Hi! 1st - great videos! I have E60 with N52, but still see those errors sometimes. Could it bee a vacuum/air leak? I'm asking, because N52 has valvtronic and don't have vacuum in the manifold. Also the problem is very rare.

For my 2006 x3. After spending a week trying to replace a lot of things that looked like they were already replaced on this used car. I Put the car up on a lift and found that the rear main seal is leaking oil and while it was running watching shorts fuel trims, spray up brake cleaner and you could see the fuel trims Spike from +27 to minus 27. I had also bought a cheap Amazon smoke machine that worked good and I found no smoke leaks.

Well day one drove 30 mins, Car started pouring smoke from the air vents. smoking from the engine I was assuming!! Looked like it was on fire with 3 kids in the car!! turned air off ,got out let sit a while. No codes nothing. Drove back home still no check engine light nothing. Day two, did not use air! drove 45. mins one way them drove 45 mins. Back now check engine light on! Said in white then yellow now red!! system too lean bank one & two P0171& P0174 A bit stressed as day two and this!! This is the nicest car I've had and me and the kiddos are just so upset. As our truck has no air no heat and very hard on Gas!! What do I do?? Going to look at everything you just said!! Say a prayer!!! I cant get another!! it has to work!! Thank you
On my 2004 530i. All the hoses and rubber boots look great no cracks or tearing of any kind. New valve cover gasket and even did a smoke test. No leaks anywhere, but still keep getting the P0171-P0174 code... would a bad massage flow sensor cause it?

Saw u commented about smoke test, Did u do it and did it reveal the problem? I have a 06 325ci and I just got this code this morning. I haven’t taken a deep look to see what’s the issue yet but if u had the same issue and did the smoke test to see where the problem is it’ll save me from a headache. Hope u see this thanks
@@nousername7582 yes if U have a BMW. U need 2 have a smoke test. Its around 100 to 150 $$. But it's worth it bcuz it's going to tell u exactly the PROBLEM. Its saves u tunns of money in the long run
Maybe you can guide me or any advice..03 bmw x5 3.0..code p174 and 171 I narrow the issue to the o2 sensors especially bank 2..barely reading..if I'm going down the hill without hitting the gas. All the o2s will read zero..once I stop only bank 1 will read correctly..
Hey all, I have an issue with a bmw z3 M54 2.2i. It keeps coming up with bank lean codes and misfires. Both banks and single banks, random misfires, but diagnostic says cylinder 5 is troublesome. No obvious vac leaks anywhere... fault has been getting more frequent, although the car hasn’t run much in the last six months... any thoughts??? Thanks.
