The nerve of some of these people. It's awful... They truly fit the definition of "degenerate". Sad to say and maybe not even worth the rant honestly. Sorry you have to deal with this TGV. Will definitely do my part if put in the position to do so.
As infuriating as this fraud is, it shows that your Name and reputation carries tremendous weight within the watch “community” and speaks volumes about how appreciated and influential you are. No one with even a passing familiarity with you or the channel would think for a second that you would be involved with shady dealings. Onward and upward good sir!!
I noticed this phishing lowlife on almost all big watch channels, once I provide a comment this crap comes up to ask me to contact them very very sick and UA-cam does not do anything once we report them, something has to be done before comment section gets infested with those evil vermins.
I have owned my blue, polished case, 1521 for 3 months now, mainly due to your recommendations. ABSOLUTELY love it and can’t see that changing any time soon. Always gets complimented ! Many thanks TGV, onward and upward.
I'm Polish myself, my girlfriend is French and her mum is Italian born in France and I know from them that French won't pronouce "e" at the end of "Squale" word, but Italians and rest of world will do so. I'm glad that finally there is someone else who claims the same. Love Squale!
I really like when you take your watch reviews outside. It just enhances the watches you are highlighting and gives an added dimension and context to your content. Well done sir!
I'm totally addicted to your channel, TGV. My happy place. Just ordered my first Squale and I can't wait for it to get here. In no small part to you, my UA-cam friend.
I’m so happy to see the COSC version!!! Beautiful work on another great video. I’m really considering the COSC version to add to my collection-I think it would be a great addition along with my BB58 blue. Love the Italian heritage too. Thanks again TGV! All the best
Thanks TGV, this was more than just a watch review, as you provided lots of background and history of the brand. This was a beautifully shot presentation in all areas, and for that I say thanks. Cheers.
Watching your presentations over a year ago regarding the 1521 Squale blue actually made me source and buy one with the Milanese chain Mail strap. I love it and continue to. No other watch I’ve owned has ever looked so dazzling whilst wearing it especially on a sunny day. It is classy all the same and draws many positive comments from people who’ve never heard of the brand. I cannot think of any other watch that has such a beautiful coloured facia as the 1521 Blu. Thank you for your introduction to Squale.
TGV, just wanted to drop a note of thanks for all you do-and for staying your course in the content you create as you share your knowledge and enthusiasm for watches with the UA-cam world. I've been a viewer since your first videos and have appreciated how you tell your stories as you've evolved-and to see you continue to evolve in your own style as other UA-camr's have come on scene to share their own journey. You've influenced my early days of exploration into this hobby. With your inclusive approach for others to explore and enjoy, I've found my own voice in what I enjoy. Thanks for you continuing to tell the quality stories in your own style. I still enjoy your videos as much today as I did in the early days. Saluti! 🥂
That blue! Holy moly that is a thing of beauty particularly with the orange, the polished stainless steel, the glass. Thanks for sharing and well done Squale.
Thanks for an excellent, beautifully produced video that updated me with Squale. I am wearing my 1521 this week, so the timing is perfect. I've had it for just over 4 yrs and bought it based mainly on your video a few years ago which has survived at least 3 purges of my collection. I consider it one of the best-looking pieces in my collection, it's a permanent part. Thank you for being a major influence in my early years of this hobby; your guidance was invaluable in helping shape my tastes and adding significantly to my knowledge.
Thank you, I would love to do more. I have something line up for July hopefully. Is there any particular subject you would like to see? Best regards, TGV
I got 3 Squales because of you.... and they are my most favourite and treasured watches. I'll echo others to say thank you for introducing me to these gems....
Awesome feature on the brand. They continue to surprise me - so many fresh ideas even after all these decades. Your episodes on the waterfront in Philly always leave me itching for a trip down.
