*Self-defense and self-extraction from civil unrest events* --- because we can never know ahead of time when nationwide riots will break out. I’ve read the fine print of my USCCA liability insurance, and you’re correct. If criminal charges are brought against you, they will cancel your policy. I will not be renewing my coverage with USCCA. Thank you for the valuable information that you shared.
Look at the recent FL vs Reeves incident. Reeves a retired Tampa FL police captain & Sea World security manager had a lethal force event in a Wesley Chapel FL movie theater. That court trial took 8, eight 😲 + years to resolve. Reeves was found not guilty. The SAO & media groused over the 🍿 murder trial. It irks me as a FL tax payer how LE & court SAO staff made this case go 8yr for nothing, zero!
It's the nature of government. 262,000,000 democide deaths in the 20th century (not military casualties). Government is the biggest homicidal threat to a human. The U.S. government is supposed to support a "fair" trial; fair by _their_ definition. No way is having a limitless budget against the accused and some poorly paid public defender fair. And the judge is an employee of government who, despite a clear conflict of interest, is expected to be fair and/or impartial. You're right. It's so sad, it's laughable. My pet theory is that normies have brainwashed themselves after watching about 30 years of cop/lawyer shows; morality plays disguised as real proceedings. They are shocked when it hits the news that a "good" cop/lawyer has done some morally repulsive stuff. They could have just watched an hour of _Audit the Audit_ and schooled themselves.
@@DavidLLambertmobile It's so sad that the state has a duty to investigate and prosecute suspected murder. Let's you and I carry a note in our wallet that says if we die under suspicious conditions there should be no investigation into our death.

I was a witness to a self defense shooting where the person involved was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill. A very serious charge. I gave my statement to the police and appeared before the magistrate to give my testimony. The person was charged but was released without bail. The charges were later dropped. Had I not been a witness I am sure that person would have most likely been convicted of something and went to prison. Thank you Mas for your service in law enforcement and for sharing your wealth of knowledge. I have learned much and you have reenforce much of my skills and knowledge with these videos.
A wise man once said "dead men tell no tales". If you're forced to use your weapon, make it count. You could still face some bs civil suit by next of Kin but a dead man can't testify. Look at rittenhouse, the one man he didn't actually fatally shoot is the one suing him for millions of dollars. Imagine a government allowing criminals to extort money from someone who defended themselves against them trying to kill em.
Masaad Ayoob looking out for my life and welfare since 1985! Thank you, Mas !!! I attended his Lethal Threat Management seminar at the PCSO range in 1985. He saved my life and career many times over.
"Knowledge is Power" and anything Mr. Ayoob has to offer in the way of information and experience, I'd be LISTENING. Thank You Masy for enlightening us.
The first thing he didn't tell you is that the odds are about 1,000 to 1 that you will never have a covered event in your entire life. The second thing he didn't tell you is that none of these companies have ever paid a claim.
I am a former federal prosecutor and took Mag 40 several years ago and signed up with ACLDN then. It is a first rate organization and a real bargain compared to other "insurance" offerings.
Been with ACLDN for 7 years. From time to time I look at other options but after reading the “fine print” they all come up short. Mas, Marty, Gila and their other associates are no-nonsense, experienced, and provide relevant information in the monthly publication. Certainly worth consideration.
If they were legitimate insurance companies then, based on the amount of money they collect, they should be paying out hundreds of millions per year for bail and lawyers on self-defense claims. Look at the news. That isn't even possible. I can't find any evidence that any of them have ever paid a claim and they certainly don't pay the hundreds of millions that a legit insurance company would pay. The odds are about 1,000 to 1 that you will never have a covered event in your entire life. The average customer will pay for about 75,000 years before they have a claim. There is a reason these plans are illegal in some states.
@@Baseballisbest67 Even if they charged just 25% of the price it would still be vastly overpriced. The average customer will pay for about 75,000 years before they have a claim. If you did have a claim then you would discover the sad truth about what the policies really say.
