I liked how the show started, but Disney quickly relied upon their usual tropes to appeal to smooth brained people.
Boba living with the sand people was cool. It gave boba some character development and explained what he was up to until his appearance in mandalorian. Then the moped squad became a main character, and they just relied on gorgu and the mandalorian to build hype, which went terrible.
It was a show to Disney-fy Star Wars.

He looked fine to me until his hat came off in the end episode. His forehead is supposed to be fricking huge. Megamind style. And that's not just clone wars styling, that's how duros have looked since a new hope.
In book of Boba fett his head was just a blue bald human head, no tallness or width added

The worst part of it is that if they didnt include the two best episodes of the series, and just replaced them with more of Boba, the show would be alot better. Imo they shouldnt have included mando at all. It was nice seeing him again, but his episodes not just took valuable time from boba´s story, in the end it also fucked up the whole plot of season 2 of The Mandalorian. I loved seeing luke and grogu train, but that should have been in the first two episodes of Mando season 3.
Also, after boba fires his rocket at the droids, it magicaly recharges later when he´s riding the rancor :D ( 10:00 - 10:49) But maybe he grabbed another one while he was getting the rancor.
I just want to add that I still enjoyed it, but I wasnt blown away by it. I was very happy when a new episode droped because that meant I had something to watch, but after the power rangers were introduced and their ridicilously slow chase scene, I was always wondering if the next episode was going to be shit or not. I also was never invested in the characters, we just never spent enough time with them.
Also I didnt really mind the wierd live action cad bane, but I was happy that people understood my pain, I had the same reaction to how ashoka looks, imo the actor who plays her doesnt look anything like her, the shorter tail things (forgot the name) on her head being shorter isnt a problem, I understand why they did that. But you cant just change from a round almost chubby face structure to a very sharp and pronounced face structure, even if years passed from the time we last saw her, faces dont change like that. And even if its a cartoon to live action, that deosnt happen. Her voice actor from clone wars would be a way better fit imo. But whateve, cant change it now.

You know when they had more episodes available or going for more but shorter episodes, they could have been more flexible with the story and would have also had more time for Bobas Tusken background

It didn’t fuck the plot of season two of mando? The whole point was that grogu and mando need each other, this is shown with grogu’s choice being to go back with the mando and the mando had it shown that he was willing to break the rules of his creed for grogu. Mando gave up being part of the covenant for grogu just as grogu gave up being a jedi for mando
It was a marginally enjoyable disappointment. Good enough to keep me invested, but bad enough for me to feel genuinely worried about the upcoming Filoniverse live action projects.

To be fair I kind of liked boba's personality in the last episode he felt like boba again he stopped removing his helmet like an accessory as well.

I absolutely agree with you! I had fun Watching it as a kind of filler, and they should have saved the last 2 episodes for season 2 or even season 3 of Mandalorian. Also those 2 Episodes should be an entire season of their own since rushing them in 2 Episodes ruined the pacing for me. I wanted to like it but now it's just meh to me
More episodes would have really saved this season. Then they would also have more time for Bobas Tusken Background story
Rancor shrugs off a beating from the giant droid and Din's flamethrower (down the throat). Runs away from Bane's flamethrower.
The beginning was fine, but it started getting confusing in the final 4 episodes..

I don't like how this show was handled as a Mandalorian spinoff. Its been 40 years and Boba finally gets a show, and its a spinoff of another guy's show.

I will never understand why people dislike how Cad Bane looked in TBBF. He looks fucking great. Sure, he could be a more saturated blue color but come on, he's well rendered and animated and you know exactly who he is when you look at him.
idk i thought it was ok other than the idiots with the droid parts and the 60’s scooters. cad bane was supposed to look a lot older and he did. peoples skin pigment gets lights a lot of times with age so it kind of makes sense. i love mandos naboo starfighter and that grogu is back. love that the rancor is there purely for fan service with cad bane too. the story telling was horrible… mando made no sense why he was there, save it for his own show.
I think the reason this show did bad was the way they portrayed boba, he should have been more badass bounty hunter like the original trilogy version instead of a older guy who relies on every one else to do things for him.
I wish they'd have just stuck with Boba Fett and cut out the mando, grogu, luke and ashoka parts.
That all felt like mandalorian season 3 and took up so much screen time that would have been better spent developing everything around Boba Fett instead.
I agree, I was really excited when I learned Cad Bane was going to be in the show. he is one of my favorite villian's. but when he makes his first appearance in the show however, He looks great the way the costume designers did him up but then you see his face. its to stuffed together, looks like he has a baloon up his face, NO TOOTHPICK, and hes more of a sneering combatant than a Whitty bad guy. Im glad they got the same voice actor but theres no snarkey banter, no fun Whitty charisma or methodical mastermind like the Bane we know and love. just kinda more of a hardened gristled butt munch and was taken out by Boba way to easily. I would have loved to see more character development for later show episodes. just my opinion though. also as an aside, I hope we get to see anything involving Sabine and or Ezra in any of the upcoming series. Ahsoka was looking for Thrawn in season 2 of Mando, and at the end of rebels Ahsoka and Sabine went looking for Ezra. I still years later after rebels ended want to know what happened lol.

