Solo European Motorcycle Tour 2024 - The Eagle's Nest

- A day out on the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Explorer to see the Eagle's Nest, Kehlsteinhaus near the town of Berchtesgaden.
While motorcycle camping through Europe, and while in Germany it's good to have a tourist day and visit some sites.
Staying two nights at the campsite, I can travel on the motorcycle without the tent and luggage. After visiting the Eagle's Nest, I travelled to Lake Königssee, to spend the day on the lake.

@@sweebeyh4327 yes, I was keen to visit this part of the world and the scenery was spectacular.
As for the Tiger 1200, for sure, it is comfortable and practical for touring.
My last big tour was Norway back in 2018, and that was on my old Thunderbird Nightstorm 1700.
Great motorcycle, but you do start to feel the aches after a full day in the saddle.

@@AManAstray I have the Tiger 900 gt pro at the moment but after test riding the 1200 explorer I am going to trade up in the spring. Really impressed me.
@@sweebeyh4327 the 1200 is bigger (obviously) but the extra features on the Explorer range compared to the Pro is worth it.
I used to rubbish heated grips and seats, but I take back everything I said
On stelvio, Furka and Grimsel Pass where it was snowing a little, the heated grips helped.
The blind spot radar in Europe also came in useful.
