I think it’s more of a blue. I bought a different colourway from Gnomon and they made a mistake and sent me the grey/ blue. I think it’s the best mistake that’s happened to me. Fate. Would have bought it from Long Island but it makes more sense in Australia to buy from somewhere closer.
@@dogsarebetterproductions so you’d say its more blue grey the green grey? id prefer grreenish grey. its a stunning watch but im looking for a greenish watch
That modern blue looks like TARDIS blue. That vintage gray is a stunner. Overall looks like a better proportioned alternative to Seiko's 62MAS re-creation.
I just purchased the Montauk Squale to add to my collection and like the way it wears on my wrist. Thank you for the ten percent discount you are offering.
Dive watches don’t usually do anything for me but that sunburst grey one is lovely. Great sizing too. The images on Squale’s website don’t do it justice.
Another great midsized diver from a great company. If I was in the market now, I'd have trouble choosing between this, the Squale Sub-39, and the new Squale 1545.
Vintage Style Grey is awesome and the modern style blue is sweet these are some great offerings! Love love that they are no date watches to keep them symmetrical and clean, great case/lug size! squale who usually doesn't fit my personal taste has killed it with this release! 👍👍👍
4:25 that looks gorgeous. It keeps looking gorgeous for quite some time. Leather doesn't seem appropriate for a diver? But perhaps there's some protection there. This is just a beautiful watch though, maybe it's your lighting setup which brings out all the pretty bits. It looks awesome.
Have to say, I'm really crushing on the vintage gray dial version. I think it's a swing and a miss to put out a watch with these dimensions and not include a smaller leather strap. I might wait for the bracelet version to hit the shelves.
You made my day with the news that you will be doing a blue-dial Day-T. I have been hoping you would restock the original blue Mitchel, as I never got to grab one when they were available, but this sounds like it will be as good or better. Looking forward to seeing it!
Marc, is there any chance you might "frame" the Day-T windows similar to the way the date window is framed on the original Mitchels? I think that would make it look even more finished. Either way, I like them.
Dear Mark, may I advise about small business idea. Bracelet for Squale 1521 50 Atmos. It's definitely one of biggest selling model from Squale and none offering bracelet for it. Islander offering bracelet for Citizen dive watch which is really nice move. Why not to offer something for Squale lovers. I love my 1521 polished Squale and it's fine with brown leather but it's screaming: "I'm dive watch and need bracelet option" 😁
Marc, did you mention the bezel? I may have missed it. I am assuming 120-click, with aluminum insert on the RLBL and RLBK. Very desirable and affordable alternatives to the BB58.
@@martinhoecherl1457 hmm he didnt mention the fact that the bezel was overhanging, but i cant imagine it being more than 1mm than the diameter, otherwise the chance of popping off. I would safely say the bezel is no bigger than 39mm
I would call that color Pewter and it is gorgeous. However, I've got the Squale "Coke" bezel GMT in my cart for my wife to buy me for Christmas. Can't get both much to my chagrin.....
@@islandwatch please note 19mm instead 😂 The 1:2 ratio should nearly always be the norm. Better to have less strap choices with perfect dimensions than a lot ending with slightly off proportions.
Is that a working Stirling engine? If so, what are the reactants fueling it? Former submariner here who would love to see a video about that (and the geochron). Good looking Squale's too!
I am going to throw a curve ball just for fun.If the watches you sell are so good then why do you own Rolex .Are they genuinley far more superior or just a rip off?The GS springdrive is the obvious exception because they are masters.
Way to small for me on an 8.5-inch wrist they just look rediculous on me, but its a nice watch. I'm not sure about that blue/grey colour though. Thanks
love seeing more and more 38mm divers. These are gorgeous.
Glad you like them!
Between this, the revised 1545, and the new Montauks, Squale has been killing it this year.
Squale has become one of my favorite brands.
Another gorgeous exhibit!
Thanks, Marco!
You are welcome!
Gray is killer. "You must buy" go the voices in my head.
You MUST!