There was only 5 episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, 2 were just Mandalorian episodes LOL Plus they should have had another episode to flesh out the final battle, it was just too quick and clean to be truly entertaining. Like you said, more tactics would have been nice.
Also Mando didn't pick up the Dark Saber (he left it on the ground when grabbing Grogu)...
Some how. I think how Cad Bane looks is minor and nit picky at best. Compared to everything else that is wrong about the show. When people complain about stuff like that. You know some thing else is terribly wrong. Like the story. Mandolorian. Your not safe.
Also the end credits scene…. Bro by the time its mando season 5 or bobf seson 3 or whatever, everyones bodies just gonna be droids
This series really took away my respect for boba, he went from ruthless to merciful and patient which is not what makes a bounty hunter successful, he got taken advantage of throughout the series and shouldn’t have survived half the time
You’re wrong on so many levels. He’s always done the kinds of things that he does in the book of boba fett, but before he only had like 4 lines in the main movies and a few cameos in the mandalorian. Boba is a quick learner. He’s seen two failures rule over tattooine, and improved on what they did. He sticks closely to the mandalorian code due to his father being mandalorian. Mandalorians are violent and unforgiving but fair. He wants to “rule by respect”.
He saw the failures in ruling by fear, and drifted far away from that.
I would say patience would be a very important trait in a bounty hunter, but in the book of Boba Fett, patient meant sitting around and doing nothing a lot of the time.
While I enjoyed the show, it was kind of a one watch type of deal, I can't go back and watch the episodes cause I just get bored
I agree. Its a great series but the very small tiny details is what makes it so silly, like the colorful vespas. I am literally cringing everytime they move around the city like they're the authority.

but they had to brand it as book of boba fett so they would get more money

I have to say I loved it. I loved the surprise (for me) that Cad Bane was there and also strong Luke. I try not to think about the sense too much sometimes in star wars and be happy with how cute grogu is.
The only thing that actually really bothered me was the vespa gang (and the speed of that race) and the super droids super shield things because they literally hit NOTHING they aimed worse than stormtroopers
Yes! I stopped worrying about Star Wars making sense when they explained that ~5 year old Anakin was too old to be trained while they left Luke with his dirt farming uncle for ~18 years before training him in the ways of the force.
The vespa gang could've been better if they weren't simultaneously trying to make them out to be dirt-poor teen punks while they also ride around on the flashiest most expensive looking vehicles on the planet.
61% audience reviews is mixed... not horrible.
Also the fact that Krrsantan was attacked by a bunch of sword yielding Trandoshans in a galaxy full of guns

Th Book of Boba Fett as a stand alone series was awesome. Trying to insert the Boba Fett we all know and love from the origional 6 and a half minutes of screen time in Empire and Jedi is what makes it suck. As long as you let Boba Fett stay in the Sarlac and embrace the new Boba Fett it's easier to enjoy the series.
I found the flashbacks much more interesting than the modern day.
To be honest, what do you expect from a blockbuster tv show on disney+? Star Wars will never be like in the old days and the best example is the newest trilogy.
Yeah the worst part was the Power Rangers. I thought the rest of it was not that bad.
Considering they already appeared in ep 3 and stayed till the end... alone that should be enough reason :D

The show just felt so strange. In the trailer we have Boba executing Bib (who is unarmed) just like that. But then during the rest of the show he is just extremely soft and keeps getting taken advantage of. The shootouts throughout the show are with only a very few being decent absolutely terrible. Especially in the last episode it felt like watching Bob the builder or some shit. It is just so so sad how Disney keeps ruining SW over and over again with their flowery and happy bullshit. For God’s sake there is nothing wholesome or flowery about a planet ruled by gangs that are poisoning the population with highly addictive drugs. Wtf

