@@gi.an_m9525 you’re right, he was. That’s part of my point. He knew he couldn’t win being the fastest in a gunfight against Bane. But he knew he could win hand to hand close quarters. That’s why he acted so wounded and didn’t grab his blaster. It was like a foot away, he easily could’ve grabbed it if he wanted. But he knew Bane wouldn’t be expecting a gaffi stick move.
Cad Bane had the upper hand. If it wasn't for his ego and letting his guard down, he would've popped Boba's head. Personally, I love the result of the showdown. Always wondered who was faster between Boba and Cad. I'm somewhat satisfied. One more thing. Cad Bane is not truly dead yet.
Yeah pretty much. Cad out drew Boba, dodged his gadgets, shot him again and had him pinned down with a his gun to his face... then he decided that was the best time to get up and start giving a speech instead of just shooting him in the face when he had him pinned down.
Yeah I pray they bring him back again next season. He aint dead. But also this was probably the only time he's let ego get Infront of his job. Looks like it cost.
I honestly think that this is the best Cad Bane has ever been. His role in this series, while very limited, does feel like a culmination of what the character was always building towards. A quick draw in a space western! He also seems way more menacing in live action. I also think he was the perfect Villain to shoehorn in to give Boba a somewhat personal enemy. After all, they both come from the Clone Wars era. It's fitting the duel take place between these two and not Din Djarin. He's definitely no match for Boba in a straight up fight, as seen here. However, I was surprised at how he almost got the upper hand due to being faster on the draw. Shot him in just the right spot!
idk about definetley no match for boba, we've seen him go toe to toe with ahsoka and anakin separatley and obi wan and quinlan vos simultaneously. When have we ever seen boba fett show off those kind of feats?
The reason why Cad Bane lose is he underestimate Boba Fett by getting closer to him.. he seem to forget Boba Fett is the great fighter in close quarter combat.. had he didn't underestimate by approaching him.. Boba Fett would have a difficulty to defeat him
I'm still surprised that they had brought Cad Bane into the show, I watched his appearances in the clone wars and knew what he was capable of; so it floored me to see him walking ominously toward Cobb Vanth even after the end of the clone wars with that signature voice and even more signature quick-draw.
I've heard several people complain about his appearance in the show, but you got to remember the other show that he was in with animated and fuss they used a stylized animation style to portray the characters so I think this is probably the best you can expect from a live-action version of him. I happen to think he looks pretty cool but then again I'm kind of biased as he has always been one of my favorite out of the newer characters to come out
I honestly like his design a lot for the live-action, since pretty much everything is practical it fits right at home, his withered blue skin makes sense considering hes pretty old.
This fight reminded me of Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef. In the movies, Clint is faster with his gun but is less accurate, while Lee is slower but more accurate. Same goes for Boba and Cad. As you could see, Boba draws and shoots first, but misses as Cad is slower but is very accurate.

I for one don't mind Cad Bane's Death, he was a fun Bounty Hunter and I'm sure he'll be back in other star wars projects that take place before his death. So until then......R.I.P Cad Bane
Ehh... I honestly believe that Cad dying at the hands of Boba is a great decision because of their rivalry. But this rivalry isn't really shown, it's just being told about so it would have been nice if they built it up first before killing of Cad. A lot of people were expecting this too so they're a bit disappointed which I think is fair.

Kinda underwhelming actually… Personally I think they should have had a proper shootout and melee fight. Not to drag it out, simply to establish that they’re somewhat equally matched until Boba gets the upper hand. They also should have added Cad Bane in a loooooot sooner. A lot of viewers don’t know Bane or the history with Fett. So including him from the start as a neutral party that’s then hired to oppose Fett would have been much better for all characters.

Lotta people hating on this, gotta day I don't mind it. Only change I'd make is I'd not have Cad Bane get off him and try to keep Boba Fett pinned while he's going for the kill shot and have Boba kinda push him off to avoid the shot and then try to disarm him with the Tusken staff or just finish him since I don't think it made a lot of sense for Bane to get off him. That kinda just made him wide open for a counter, not that I think Bane thought he could out muscle Boba but it at least showed he considered the possibility and that probably was his best chance. But other than that move for move it's just how I thought a fight between them would go. Not the flashiest in the world but that's not really Bane's MO.
Nah, Cad should've just instantly headshot Boba after landing the first shot and then call it a day. None of the monologuing or him trying to keep Boba pinned to the ground makes any sense whatsoever when he could've just ended things right then and there.
@@RubenMakaya Not sure that would have worked, he had to go in close to get his helmet off. If he just shot him in the head without doing that it probably wouldn't have worked.

