up unnaturally.

By your channel handle and your derision, you seem to advocate not existing, objective knowledge that is freely distributed, but rather, subjective knowledge that is hidden from the masses, couched as helpful by subjective public videos where only you and your masters know what you will never openly talk about. Is that accurate? It seems accurate.
      I have to ask… How can something secret be acknowledged by the masses as something that exists in fact? Curious. I guess it’s great way for you and your small, (brown?, wrinkled?) inner circle to avoid a debate of the facts. Good on ya, bubbles.

      Imma guess you’re being genuinely curious and a beginner. Multiple reasons why pro’s go to their coaches. One, they feel like their mechanics are drifting from what they learned and need a tune up. Two, the new movement they learned becomes natural but start affecting another movement which can happen. Three, certain areas of their game are costing them strokes so they are building a plan to minimize mistakes. There are many more reasons and keep in mind, pro’s from what I know do not go to their coaches every week like some recreational golfers. More like once a month for a touch up or sometimes just whenever they feel like something is off