I joined ACLDN after seeing this video and being in the process of reading "Deadly Force". Our culture keeps changing and as far as I can see not for the better. My overview is Escape and Evade anything I can and not get involved in anyone else's drama. I don't want to spend time in court for any reason. Still, the day may come when all of those options are closed out. Better to have some help if that occurs.
It would be great if in the 2020s era digital age, Ayoob could address more current use of force cases like MN vs Potter 👮🏼♀️, FL vs Reeves, TX vs Guyger, the Chad Read(Texas porch) lethal force case, FL vs Drejka 🗃 etc. Massad Ayoob's insight & remarks would help 1000s.
@@gowilsoncombat It would be very useful & supportive if Massad Ayoob could address the issues of "abandonment" or to ignore a critical incident, violent crime. Also the 2020s era problem of 3rd party or people who inject themselves into disputes or may, be improper actions create a conflict by going into a unknown dispute. 🗣
I went through it in 1997-1998. In my case a PI gathered the evidence we needed to get my case dismissed. Nearly two years of it hanging over my head, over 100k in legal and pi fees.
Excellent video but I need more help. Need a video that really goes over reading the fine print. When I read legal contracts I always arrive at the same conclusion. I'm not educated enough to really understand what the words are saying from a legal system point of view, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to think of all the questions that should be asked.
As I shifted through the solid instruction vs the hype on line, my better judgement steered me toward anything and everything produced or enforced by Mas as well as those that he surrounds himself with. ACLDN was an obvious choice for me when their top brass boasts the Rushmore of my training icons. As a MAG40 student and an ACLDN member I have no doubt the team I'll hopefully never need is my best line of defense.

@@BuddhaKat1 Did you shoot anybody? Then, no claim, so the odds still hold. I have had a few "fend offs," myself. The vast majority of such incidents end with no one being shot. If you had shot someone and then they sued you you would discover the Primary Insurance clause which says that the CCW carrier doesn't even have to show up until your own personal insurance and Uber's insurance have already lost the case and paid policy limits.
@@cliffordschaffer5289, You obviously don't know anything about CCWSafe, the group I belong to. They cover you in any "Use of force", self defense issue. That most definitely includes having to deploy pepper spray. I called the hotline, and they immediately opened a case. In fact, their part has been very comforting. There is nothing in the TOS that says they wont accept my claim for a civil action, only after my personal, or Uber's insurance declines to represent me. Uber wouldn't shell out 10¢ in a civil case against me, and my automotive insurance would throw me under the bus in a microsecond. For the record, CCWSafe does not provide legal services, they just pay for the legal team, court costs, exhibits, private investigators, and expert witnesses. They also put up bail and pay out a very high limit in any civil action.
Thanks Mas, for discussing this confusing issue. I appreciate that you read the comments and have answered my questions placed there. I wish the best for you Sir.
THANK YOU! I never thought anyone of the providers of "Self Defense Insurance" would have so many reasons to NOT follow through with defending you (like if the incident were to take place in a "Gun Free Zone") I'd think a LARGE percentage of Self Defense shootings WOULD BE in a "Gun Free Zone. Am I right?
From what I have found is if you are in a large city you almost always will be in a gun free zone per FEDERAL LAW Take a look at a map of your city and circle where all the schools are. I am not sure but I believe it to be 1000 feet from any school and see what you are looking at. Our government is in a run away mode. Anything about guns.
While what you say is true, higher risk in a gun free zone. But if you are truely a law a ifing citizen you wont carry into a gun free zone. And thats exactly how the prosecution will paint you, as domething other than a law abiding citizen. I personally make sure i know the details of the areas i move around in, and avoid gun free zones, even ifvit means going miles out of my way.
@@robt3305 I live in Alaska and for me to get around some of these gun free zones. I would need either to fly or 4X4 through the bogs. LOL I wish I could agree with you completely. I remember reading a magazine article in the early 1990s by Mas that cited an open-and-shut case of self-defense costing well over $20k in legal defense fees by the time you even get to trial.
