Camera views not too bad at all Shaun, if you had a larger screen then I’d say it would interfere, great to be back out on the bike again, same as us, we’re back out now cheers dude😎🍺👍
Vauxhall Capri 🤣🤔 you don't know how many car enthusiasts you have offended 😆, GT Air 2 great lid looks fetching in the silver with dark visor 👍 Switzerland for a week 8th June hoping for a bit of snow but clear Passes.
Yes the weather has been really bad it feels like it's been raining or snowing for the last 4 months 😞 not been out on the bike this year yet and I'm itching to get out on the new Tiger at least I managed to run it in last year 🙂 keep them coming Shaun, definitely looking forward to the Ireland Videos later in the year
Looking forward to your Ireland trip. We've been 4 times now. 1st in 20015 then 16 and winged it both times, just ride and rock up somewhere.... easy and fairly cheap. In 2021 we pre booked as there was a few of us and we knew where we wanted to be. Me and Mrs went last September, anti clockwise from Dublin to Galway then onto Wicklow mountains. It's definitely chanced, yes you can still wing it, but we had to change plans a couple of times as we couldn't get in where we wanted either due to no availability or ridiculous prices!! But still a great trip, and only 1 day of rain 😁👍🏻
I considered winging it, but looking at the hotels, decided to book everything before! I'm sure I'd find something, but some were shocking expensive, plus I'll be there over a bank holiday weekend.
Definitely best you've booked then, that was the time when we had to change plans just to get digs and that was just a normal weekend.we did end up having a great night in Carrick-on-Shannon because of it though. 👍🏻all part of the adventure when winging it. Have a great trip👍🏻
Try the ponderosa caf on the horseshoe pass, heaving with bikes on a sunday. Nice riding around there. Wales is running a lot of 20mph limits. Good for sightseeing i suppose. My trip is the TT. Same time you're in Ireland, you'll have the place to yourself coz the Irish will be on the rock! Trying to do the south of France too. With a bit of luck Nice vid as per 👌
Planning is going well Stuart, thanks for the tip! I've done the TT a few times, although I've got family there and getting a bed for the week isn't an issue, it's just become so busy! These days I prefer to ride my bike rather than watch others do it. The atmosphere is brilliant mind!
The situation did escalate when I turned the cameras off! Nothing that I did mind, seems his Mrs did something to piss him off, and he had a melt down right then and there🤣🤣🤣 Schelcht geschissen
Always a pleasure Shaun. Had a similar ride out around empty Peak District roads yesterday (Tuesday) one of the consolations of being old and retired is that when a lovely day comes along you can just get your gear on and go! Opposite direction for me again this year, south in search of sun, alps and weissbier, probably Germany, Austria, Slovenia, the Dollies and back up again all being well. Love the thought of barnacles on your tash, really made me laugh!
I’ve exactly the same lid, down to the colour. Same reason too, harvesting sales prices. Although I don’t think it beats my neotech. Good to see you out and about.
Looking forward to the Ireland series, we keep eyeing it up as our next big bike trip. We're heading back to north Wales at the end of May. You'll love it there, quiet roads, stunning scenery and friendly people too (in the north of Wales you hear a lot more people speaking Welsh which we really enjoyed listening to).
Nice one, it's been an awful winter here in saaf gb, same as you wind and rain..I'm off to Germany black forest and maybe trips out from there staying pension Williams and a few other places on the route there and back .maybe take in some of the vosges , and a schnitzel or two.. oh and curry worst.. end of June if you about? Cheers 🍻
@thelikeablerider8800 if your bored and want to meet up let me know , I'm on a superduke I have a mate on a rs and another on a mondello guzzi, I love schnitzel and bratwurst. End of June 👌🍻👍
Im also going to Ireland. Ill be doing a complete lap of the coast in August. Before that a few days at the IoM TT and a two week tour down to the Dolomites. Ive got 3 days booked at Mugello but may change that to Jerez. Lets hope 2024 is a good biking year 👍
No snow in south Wales , but we've had loads of salt on the roads and some heavy frost ,no good for riding, and lots of rain for days at a time., some lovely roads up over military ranges Brecon,Sennybridge Stopping off for a Schnitzel , Isn't your toilet working at home 😅 the car looked a bit like a Opel Manta,