Thank you TGV for such an amazing Squale watch 2022 review!! I never realized to what extent Squale watches were important to horology! Thank you so much for expanding my knowledge about watches and horology!! You have made me love Squale watches today more then ever to the extent were I’m considering to buy one! Stay healthy and well as always!! (Nicholas L)
Before I got into watches, there were a few brands I knew of, Rolex, Tag Heuer from F1, Omega from James Bond, Casio the watch I grew up with, Accurist the sponsor of the speaking clock, Tissot the watch that all the older generations of my family had (They must have made good yet affordable Swiss made retirement, or mile stone gift watches) and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, the poster watch from my Scuba diving days as a teenager, it's the watch everyone wanted at my Scuba and swimming club. The Squale 1521 is the closest thing I can get to owning a Blancpain (To this day, I believe is the best looking watch ever made, along with the Rolex Explorer 1016), as the case is near identical, as they made the cases for Blancpain.
Thank you TGV, for introducing me to this awesome brand! I started getting interested in mechanical watches about ten months ago, I watched countless videos and looked at many different models and brands while looking for my first watch purchase. But still couldn't decide lol. Square made me very intrigued, I love their fresh yet restraint designs, their technology, and their brand's independence and history.
Meraviglioso documentario.
When i got into watches in 2019 i soon discovered your channel and so it is completely your 'fault' that i am now a proud owner of a blue polished 1521. Thanks a lot for that! 👍 It wasn't until i discovered the Maraton GSAR that i had any watch to seriously compete the 1521. With these two babies in the collection i could call it a day and stop looking for other divers but thanks again to you, Jody, Russell, Adrian and , yes, Teddy B. i'm constantly sinking deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole that is watch enthusiasm and it's one of the best hobbies to have. Thanks again!
I gotta say TGV - I really enjoyed this video. Thank you. I’m so pleased to be seeing more coverage of Squale and no one delivers it with the passion that you do. I wore my matte 1521 with black dial proudly whilst watching this video. That carbon version is awesome. I still don’t understand the lack of awareness around these watches. In a way it’s nice that they aren’t utterly destroyed by the hype of this very unusual world but I feel they deserve so much more recognition. Fantastic content and thank you once again.
All absolutely fabulous watches. Will definitely be trading up from the PVD 1521 to the COSC version when they eventually start appearing on the UK market.
I have watched this video a couple of times now. I have always adored the 1521 Polished in Blue. Pretty much since the first time I saw it on your channel. Mark has finally gotten my money, I agree with you that it won't stay 900 for much longer and it's such a gorgeous time piece. Time for some fun at the Pool this summer 😎
Excellent vid. TGV - I own one of the TGV Ltd. Ed 100 pieces and waiting for the bracelet to arrive that is used for the 39 series. Squale are brilliant in every way. A balance of history and utilitarian of a genuine trusted Watch House with plenty of charm. I hope they continue to go from strength to strength with you being a great ambassador for them.
Squale is by far my favorite dive watch maker. They have such a rich history. I sold my 1521 and I have been trying to hold back replacing it until the COSC version came along. Looks like I might be adding one soon!
You will not regret it. My favorite now. Lume is seriously superior to the others in the video. A friend of mine saw it at a theater and said it glowed like the sun.
Bezel screws are ONLY for removing the bezel, per Long Island Watches if you attempt to tighten these screws the screw head will snap off. Also it's ingot not ignot. Thanks for an awesome video. I just bought my first 1521 no date militaire.
These videos are like pocket documentaries, delivered with such obvious respect and passion - you're like the Attenborough of the watch world. I've had my polished Azure 1521 for about 3-4 years now - bought largely as a result of watching your content - and I'll never sell it. I think it's only real competition at around this price is Christopher Ward, sans history of course. For those on the fence: TGV is probably right about the prices; they cant last unfortunately, especially now. Also, dont be put off by the size especially the lug-lug as the curved case conforms to the wrist and gives the impression of something closer to 40mm. My only negative advice would be: get it on the leather strap. I paid a bit more for the mesh bracelet version which is sized using removable bracelet sections rather than with a sliding clasp. In my experience the joins in the bracelet pinched badly while on the wrist turning the watch into a very effective if painful depilatory device 🙂. I wear mine on a handmade leather strap or an orange fkm tropic strap. Thanks again TGV and take care.