Cad Bane had 0.5% of the screen time in this series and was far more terrifying and interesting than Boba sadly. No ones fault, the series just didn't click outside of the parts with Mando. Bane was amazing, they shouldn't have killed him off, big mistake.
Lets hope book of boba fett s2 has cad bane training flashbacks showing a sort of care from bane as a guardain saving bobas life on multiple occasions would really show a side of him we never seen he obviously hesitated to shoot boba he had more than 5 seconds boba even closed his eyes but still he did not shoot
I just realized why Cad Bane didn't move much and Boba said it himself "You are an old man." It makes sense considering Cad Bane has been alive since the Clone Wars, where even Obi Wan got too old to move acrobatic.
While thats a valid excuse for Bane, its not really for ObiWan since old jedi can use the force for acrobats, at least for a short time. The reason why you dont see Old Ben use it is because two things. Obi doesnt use that style anymore since QuiGon died, seeing its shortcomings to switch to an entirely new defensive form of saber combat. The second and last reason is simply because Alec Guinness (the actor for Ben Kenobi in a new hope) was super old and could barely keep it together during his saber duel with Vader, which is both somewhat realistic by being out of his prime.
Fun fact before the clone wars was canceled they did have an arc planned with Bane mentoring a young Boba and the young Boba would kill Bane in a showdown. I am so glad that didn’t end up happening because that I feel would’ve been more bullshit then Bane only benign in two episodes in this show.
Honestly, their interactions were pretty underwhelming. I thought they would talk more about the last time they fought and any grudge they have against one another. Also as shown from their deleted fight in Clone Wars, Cad Bane and Boba are almost equal speed in terms of shooting
Somehow, it feels so out of character for Bane to just monologue and allow Boba to finish him that easily. Should've shot him and then ended his journey right then and there lol.

I don't know why people are upset that boba killed cad here. He was a gunslinger and enjoyed his stanfoffs, that's how most gunslingers die as there's always a faster gun. He was still active in his 70s and he Disney seem the type go retire so it was the right time to end him

I love how Boba baited him into close quarters so he could use his gaffi stick. Something Bane absolutely did not expect.
i mean, boba was overpowered by bane
@@gi.an_m9525 you’re right, he was. That’s part of my point. He knew he couldn’t win being the fastest in a gunfight against Bane. But he knew he could win hand to hand close quarters. That’s why he acted so wounded and didn’t grab his blaster. It was like a foot away, he easily could’ve grabbed it if he wanted. But he knew Bane wouldn’t be expecting a gaffi stick move.
@@Jacobi.G i still think boba would've been helpless if bane shot him while he was talking!
@@gi.an_m9525 he did shoot him point blank in the face and boba miraculously dodges so it hits his armor instead...
Something he was bad mouthing minutes earlier too.
Full circle
@@thewalrus45 Honestly I think he would of if the series wasn't called The Book of Boba Fett.
Why he isn't dead?
@@honestmaster1932 After this they had a shot specifically focusing on his wrist gauntlets and they were still on after he was stabbed.
@@masterofall4elements820true, we only seen in legends that Boba is able to go against powerful users but in canon he literally has nothing
The reason why Cad Bane lose is he underestimate Boba Fett by getting closer to him.. he seem to forget Boba Fett is the great fighter in close quarter combat.. had he didn't underestimate by approaching him.. Boba Fett would have a difficulty to defeat him
Same case in the fight between Fennec and Bane in the bad batch
@Esther Jong same thoughts, brother. Same thoughts.
Boba fett lost to a stick-wielding tusken raider woman in close quarters....
@@JKL_1999 Bane beat Fennec in the fight he knocked her out twice.
I'm still surprised that they had brought Cad Bane into the show, I watched his appearances in the clone wars and knew what he was capable of; so it floored me to see him walking ominously toward Cobb Vanth even after the end of the clone wars with that signature voice and even more signature quick-draw.
Cad Bane should have his own show about what happened after the clone wars
I've heard several people complain about his appearance in the show, but you got to remember the other show that he was in with animated and fuss they used a stylized animation style to portray the characters so I think this is probably the best you can expect from a live-action version of him. I happen to think he looks pretty cool but then again I'm kind of biased as he has always been one of my favorite out of the newer characters to come out
I always thought of his less blue color on this show, to be like hair that is greying. Like his species loose color as they grov older.
Cad Banes blaster sounds so cool and more intimidating in this series compared to the audio used in The Clone Wars
The blasters are different in the book of Boba Fett
I love the fact he used the tuskins training to defeat cad, it really paid off
the star was fan base are the most toxic beings in this world. They are hard to please and can never be satisfied....
I for one don't mind Cad Bane's Death, he was a fun Bounty Hunter and I'm sure he'll be back in other star wars projects that take place before his death.
So until then......R.I.P Cad Bane
Well said. I agree 👍
From the time you posted this. I haven't seen anything "toxic" in this comments section.
Can we stop defending Disney SW garbage decision making? This was crap, call it out for what it is Cad Bane deserved better period.
@@handsmcgee8331 disney sequel movies are trash not series
That sound Bane made when he died was creepy!
This scene is much more interesting when I know that this duel was supposed to happen (a little bit differently, but still) in one of unfinished episodes of “The Clone Wars”.
That clone wars scene is cannon. You can see the plate on Banes head from the shot Boba landed
@@te179
Was it ever confirmed that this deleted scene is actually canon?
I am asking, because I never saw information about this.
I noticed this thing on Cad’s head, yeah, but it was never mentioned if this deleted duel actually happened.
Only thing I found was information that deleted scenes from unfinished episodes are not canon, because for example some unfinished episodes focused on Clone Force 99 were used later in seventh season, but were also changed in many ways.
@@melanix8 Filoni said it's canon unless it's changed so it is canon but can be changed which they already did as he was going to die in that dual so they changed the outcome he survived with a steel plate in his head.
Everyone else in Star Wars: *dies*.
Cad Bane: *dies in autotune*.
I liked that ending for those two characters
Not only is Boba Fett the strongest and feared bounty hunter he also made cad banes auto tune go off 2:37
😂
Believe me,when he was first INTRODUCED in the series I was SCARED to my CORE.
Cad bane is literally my favourite character I’m so sad he dies
This scene definitely made that one deleted clone wars scene canon for me at least
Boba’s “but i have armour line” killed the scene. The dialogue is so perfect and tension is so high and that line just messes everything up.
The Clint Eastwood of Star Wars
Cad bane almost killed the plot armor
You know, Boba's fate post Sarlacc is still a mystery. So there is no plot armor (I know that you're joking about the beskar armor). He could die at any moment. I know it's not likely because Disney wouldn't want to loose Boba Fett so quickly. But I would just not call it a "plot armor".
Never even heard of Cad Bane before this show and he creeped me tf out. Great character killed off really soon. Reminded me of Darth Maul. No cheesy dialogue, just a badass doing badass stuff
he's a lot better in the clone wars
I expected Bane would die in this episode.
Me too.
I honestly did not expect Cad Bane to die real soon like in this episode
Kinda underwhelming actually…
Personally I think they should have had a proper shootout and melee fight.
Their old warriors, that wouldn’t work
@@willpettitt3271 Boba is only 41. That's not "old", and Cad clearly showed here that he could move just like he always has.

