We actually cut a hole in the roof to fit a Maxxfan Delux because they are one of the best fans out there, And when your building and converting a van into a campervan then some times you need to fit the best things, Cutting a hole for a Maxx fan Delux seems a daunting thing to do but its what makes van life so much fun its being able to do the thing that most people won't do, But its an easy job and even a fool can do it or should I say did it . the whole process was an easy one to do and I'm so happy we chose to fit the Maxx fan Delux because it will extract air for when your cooking and also bring air into the van when it gets warm. in this series of videos you can watch us as we convert our VW crafter in to a full campervan and take you along the build step by step hopefully helping and making you want to join us in building your home on wheels #maxxfandelux #vwcrafterconversion #urbanexplorer

"hope you're all smiling at that one" you never fail to make me chuckle . We both have the same type of speaky language when we're not on script :P I love your adlibbing, and it's fun watching it all come together in a way that isn't dry and boring. There's too many how to videos that are boring and mundane, you bring some life and personality which always makes me smile. I liked your exampl of blowing in and out... very thorough ;) :P "shoosh you" 😂
It takes some gonads to cut a hole in a perfectly good camper van roof!💥👊🏻 Loving this Neil!😎
thnak you my friend for watching , being you and the support your very very much appreciated sit
Brilliant Neil
I like the frame idea 👍🏼👍🏼, VanLifeRocks
it just gives the screws a bit more meat to grip in to rather than just the roof skin , that's my thinking mate
Urban Explorer ... great stuff 👍🏼
This looks cool Neil 😎
(Pun intended 😆)
I liked when you improvised with the towel to paint, we all got to do what we need to do!
Then I was blown away when it sucked the smoke away! Very Powerful!
yer its a great fan , and im allways doing things like that just improvise with what you have lol some times you have no choice , thanks for watching suzy
Great work! Job well done. Having it not leak is better than it looking good and leaking. Plus nobody will see it on the roof.
thats my thinking mate , i mean if any one is going oh thats a nice van but oohhh dont like the roof fan sealent then they can jog on , and thank you once agai for the superchat the other night it was unexpected and from the bottom of my heart thank you mate , i was in a bit of a muddle the other night cos of it all going on , so im sorry if i missed you out but thank you mate your a true gent and an amzing guy
I love the comedy you mix in with these videos. Nice work!
lol id love to say its scripted but its just me being me
@@UrbanVanlife I love natural beauty. 🤣
I'm loving this!
why thank you my friend, its nice to be able to build again and not just repair broken thing lol
Good pull made the car alarm go off.
hahahaaha i was like omg so much noise ,
nice van!
thanks buddy
U deserve more subs. Always leaving links for everything. And keeping things simple and explaining everything.and The vape is always close by😝
have to have the vape close mate cos i lose my sh*t every 30 seconds just no on camera lol, and thanks mate the subs will come in time buddy
Improvise adapt and overcome!
totally agree , we can adapt to any thing
Great video Neil
Thanks mate 👍
Great work mate
thank you sir , now get to bed you have work in the morning
Now you give me the doubts to buy a crafter haha 😂😂 cant wait to see the next video mate 😁
thanks mate , man there so big its unbelievable mate , and oh man i have loads more to come
Job well done mate 👍🏻
thanks mate
We're currently converting our Crafter and it will end up getting a MaxxFan as well. There are custom made roof adapters available in the US of A, I'm trying to source one in Germany right now. Saves from "building" a tape stack to get the height even all the way around... 😎
Couldn't help but notice you also have an alarm-equipped Crafter (sensors on the bulkhead and above the rear hatch)? 🤔
You're ahead on videos against us - as we have just started with our van - but we'll catch up. 😁 And we're subbed for the German-language-uninitiated! 😂
We're binge watching your conversion videos at this time, soaking up all the info. 📺🤪
Thanks a bunch, Neil and best regards from Germany! 🍀
hey guys thanks for the great comment , ok regarding the alarm sensor , you have one front and one back , i actually forgot to add the back one lol , but the front one we added just for a little extra safey , most people remove them but i dont see the point in doing that to be honest you may as well have the alarm fully working , if your on inst hit me up there if you need to ask aany thing guys , and good luck youll get it done in no time
@@UrbanVanlife Will do, Neil.