Fantastic video , i didnt know squale had that much history , the black pain you owned loooked amaaaaazing , that new marina militare is pure class , i want one sooo bad , saluti da firenze
Magnificently presented and narrated ! Professionally polished video accomplishing multiple purposes including getting me to look into the purchase of that Marina Militaria ! Bravo sir 🍻
You just nail it again and again. Enjoyed this video on the big screen. Think Squale are already planning the COSC azzuro, dont they? Would ne an absolute homerun. Thinking about buying the standard azzuro, but then I see them coming out with the cost two weeks later. ^^ Thanks, TGV!
My Ocean Blasted 1521 on the vintage leather strap was due to get some wrist time this week, that was until the purchase of the Seiko Tuna S23635J1 this weekend. It'll have to wait a few weeks now. Another great video TGV, thank you.
Love that you did this on the Olympia, also rich with history! When I was there, because I was a Machinists Mate in the Navy, they took me down into the Engine Room, which was an awesome thing to see! I hope you found your way on to the Becuna as well while you were there!
Thank you Jason, love the Becuna, unfortunately it was closed at the moment, but I film my last Squall video there 2 or more years ago. Amazing place indeed. Best regards, TGV
Thank you Robert, great to hear from you and also that you appreciate this place too. I love going for walks there, there's something very special about Penn's landing I can't quite explain. Best regards, TGV
I bought the 1521 in blue polished about 4 years ago and I loved it ever since. I'm wearing it on a shark mesh bracelet right now. It's the watch that gets the absolute most compliments. Shiny gets compliments
All I could think was how much I wanted to see the COSC in that beautiful blue and I was so happy when you said the same. I'm going to have to start putting some money away now just in case.
5yrs ago I chickened out of a Squale for a quartz Marinemaster professional 300. Wonderful to see the brand evolving slowly but surely. IMHO, nobody does a retro diver better! Might just go for it in fact. Thanks for keeping us up to date with this wonderful brand.
Very nice review, TGV, I really enjoyed that. I may have an occasion watch to purchase soon and I've been wrestling with what to get. I'd love a Fortis, but I think that a Squale may be in my future!
funny you made a new 1521 video. i never pulled the trigger on a sunburst 1521 and wore a GS and gshock the last years but considering the 1521 to mix it up a bit now, great looking and value
For my 1st Squale I had to go for the New 1521 COSC with applied markers. I cant wait to receive this new watch in the coming weeks as I ordered direct from Squale. Been a Doxa fan for years so excited to add this diver to my collection!
Thanks for making this video!! The Bund bezel special edition militare edition is sold out everywhere lol. This video sparked my itch so batch I was able to track down a Blue Matic 60 ATMOS and buy it!! Looking forward to seeing that double Squale logo!!!
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww You infected and converted me to the church of Squale! I follow you since the very first squale review 8 years ago. And you still do amazing handout of this brand, its amazing watches, and incredible heritage !!!
I haved owned the Squale 2002 101ATM model for over 5 years and it's a fantastic watch with serious professional-level diving capabilities such as the push-down bezel and double compression ring sealing the crystal. It's also extremely accurate and consistent.
You know what micro brand really caught my eye Serica. Beautiful 39mm case size and a true no date Soprod Newton movement for $1,200. Great video as always pizan
Oh dear another purchase coming! That blue will be a great partner to my green captain cook, the Mrs won't be loving the dent in bank account tho.. cheers mate great video as always
Ah mate I'm down to 2 options on the squale and posted them on Instagram, be amazing if you could check them out I'm #watchseaside I follow urself, a cheeky like on either the full lume or militair would mean the world and wallet at the ready!
It would be cool if you did another Squale vs Glycine comparison. Glycine Combat Sub prices have gone down significantly since Invicta, and they supposedly have maintained the same quality.
I just picked up the black dialed with polished case 1521 and I'm very impressed with the quality and almost chronometer accuracy being 24 hours off the DHL truck and I love the history of the watch design.

