The Book of Boba Fett has many references to other movies and westerns such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, A fistfull of Dollars, Spiderman, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Parc, Superman, The Untouchables, The Great Train Robbery and especially Lego: Ninjago!

All the scenes where The Mandalorian flies his new starfighter are intentional callbacks to the podracing sequence from The Phantom Menace.

So you’re telling me that the only original thing to come out of that series is a bunch of edgy space punks on rainbow scooters that cap off at 20mph?

I’d imagine they would thin of the story and then realise how close it is to these older films, so they tweak the scene a bit to pay homage.
That train board was a bit of a stretch though.

I believe there was a reference to "The Quick and the Dead" made during the stand off with Cad Bane and Boba. "Still faster than you." despite it being a reversal of the Gene Hackman and Russell Crowe's roles.

I see so many people complaining about The Book of Boba Fett, but come on. I know it isn't perfect and many would agree that its not as good as The Mandalorian, but at least there was legitimate character development and a decent level of grit, not to mention more legends stuff being introduced into canon. Yeah, it can be goofy at times, but Star Wars has always had some level of goofiness to it. The original trilogy was very light hearted in comparison to much of the more modern Star Wars media, which I think people often forget.
At the very least, in my opinion, The Book of Boba is a step up from the Sequels.