I hope cad bane is still alive for the next season. He's one of star wars' most interesting characters

@@Gotham_bat759 What's even sadder is that they've reduced Boba Fett into a character who can only win when the plot makes his enemies incredibly stupid (like Cad in this scene) and not in a logical way that makes sense. He wanted to be a protector not a killer anymore. But he neglected the community that resurrected him.
But towards the end he realizes, he was always a Killer. But now he doesn't have to kill for profit, but he can kill to protect.
All hail the DAIMYO OF TATTOOINE
Clash of the iconic bounty hunters

A great end for a great character, at the end he died proud of his student, however in my opinion I think it was too soon kill him just 1 episode after his live action debut, personally I'd like to think he's still alive, but if he's really dead, I hope he appears may be in others star wars live action shows like Obi Wan's show.

That's very ironic, given one of my character's saves him from drowning in a river in one of my stories. She had no reason to, given Mr. Bane injured her father earlier, but she still saved him because its the right thing to do.
I want Cad Bane to live.
Cad Bane should still be alive I think I get he was old but one stab c'mon he's a deadly bounty hunter. He should have had more screen time if they weren't giving us Bossk

i wish he didnt die this characater had soooo much potential, im so sad
Cad has a weird muppet baby smirk goin on in this lol.
Could Cad still be alive? Seems like he has so many gadgets
To be fair boba could've flown above him and blew him up

When you want to shoot shoot don't talk: Tuco Ramirez
Somehow, it feels so out of character for Bane to just monologue and allow Boba to finish him that easily. Should've shot him and then ended his journey right then and there lol.
Kind of disappointed I love the character Cal Bane probably the best character for the whole series and the most hype they've had and they kill him off feel like I've just watched The Phantom Menace again.. I used to love the character of Boba Fett but he's pretty much brown bread these days 🤣
Cad bane went with the Bloodbourne parry

Cad: I m still faster than you
Boba: your head suggest otherwise
Why couldn't the show be more of this instead of what we got?
I don't know why people are upset that boba killed cad here. He was a gunslinger and enjoyed his stanfoffs, that's how most gunslingers die as there's always a faster gun. He was still active in his 70s and he Disney seem the type go retire so it was the right time to end him