Boba Fett was written by the producers’ kids. I’m sure of it. No adult screenwriter could write such bad dialogue. Also only children would think the Vespa gang was cool. The only thing that even makes any sense is the overload of western references. Episode IV is basically a western in space. They’ve always liked the spaghetti western and samurai film aesthetic in this franchise. The rest was garbage of the highest order though.
Well it would be an interesting project if real kids would actually write a show and then the producers have to produce exactly that

I'm satisfied with what we got though it could have been much better. I'm not 'Last Jedi' butthurt over it.
Unfortunately shows like these are made for entertainment rather than art. They'll cram as much fan service and cheap laughs as they can afford with their budget as its the cheapest way to ensure popularity. Thor Ragnarok is a pretty good example of this I think.
In this case unfortunately the world building went out of control and the writers gave an unnecessary amount of time to Grogu and popchultúr references rather than develop their ideas
ehhhh i mean without the train episode you don’t have tension between the different crime syndicates or the reintroduction of the marshall. the flashbacks show how much the raiders mean to him which shows why he continues to carry the staff allowing him to defeat cad bane. “everybody already knows the pikes kill his Tuscan Raiders tribe” this is a direct contradiction you say everybody knows this but also say that the flashbacks are pointless how would somebody know this without watching the flashback episodes? also this just further proves that flashback episodes show that the Tuscan raiders matter to Boba Fett showing that he continues to carry his staff. also boba is trying to avoid fighting a war which is why they don’t just kill all of the crime leaders right away, yeah fennec does it surprisingly easy. a lot of these “pointless” episodes build tension and create back story if the series was gonna be all main story it would’ve been just the last episode
also this is extremely minor but Thundercat having spaghetti colored hair, this has nothing to do with the story but you were arguing that Thundercat should not have spaghetti colored hair in a universe that has blue colored aliens with elongated faces that have red eyes, in a universe that has a underlying force that can be controlled by anyone beyond space time and matter like???? yellow colored that’s an incontinuity?? what?

For me the show doesn't matter, it just feels like a very bad fan project. I rewatched ep 5 and 6 already a few times, and contrary to most other people I just see those two episodes like a small mando-spinoff. I also think that ep 5 and 6 were originally planned for mando season 3 because they don't match the story, look way better, have better fight coreography and show more than the same 2 streets and sand. BoBF was probably rushed, so we got that mess of a show...

definitely too much fan service, and the shitty Vespa's ruined my immersion in the universe. every time they popped up i felt repulsed by what was on the screen. they killed off cad'bain WAY to early, and i am pissed they killed off the sheriff... i actually liked the sheriff and was hoping he would become like a supporting character to Boba/ Boba's police chief type deal. also don't know how i feel about how they killed off the entertainment twi'lek lady. feel like there was more story to be unfolded with her for some reason.
first of all, its a marshall and secondly there is a scene in the end, which shows him in the bacta tank about to get repaired by the cyborg dude
Disney completely ruined star wars in my opinion. Especially with the sequels, Rey is not a real jedi, Poe isn't a smart pilot, and Finn is just..... R E Y !!!! Kylo isn't a real villan, the plot of all the sequels were trash, Rey Skywalker is a stupid idea, and palpatine died in episode 6 he did not survive that fall.
The only bad episodes were directed by Robert Rodriguez. Some parts were honestly embarrassingly bad. He is a corny and childish director.
Would go with your point for like 80%. Imo Dave and Jon are surely the future of Star Wars but they also often take it too far and play around too much...

i can rly understand some points and yes the Title: "The Mandalorian. Book of Boba Fett" would be better but this series was awesome. i loved the part where Boba was changing from a good but 0815 headhunter to a multi leveled personelity.
i like the Mods because its a "rebellios" Sub culture, somethign like tatooine Punks. Soemthign that dosent fits right and exactly that make them fell so natural for me.
and Boba wanted a nonviolent solution. but when the pikes attacked teh sanctuary it was done, thje other syndicates betrayed him and so he "realesed" Master Assassin Fennec Shand.

Dude… I hated the book of Boba Fett. It was such a perfect example of character assasination, and I’m always so annoyed whenever I see, either a very mild Star Wars fan, or a Star Wars fanatic absolutely praise the show because what’s happening onscreen looks cool or what’s happening onscreen is familiar fan service. Im somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of Star Wars fan, and I absolutely hated what they did with it