Wow that silver dial one is beautiful! Impressive for sure!
Thanks for checking it out!
Holy Moly! That vintage grey is fantastic!! 😍
Right when I thought I had my end of year watch purchase figured out, here comes Marc and the Super Squale.
That modern blue looks like TARDIS blue. That vintage gray is a stunner. Overall looks like a better proportioned alternative to Seiko's 62MAS re-creation.
That blue dial Mitchel looks awesome!
Thanks, sure does!
Ok, so the gray one..my God! Thank You Squale!!!
You're welcome!!
I had/have some vintage super squales from the 60s, very cool reissue. I wish Squale would reassure more of their vintage models like the Master etc.
I just purchased the Montauk Squale to add to my collection and like the way it wears on my wrist. Thank you for the ten percent discount you are offering.
This is the best Squale so far for me. That sunburst grey looks fantastic 🤌🤌🤌

Indeed! It’s a favorite.
Bought this watch from Mark last week (the vintage black dial) and I'm loving it. I can't think of a better vintage style skindiver.
Just got my black dial Montauk in and couldn’t be happier! It’s a fantastic watch!!!
Another great midsized diver from a great company. If I was in the market now, I'd have trouble choosing between this, the Squale Sub-39, and the new Squale 1545.
That grey dial is flipping HOT. The winner of the bunch for sure.
I've never seen that shade of grey before. Amazing
It is!!
That's a beautiful timepiece in matte blue.
I think so too!
Those look great! Fantastic size too! Excellent review!

Nice watch!!! A billion extra awesome points to you for knowing it was the analemma.
Haha! The Geochron rules!
That blue one!❤️
Beauty!
Wow! I love Squale!! I need that gray one!!

just picked up the Blue Mitchel Day-T. I love it!
The dimensions sound great, hope the bracelet version is available soon.

Those are outstanding, esp the grey 🔥
Finally, my size and style. Great new release! Thanks for sharing Marc. Best regards from "Sinn"-City Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Hello!
The gray or the blue are the stars of the show I think. But that blue Islander field watch is a real beauty !
Thanks Steve.
is there an app for the day light chart you show at dtart of video?
That piece is sweet!
It sure is!
Thank you Sir.
When are the bracelet versions suppose to hit the shelf Mark? Thanks for the review
The gray looks great. Any recommended straps for smaller wrists?
what kinda map is that one? Looks pretty cool to me
Freakin' beautiful! If only I didn't already have three Squales...
When will the gray dial be back in stock?
I might have to add this to my collection. Still enjoying the 1521-026 I bought off you guys!
Great watch, thanks.
So many good choices
Indeed.
Would love to see that grey one on a bracelet. Beads of rice?
Does the bezel rotate? Seriously considering the blue.

the crown does not have a Date position. Has the movement nevertheless the Date inside it ?
Ceramic bezel? Strap measurements? 19mm?
Will the brown dial eventually be available in the US?
Marc, did you mention the bezel? I may have missed it. I am assuming 120-click, with aluminum insert on the RLBL and RLBK. Very desirable and affordable alternatives to the BB58.
Really nice but unfortunately im never a fan of 18mm lug to lug dimensions. If only these were 39mm and 20mm lug to lug, would be absolutely perfect.
The proportions work.
I like the behind the scenes up close.
:)
Quite like the grey dial steel bezel SuperSquale.
Thanks Jean!
Beautiful piece. C'mon Marc you gotta include the "gulf" islander on black Friday. I've been stalking it since it came out
😂 every watch has a story!
Bezel action?
Spot on
Which Is the best for u? Maybe i eant the Blue One. I really want It.
Luv Squale!
Squale is such a super brand, so Super Squale makes good sense 👏 😅
These are stunners.
Damn... I'm thinking Artem sailcloth on the gray dial but Artem doesn't make an 18mm.
Awesome watches, can you tell me the diametre of the bezel and the case?

It's weird, but to my eye, the 'modern' dial looks more vintage. Because of the printed markers.
Lume at the numerals: 12, 31, 6 & 19..

Will it be available on ETA instead of Sellita?
Not likely. ETA being hoarded by Swatch group for their own watches.
Nope.
@@islandwatch yikes
No interest in this for me as my SW200 work as good as my ETA.
Plus, in my experience, SW200 provide a better winding feeling.