That sounds reasonable actually. Remember a reputable law firm will protect your interests and use all their resources and experience to defend you, and accordingly charge for you for it. You're paying for their expertise and ability to connect with other expert sources to ensure a solid case. No case is to ever be taken lightly.
@@zzz-zj7xg I agree, with them they will bail you out I think up to 1million and will spend what it takes to defend you. The others pay for lots of ads but low limits on the funds to defend you, and CCWSAFE lets you pick your lawyer I believe. Best 500 per year I spend for piece of mind.
My biggest issue with CCWSafe is you, in the agreement, give up the right to client - attorney privilege. The lawyer can/will tell CCW Safe everything you say. And the State can subpoena that CCW employee in discovery for information.
I believe this is the WPS video being referenced: ua-cam.com/video/Wilf_R5wlNQ/v-deo.html TL;DW: Andrew recommends USCCA, CCW Safe, and ACLDN. He does a good job highlighting the differences of each one. If you have a good solid legal insurance plan, it may be that a prosecutor's office will drop the case entirely. Prosecutors like to have 'wins', they don't want a long drawn out fight in court. If they see that you have the resources to go to "legal war", they are likely to drop everything if they know they don't have much of a case. The best offense is a good defense. Stay safe, be blessed!
not true, the system is rigged... its why criminals have more rights than your everyday working person. criminals have no assets, no money but the everyday person does. the system feeds off statistics and money. its how lawyers, the state and system make big bucks they dont care about someones due diligence... they care about making as much money as possible whilst spending the tax payers money as possible to promote statistics that are inaccurately appropriate to flood in more victims to the blood gates.
Warrior based on what is going on in the field I don’t believe there’s a “really strong insurance policy “ you can trust. So I am staying with the USCCA because of the training and their motto- the Best fight to be in is to be in no fight. This way you don’t have to rely on any insurance policy unless you have absolutely no choice
I chose the Armed Citizen’s Legal Defense Network. This is because many gun and self defense authorities also chose them. You will receive training about what constitutes a justified self defense.
But they don't represent you if: "I understand that any grant of benefits is limited to lawful acts of self defense with no additional criminal charges (unlawful possession of concealed handgun, for example) associated with the incident."
@@cjd07016 how comprehensive is this? What if I got into a mild altercation (non-shooting) with police when they say they're arresting me...does that, iyo, void contract or does it have to be something more gun /shoot specific?
I think one of the most important takeaways is "read the fine print". Doing so kicks a lot of options to the curb. Question now would be is there a list of CCW 'insurance' plans that do NOT have land mines in their agreements?
CCW Safe is decent in my view, I've been a paid member with added $1mil bail-bond coverage since 2015. I pay $179/year. I'd want the service to have a mobile app or GPS 🛰 system to help expedite a lawyer or legal aid team ASAP. You(the paid member, ccw user) may be hurt or wounded. Physical evidence or data, items may be damaged or tampered with at the scene. By standers, homeless bums, street crazy drug addicts etc. The patrol officers or deputies on scene will not be kind or concerned about your welfare, legal issues.
i've compared all available options, looked at charts, compared coverage vs expense, sent questions to reps of various groups, and i'm still satisfied with USCCA. they cover criminal and civil defense, with no limit on defense expense. they cover appeals. they cover lost wages, expert witness, bail bond, crime scene cleanup, and replacement cost of confiscated firearms. they also have a list of attorneys in my state and i can select the one i prefer, or go with one who they've agreed to respond rapidly to a call regardless of date or time. i've gone thru the fine print and feel confident that if i have not behaved inappropriately, that i have the best coverage available for the cost, and will have the highest likelihood of prevailing in court, should the occasion occur. God help us all. 🙏🇺🇲🙏🌍
You say you did all this research on USCCA but yet you don't know who Kayla Giles is huh? Google her. She was a platinum member of USCCA. USCCA paid for her defense until about halfway through, and then refused to pay out for the last half of her defense. She never pled guilty, and her dues were all paid up. There was obviously no issue, as USCCA paid for the first half of her defense. So clearly something came out in her case, where USCCA themselves made the determination that she was guilty or something along that lines, before she had even been found guilty in a court of law as no ruling had come down yet. Yeah sorry, but I'll hard pass on USCCA since they literally threw one of their highest level members to the wolves in the middle of their defense on a murder charge. Many people have asked USCCA to explain why they chose to do this, and they remain silent and will not give an explanation. If they had a logical reason and defense for doing this, I'm pretty sure they would have explained it to everyone. Instead they've chosen to remain silent. But by all means, enjoy USCCA 👍
@@twoowls4469 Don't forget Kayla Giles who was a platinum member of USCCA, caught a murder charge, USCCA paid for her defense and then half way through, decided to just stop paying for no reason. She is suing them in federal court to this day. USCCA also refused to give anybody a reason as to why they did that. If they had nothing to hide, they would tell everyone why they did it. Instead they just try to sweep it under the rug and refuse to acknowledge it.