You will have a great time in Ireland. North of Galway is great. All good really. Hope you get good weather. I am on the west coast of Ireland. Bike getting shipped to northern Spain end of May so picos and Portugal. So like you am looking forward to the summer. Oslo in July also for 2 weeks in Norway.thanks for the vids
ANOTHER lid - lol - TART! :p ;) :D Nice to see you out Shaun, and at the exact same moment as I was doing over here, with almost the exact same conditions (perilous in the shade!!!! (ask me how I know? ;) :( )). So, we're not going to see the "Satsuma Man" leathers on this biker ever then? ;) (got on, I dare you... I DOUBLE DARE you!!!! ;) :p :D :D ) The dry Germans roads were deffo WAY cleaner than the UK ones at the same time, though...!! :( :(
@@thelikeablerider8800 I did - not sure if it was cold tyres (2nd roundabout from the house, 5 mins out), or the 2nd half of that roundabout was in the shade, or both (probably). Half way round (I didn't think I was *that* banked, nor pushing, I properly lost the front but managed to hang onto it by not shutting the throttle, and just kept it upright, but swapped a whole lane in the process of saving it... good thing I had the spare room!!!
Good to see you out, we had a nice day Sunday so it was Allendale and Teesdale for me, still cold but no frost. Done the WAW from Belfast to Tralee then back across country, great trip but the roads are not fast. I booked as I went along and had no issues pre Covid including no rain! I’m doing Wales this year, probably September👍
@@thelikeablerider8800 Make sure you check out the cliffs at Slieve Teague, it’s a great trip and the craic is awesome, the first leg down the Antrim coast is just a taster👍.
Looked very similar to the Ford Taurus, my uncle had one in pretty much the same colour. Broadly equivalent to the Cortina at the time but lightyears better in terms of trim etc. over here in dystopian Britain of the 70s
Don't go straight across Anglesey do the coast roads not much time difference but well worth it, I've been to Ireland a few times and winged it every time not a problem but do book the Leenane hotel definitely worth a stay I would also recommend doing the Northern Ireland coast road and if you want a guided tour of North Wales I can help you out or send you some of the best roads to do.
Hi haven’t you gotten the software update on the suspension yet so you can drop the suspension when coming to a stop I know it’s manual but it bound to help 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ Will get mine done on it’s next service
Yeah mine had it from when I bought it, but not sure I like it. It doesn't return to normal height untill I get up to 50kph which I suppose is a good thing, otherwise the thing would be constantly changing. Makes you wonder over time if it would go wrong (grandad speaking) 🤣🤣
When’s your return Ferry from Hull ? We leave on the 12th June for our usual euro trip. PS digging the new musical theme overlay! You been jamming with AMC ???😂
How do you get on with the GT Air chin strap, I’m such a Luddite I’m struggling to move away from DD chin straps. I would turn right when you leave Dublin up to Belfast and start rinding the Antrim coast and maybe spend your first night in Ballycastle. Then follow the coast road to Giants Causeway, onto Donegal then down the west coast ( Wild Atlantic Way ) then when you get to Cork come up the centre of the country back to Dublin. Very advisable to book accommodation in advance as about 30% of Irish hotel rooms are used by immigrants, so there is a supply and demand issue pushing up prices
Camera views not too bad at all Shaun, if you had a larger screen then I’d say it would interfere, great to be back out on the bike again, same as us, we’re back out now cheers dude😎🍺👍
It didn't end up being too bad, but still waiting on my mounts to arrive so it'll need another look.

Was a shot in the dark!🤣🤣 I realised my grave mistake while editing, didn't some guy called Ford make them?🙄

Yes hasn't this winter been an awful state of affairs, not much riding got done at all! Looking forward to Ireland though🤘😎

I had to Google it😆😆

The downside to touring Ireland of course is the fact there are just too many pubs. I hope that doesn't ruin your trip.
Yes that is a concern, would you suggest cancelling!?

Never had an issue with the chin straps myself. Thanks for the tips for the trip, I'll bear that in mind👍😜
3:02 OCD? You mean CDO, in order, as it should be
😜
Who ever it was whispering in my ear to buy a new one😜
where's that tall windscreen??
That went on day one👍😜
Still too cold for me and way too much salt on the road for the bike.
Had to rinse the bike off after this ride, still a bit of salt left over🙄🙄
I’m sure it was a slip of the tongue, but please, in the future, please don’t include Ireland in the UK. Thank you
Sorry about that👍😜
It's not intentional - he calls Welsh men "English" too, upsets one Mr Mike Griffiths no end... ;) :) :D