Cheers mate! Love it
thnaks dan there so good them fans mate , expensive but i think worth it and kind of easy to fit as well
Need to get myself an UmberEmma for when I do mine 😂! Great work man 🤙🤙
Them umberemmas are really handy . There small but get the job done perfect
Nice work. Love it ✌🤟
Thank you! Cheers!
Cheers mate!
Any time! buddy
I work for a company converting vw camper vans, wish you worked at my place like funny
That’s a cool job man . Bet you see some nice vans
Yeah we do some really nice custom jobs but im buying a vw crafter for a race van as my son races and im currently designing a kit to go into it
thats going to be fun , expensive but fun . there is something about doing vans up that some get and some just dont . good luck with the build mate im sure its going to look amazing
☔️ good work
Thanks bud 🔥
Brill 😊👍😄
cheers buddy
I've got an umbrella but not an ema
ill send her round lol
You always make me laugh. Nice fan install. Very smart to use a vape to show the suction. Sure looks like it has a lot of power.
i crack my self up as well , and i was standing there and thinking hmmm i can use vaping to my advantage lol , hope you ti guys and the doggo are doing ok
@@UrbanVanlifewe're doing great, thanks.
Loving your work fella.
One question. Looks like you have been busy, and it may be in another video you haven't released yet. Where did you get the unistrut from in the UK???
Looks like you are gonna make a brilliant job of this one mate, thank you for your tips so far, already I've learned a lot, you have some subtle ways of doing things that make stuff easier ( rule under the waste material for the fan, stops the waste falling in or tearing before cut is finished) top quality mate
yer your right bud im well behind with videos and trying to get them out asap , but the build is taking up all the time . i got it offf amazon mate it was the 41mm and came in 2 x 3mtr sections and was really cheap i think about £36 . im still waiting for the little screw things you bolt stuff down to but amazon mate delivered to your door
Love you work and videos👍be good if you could put up every product you use please like all sizes 🙏E.G what size was the sealant tape a ns the size of the wood you use please. And you are an inspiration 😊
the wood we uses was just 1x2 battons mate and tits just made to the size of the inner of the fan , also the tape im not to sure but we did use one whole reel of it , i dont like that stuff its kind of shittty but it dose what its ment to do i guess it just looks ugly
👍🏻
Good video this would be the job that would worry me the most, if it leaks it could cause so much mess I'd put sika flex on like they were giving it away ha, how long did it take? I've seen other you tubers do this over 3 bloody videos ha
yer mate im the same , its on the roof it dont need to loot like its from a factory and get that stika on , teh more the better cos i see so many people doing it and then making it all tidy and sexy loking , as if people care about the roof lol . but then they have to get back up there to put more on , just wack it on there . time hmm id say in all if im honest 2 hrs would feel about right , i think it to me about that . but im filming as well and that makes every job so much longer ,
Hi guys what size is your fan ?
The 400x400 or the smaller one?
Hi ya 👋
Our fans are the 400x400

At the moment mate we have 2 vans to do so have no time to do any thing mate I’m sorry mate .
@@UrbanVanlife ok no worries like I say it's the van from where I work so I'm wait for them to buy a new one first if your looking at 2 to 3 months I can wait sooner give you work that some big company.
So that's an umbrellemma?
😂
They should have called it “StikaFlex”, it’s a much better name... 🤣🤣🤣
mate i allwasy get names wrong lol
@@UrbanVanlife That's debatable. I personally think you have the name spot on mate.
I mean it dose stick and it dose flex . We could be on to some thing here mate . I see a buisness opportunity lol
@@UrbanVanlife 😂😂
Or gray and dark gray if your colour blind !
lol thats a good point , even slate
🤣🤣🤣🤣
