Something about...muscular ppls...and some other ppls...and a chick..and a dude. All you need to know is...this game (and series in general) is really really REALLY weird. Also instead of sprite, we have digitize characters.
Gameplay is like the previous Cho Aniki games: you control a character...and you shoot things. You can also power-up your "options" by collecting the protein orbs (something like that) with the options. Not only that, but you get some power-ups as well, from a laser beam to a time stop-y ability. However, using such a thing powers down the options. Options also power down from getting hit. Apparently, there's a PS1 version of this game...or something. This one is the harder version...or something.
This longplay no-skills the game on Normal difficulty while trying to remain sane and figuring out what the hell is going on!

Ah yes, the strong man game. A classic from Japan.
I want to believe that this is a licensed game and it's full of references to some Japanese absurdist humor comedy show I'm not aware of. Because otherwise I'm hilariously scared of the alternative that this was supposed to be taken in earnest, which is highly unlikely XD

I don't like how they replaced the gorgeous sprite art from the previous games in the series with frumpy live-action FMV. You could see every muscle in glistening detail in the older games. 😢

After watching this, even though its bizarre its a freaking fantastic game! Music is cool, nice graphics and gameplay... I had severely misjudged this game.

This is the 32-bit equivalent of Deep Blue on the PC Engine. Still, it’s hard to mess up a shmup but NCS definitely did there because they spent most of their time and budget making this game as uncanny (why’d they go for a Mortal Kombat style presentation?-_-) and as weird as possible rather than making the game fun which it isn’t. I don’t give any fucks about the characters whatsoever but those graphics get under my skin the most. Why real life rather than anime-style pixel art? It’s no wonder real human digitized sprites died in the late 90’s and never made a comeback. I don’t miss that era of game graphics at all. Go play Cotton 2/Boomerang, R-Type Delta, Gradius Gaiden or Hyper Duel any day of the week than this pile of rubbish. I can imagine AVGN doing a review on this one. He’d probably be horrified by the sprites of this one!
Looking at this game’s presentation makes me want to throw up because it’s digitized actors rather than sprites in surreal situations, quite disturbing actually. At least the music is energetic. Why did they make this game like this? Why, just why. Has there ever been a game you didn’t want to play because of its hideous presentation? This is definitely one of them. I also heard this game is freakin’ tedious because of the unnecessarily tanky bosses (JUST DIE ALREADY!), long stages and brutal gameplay. I’d shut this game off right away if I played it. Definitely NCS’s worst game they’ve ever made and the worst horizontal shooter on the PS1/Saturn (in my opinion at least). Go play something else or stick to the PC Engine offerings, anything else than this steaming pile of trash. There are way better shooters on the PlayStation and Saturn, I’m not gonna waste my time with this one. Also, why is the game on the PS Store? -_-