I agree completely. I also have my own Squale 1521 now, black dial, I am in love with it.

Bought my first Squale thanks to this channel. A blue 1521 on a mesh. Greetings from Sweden, great intro as always. Thanks TGV.
If you see this, I would love to see more style/ sartorial videos. I absolutely love your videos, keep up the great work.
Thank you, I would love to do more. I have something line up for July hopefully.
Is there any particular subject you would like to see?

A great video as usual and while Squale are not on my radar screen this review does them a great service!
Bought a 1521 COSC and I love it. And just pulled trigger on the MM.
Great video TGV, I been looking forward to your Squale episode for ages. Hope all is well with you.
The 1521 is an absolutely gorgeous piece, I envision myself enjoying a hot summers day at the beach with that beauty on. Fantastic Video TGV!
My thoughts... it's wonderful isn't it? Perfectly embodies summer. 👌🏻
Just spend the day on the beach with mine. 10/10 would recommend haha
Still love that fantastic blue Squale 1521! I just can't spend the $1k...at least for now! Great vid, TGV!

Nice one TGV, professional and informative as always. All fab watches but for me Nothing comes near to that blue…. Love it.
Very nice history segment to introduce Squale. Great! Love it. Thanks!

Can't wait to get my 50 Atmos, that blue is stunning, love the history and your content on them.
🙏🙏🙏 Thank you,
Best regards,

That COSC is really speaking to me visually.
Great video. I've been thinking about buying the azure 1520 since I saw your last video on it. Finally pulled the trigger on the Long Island site.
Such an enjoyable video, layout is supreme - well done! And congrats on the Carbon!
I have watched this video a couple of times now. I have always adored the 1521 Polished in Blue. Pretty much since the first time I saw it on your channel.

Never would have expected such a unique aesthetic and music choice to work for watch reviews but it REALLY does
Thank you for your Videos. Always cheers me up when I see a new one. Makes the days just that little bit more perfect.
Greetings from Germany
Thank you so much Mathias, hearing that has in turn made my day!
Best regards,
TGV
Love the shots of Philadelphia that appear on some of your videos. Adds an extra element to show these watches in the world.
Great review, as usual! The only brand that comes to my mind that is able to go head-to-head with Squale is Yema.
The intro music is incredible!
Great episode, bravo! I love my Squale 1521 azzurro. No dial is as vibrant as this watch. Forza Squale!
Squale is by far my favorite dive watch maker. They have such a rich history. I sold my 1521 and I have been trying to hold back replacing it until the COSC version came along. Looks like I might be adding one soon!
Thank you Steve, glad to hear it! 👏👏

Wake up to a cup of tea and a new TGV video, pure class.
Brilliant. That blue is truly stunning. Another fabulous video TGV 😊
Bezel screws are ONLY for removing the bezel, per Long Island Watches if you attempt to tighten these screws the screw head will snap off. Also it's ingot not ignot. Thanks for an awesome video. I just bought my first 1521 no date militaire.
Appreciate the killer intro track. Exquisite taste in music, no less than that of your watches.👍
Great way to start the week!
Thank you Javi, have a good one!
Best regards,

I love my COSC Squale 1521. I was able to get one directly from Squale about 2 months ago and find it on my wrist at least 2-3 times per week.
Absolutely love my Squale gmt! A great piece I’ve worn the heck out of, love the video and content lately!!
In the gym here TGV in ol Blighty. Top video! 🦖
I'm a simple man, I see a new TGV upload and I like video
Keep up the great work, always enjoy your vids!
Love the cosc version 👏 Grande come sempre!
The best watch channel in the world. Never missed a video I learned a lot.
That makes it all worth it, thank you Nikolay!

