    I did like how you took the time to explain the important steps and the tools you used. It was an entertaining. I think if it was all too perfect - it would make us feel we couldn't do it. But when we saw the not so perfect - and how you molded it into something good - does make me feel that I could give it a go too.

      Hi Stephen, what a nice comment thank you, it means a lot and has made our day as we have always said we are not professionals and we like to think that by seeing us do things others will be willing to give it a good go too! Thanks again and good luck, if we can do it anyone can!

    PS people at the end of that video I think I saw him slide that window open and the open part was the front and you slid the glass towards the back. Everything that I have read tells you to put the stationary part of the window towards the front of the van and that prevents the rain and water that gets sliced up against the vehicle from going into the crevice between the two panes of glass and potentially causing a leak😮 always keep the stationary panel to the front

    • @UrbanVanlife
      @UrbanVanlife  Рік тому

      You can put them in any way you like it really dosnt matter they seal . And they have never leaked . So don’t believe everything you read . Cos let’s face it they have been in for 3 years and not one leak

    • @justjudy7320
      @justjudy7320 Рік тому

      @@UrbanVanlife so you're telling me I should not have believed the manufacturer of the windows that I purchased and installed like they recommended? I didn't know why that's what they said until I watched a couple of videos and then I thought huh that does make sense..

    • @UrbanVanlife
      @UrbanVanlife  Рік тому

      @justjudy7320 well I can tell you 1000% ours have not leaked at all . So what dose that tell you . But let me know if yours leak . You also say about the manufacturer . We didn’t say who it was just where we bought them from ?? May be you got different windows that have to be installed that way cos we know plenty of people who fitted them like we have and funny enough non of there’s have leaked . It could be you have different ones

    • @UrbanVanlife
      @UrbanVanlife  3 роки тому +1

      My thinking is your screwing Barton’s to a metal structure to then put ply up on to the battons . It makes no sense to me why people do it . I mean if any thing you lose 2 inches of width but for what reason ?? 2 inches is not much , until you need it to be 2 inches bigger