After retiring and getting my pension for being a police officer, I have spent the next 16 years training law enforcement and military in 17 countries around the world. Mr. Ayoob, I just want to tell you that long ago, when my kids were learning about firearms I had them read “In the Gravest Extreme” as I had read it and learned a lot. Your ‘tip’ about throwing money one direction and running the other in a mugger situation saved my 18 year old son when he was in a large European city. And your suggestion that a retail store operator not wear a firearm in the store as it forces a robber to shoot you first changed a friend’s behavior in his place of business. Many good ideas and much information are contained in that book. I thank you and still listen to what you have to say.
A lot of very good points to consider and I understand and agree that it's up to us to read the fine print for whichever organization we are considering. But I was also kind of hoping for some recommendations or at least evaluations of some of the different groups. Yes, it's on us to read the fine print and verify exactly what we're signing up for but the reality is it's not always easy for the layman to understand all the legalese. Sometimes we need to turn to those more knowledgeable than ourselves to separate some of the wheat from the chaff.
You can't expect this man who gets paid by a provider of such services to advertise for the competition. You still got to do your own homework. And after you do, please share what you found ; - )
I have read the policy and after reviewing other information in this and other videos posted by those that are in the know, I will cancel my USCCA membership and policy. The policy is written to be used against you.
Thanks Mas. I've been researching "insurance" for a while and had chosen one. Re-reading the fine print on the "reimbursement / recovery" clause and thinking of your analogy of a charge for violating a gun-free zone. I'm leaving them! Going to check into ACLDN. One of my kids and spouse carry in Arizona. I’ve talk to them about getting this type of coverage and they have been reluctant to do it considering it’s not that much money for what you get. Well guess what they’re getting for Christmas! Not just to protect them, but protect my own retirement. If they’re not gonna take the steps to protect themselves and me I will do so. Looking for a great gift idea where you go.
Thank you Wilson Combat. This is the 2nd most important thing in our lives (keeping our freedom + assets)....The 1st is staying alive and well..."It's not about the odds. It's about the stakes"
We need recommendations on companies, because we do not have the expertise to 'read the fine print' like an attorney would. All you have to do to see this is to listen to your video, your knowledge what to look for was gained by years of experience that we do not have. And, I am sure there is even more you did not include in order to keep the video length managable. But thanks, this was eye opening.
I really like this channel! You are very good at what you are doing. I now have watched several of your videos and the information you give is beyond great. I'd don't know how else to describe it . Please keep doing what you are doing so that maybe it may keep someone from doing something that they will regret later. It's a shame that just trying to do the right thing has become so complicated.
100% there are so many great opinions out there! I am stunned when I see and hear comments that you don't need it, apparently they have never been to court for anything in their whole lives!
I worked in the NYC Court system for 32.5 years. Criminal and Civil Divisions. You do not want to face charges alone or have to pay out of pocket. Do your research and get one of the many policies that are available.
I have had CCW Safe for several years and feel that they are comparable. The only limitations that I have noticed is that with them, you can't be drunk or drugged during a self defense encounter and also you are only covered when legally permitted to posses a firearm in the location where the self defense incident occurs.