Always loved the look and quality squale watches give you definitely thinking about which one to purchase thank you for the great video
Comprehensive and engaging review. Grazie!
My Ocean Blasted 1521 on the vintage leather strap was due to get some wrist time this week, that was until the purchase of the Seiko Tuna S23635J1 this weekend. It'll have to wait a few weeks now. Another great video TGV, thank you.
Love your attention to detail, specially that you always focus on the history. Thank you ❤️
Great video, of a great brand, thank you! I really liked the "Bondian" kind of tunes at the beginning. :D
I love it when you take the watches out on a field trip. That Blue!
Great intro, always wanted one of these even though I've an omega PO as my daily.
Thank you, a PO and a Squale, now that sounds like a pure class combo.
Best regards,
TGV
Love that you did this on the Olympia, also rich with history! When I was there, because I was a Machinists Mate in the Navy, they took me down into the Engine Room, which was an awesome thing to see! I hope you found your way on to the Becuna as well while you were there!
Thank you Jason, love the Becuna, unfortunately it was closed at the moment, but I film my last Squall video there 2 or more years ago. Amazing place indeed.
Best regards,

Beautiful! That sunburst still looks amazing. 😍
Squale is a great brand that you got me into after watching your videos. I got one in 2020 and I love it!! Keep up these great videos!!
Thank you so much and so glad to hear that, it inspires me tremendously. Here's to many more years of enjoyment for you! 😎🥂
Best regards,

Great video and wonderful looking watches....
It is good to see you using my favorite place in Philly to highlight Squale watches.
Thank you Robert, great to hear from you and also that you appreciate this place too. I love going for walks there, there's something very special about Penn's landing I can't quite explain.
Best regards,

I bought the 1521 in blue polished about 4 years ago and I loved it ever since. I'm wearing it on a shark mesh bracelet right now. It's the watch that gets the absolute most compliments. Shiny gets compliments
Thanks Urban, I have the 1521 blue dial on order, thanks to your squale videos,
You are very welcome, thank you for the comment. Enjoy and congrats your 1521!
Best regards,

All I could think was how much I wanted to see the COSC in that beautiful blue and I was so happy when you said the same. I'm going to have to start putting some money away now just in case.
Thank you Rusty 🤞🤞🤞 Lets hope it becomes a reality.

5yrs ago I chickened out of a Squale for a quartz Marinemaster professional 300. Wonderful to see the brand evolving slowly but surely. IMHO, nobody does a retro diver better! Might just go for it in fact. Thanks for keeping us up to date with this wonderful brand.
Tuna?
@@trongnghiachu1977 yep. Bombproof that thing. It's no desk diver with me.
Blue and green should never be seen ? But honestly that combo looked cool my friend.
Never owned a Squale. Always been on the fence. Looking forward to this vid to see if it topples me over into buying one.
Thank you Nick, I hope this helps, enjoy!

Loving that intro music!
You know what micro brand really caught my eye Serica. Beautiful 39mm case size and a true no date Soprod Newton movement for $1,200. Great video as always pizan
I have never heard of them thank you LWM, I will check them out ASAP.
Grazie fratello!

Great little video thank you, as for the watch very nice I still prefer the blue.
Awesome informative video once again! Still planning on getting a Squale at some point!
👏👏 Thank you, I hope you do too, so much fun.
Best regards,
TGV
Great Video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Well Done Tristano 👍🏻🔝
I just picked up the black dialed with polished case 1521 and I'm very impressed with the quality and almost chronometer accuracy being 24 hours off the DHL truck and I love the history of the watch design.
the "Azzurro" is absolutely stunning!!
Love the dive into Squale history! What is the music at the start of the piece?
You finally did it! I just pulled the trigger on the blue!
Superb review. I purchased the T-183 from Island and the Forged Carbon is now at the top of my list. 😊
How is it!?! I’m “this” close to pull the trigger
I love this video. The music, the visuals, the well written script. Feels like I’m being briefed on how to assassinate van buren.
Fantastic watches well presented.
Great looking watches, maybe one day i buy one ;)
Nice review.
PS The orange color is the best color to be seen in depth ;)
I’ve watched a few of your videos and I think you’ve got me hooked on Squale now - prior to this I was Rolex and AP 👍