I agree, read the fine print, and who is endorsing it. In addition, people forget that you may be temporarily imprisoned in the duration of the trial and may lose you job. So where is the income going to come from? Sadly, it will come down to protecting your family and yourself and not being able to help other people's lives and especially in blue cities and states.
Look at the fine print of the insurance based plans like USCCA if you expect them to help you for your criminal defense. That fine print caused me to go with ACLDN instead.
@Cullen Mayes I read a review online that USCCA was rated the best among all the plans. I find it disingenuous that this person did reveal the fine print.
I have coverage through USCCA been with them for years a good group. Hope I never have to use them though but glad I have it. If your gonna carry then have something that covers you. USCCA also does alot of good training aswell. Loved this vid.
I've been with ACLDN for about 5 years. Their idea of educating you on doing the right things to avoid implications is great. Having such great people on their team such as Ayoob does offer more peace of mind to me. They have a nationwide set of lawyers you can have nearby to contact or you can refer to your own. You have to get things correct from the very start. Educate yourself and have a good team to back you. No, I don't want to EVER use such a team but I know life is not always what you want, and I most certainly don't want my loved ones or me to suffer bodily harm because others decided they will or might.
The odds are about 1,000 to 1 that you will never have a covered event in your entire life. @@2fast2block 1) If they actually did, then it would be easy to show it. That isn't even possible. There aren't that many self-defense cases. Ask them yourself. How much did they pay out last year in claims? @@2fast2block They have so few claims that I doubt that they even have a claims department, let alone a "team" to back it up. I spent years in the insurance business so I can spot the difference between a good policy and a complete rip-off.
@@2fast2block To be clear, I have only seen claims of ONE - the Maddox case. If you watch the video and pay attention you will see that Maddox never says they actually did or paid anything. He says they are great people but he never actually explains what they did. My guess is that they didn't pay anything but a fee for him to do the commercial. Furthermore, if Maddox is telling the truth then any first year lawyer should have been able to walk him out of jail the first day. It doesn't sound like an expensive case. Just for fun, let's assume they paid the attorney $35,000 for one week of work. But, even if they did pay Maddox something besides the fee to do the commercial, they would need at least $350,000,000 worth of those cases every year to be legit. They should be able to post at least 10,000 of those videos every year if they were anything close to legit.
I think an important point you forgot to mention is that if the policy is to reimburse your legal fees after you have been acquitted, then it is in the insurance company's best interest to see you guilty as charged. Unless they like giving money away, which I doubt.
The ethical way to do this is for them to review your case and make their own decision if THEY so find it was self-defense and then defend you without exclusions. Juries and judges get it wrong all the time.
Unfortunately, The “cost/benefit analysis “ says that it is not worth it to use your firearm these days. It would absolutely ruin my life to try and come up with 10’s or 100’s of thousands of dollars to defend myself. Yeah I know that the alternative could be I am dead from not using my firearm but I might as well be dead if I had to pay that much money. You didn’t even mention the potential Civil Suit that could be filed against me. It’s demoralizing to think about.
Even the most well intended lawyers will most likely drop you like a hot potato if you start filling Bar grievances against the prosecuting attorney. Attorney's first loyalty is to the bar and their own license to practice
It looks like ACLDN has the same issue as USCCA, "after an assessment that your incident constituted a legitimate act of self defense," It just is in the first paragraph, not hidden. Who is making that assessment? For USCCA, it is the insurance company, not a lawyer.

@Mike Panel I've watched cases where a good guy shoots a bad guy that was shooting random civilians, and the good guy ended up in prison for a while, and when he was out faced over half a million dollars in court and lawyer fees.. how is that justice? This is exactly why good guys let some shootings happen. Our justice system protects the murderers and punishes the good guys, especially in blue states
Thanks for the heads up information! As an aside, it seems to me that if the State can go up against you with virtually unlimited financial resources, groups attorneys and investigators, connections to law enforcement that allow them to sift through evidence you may not have access to, other than in the "discovery" phase where you get to see what harmful things they dug up... but may never see exculpatory evidence they ran across from those same sources, then you get aquitted... the State should cover your legal costs, including time off work. If they don't have to indemnify you, then the State has no reason to worry about bringing unjustified charges against you. It's just wrong! Heck, they could outlaw guns, file suit against every gun owner in America that refuses to comply and drive them to bankruptcy regardless of innocence or the illegality of the gun ban... then just walk away.
If attacked and you have to shoot the attacker, you are the victim. You will become a victim two more times. Once from the state who may charge you with a crime, and lastly you will be sued by the attacker or there family. You become a victim three times.
This is supposed to be a constitutional republic buying insurance like you would on your car for the prospect of possibly having an accident Is not the same as using a firearm you can equate to with your constitutional right to bear arms the whole thing is you’re equating this insurance to having it so that you have to defend yourself you gotta have that help me the lawyer is going to see well why do you think you need insurance if you think you’re gonna have to use a gun justifying your usage I don’t know I think that this is a constitutional republic . and we have a right to defend ourselves we can’t wait for the cops to get there and insurance don’t cover that till after you’re dead and then your wife get your insurance money … I just have to ask the question do cops have insurance to cover them when they shoot someone are they behind the badge that covers the taxpayers dollars that defends him did not leave the door open to suing cops if they make a mistake… liability on both ends but when the cop shows up your house to arrest you because you shot somebody in your house and the truth broke in and they go by what you made the phone call when you dial 911 and what is your emergency sir well I just shot somebody today and they come to your house now you made a covenant with the of the local law enforcement and your subject whatever that is after you told them that they were there to defend you you were there defend yourself I think there’s some standards here I just don’t understand what this insurance thing is now come up over the years… mind you I’ve been watching your shows for years I deeply respect your experience and your knowledge… Just trying to be another helpful American who believes in his constitutional Republic… we don’t need any more rackets we need results and for the guy that shot the guy in the mall did he have insurance when he shot that guy in the mall… he defended other peoples lives when there wasn’t any law-enforcement there…. And there’s another thing I forgot to say you know it’s different when you’re out in the country and the sheriff comes to your house and he knows you and he knows your demeanor and he knows you wouldn’t just shoot somebody arbitrarily or just for whatever reason and you get treated different than you would if you were in the city because the cops are going to arrest you because they don’t know what happened so there’s some double standards here with the insurance and that’s why I came here to say something I probably would’ve never said anything but it just makes sense in Tennessee it’s different where I live you can carry a gun everywhere you go I carry one everywhere I go I don’t care where it is you don’t have to have a concealed weapons permit in your own vehicle carry it in your vehicle or on your person constitutional carry I believe in arms society is a polite society don’t know if I’ve ever heard you say that but I think you have but I think you for your time for reading this and I wanted to comment because we live in a different world today or people are totally against the Second Amendment and looking for any excuse to change those rules to get into the find underlining local laws of our whole states the matter if is democrats or republicans..
Not in AZ. Look up 4-229. If they business has it posted, you shouldn't. In terms of that law you posted, even SCOTUS has interpreted the second amendment such that some regulation can be put on people. You might not like it, but it is the way it is.

I know Mr. Ayoob isn't selling us any company, but kinda wish he could have gone into a bit more detail in what "good" insurance looks like/the kinds of companies to look into apart from that first one he mentioned. Because the biggest take away I got was, even if I'm 100% justified in having to use self defense, sounds like I'm screwed because our legal system is that ridiculous that unless you can pay 100K or more in Lawyers...or become such a national media circus you can get people to pay for you, you're more or less screwed even if you get acquitted
Newbie pistol owner here, currently learning how not to accidently hurt me or someone else. What scares me more than that though, is the power of the state. States are so fearful of gun lobbyists, I won't name the 800 lb. gorilla but, its initials are NRA, that instead of passing reasonable regulation, being necessary to the security of a free State, states pass laws that in all practical terms make a firearm illegal to use, even in a self-defense scenario. I live in a very gun friendly state and that's the case here and from what I've read, it's the same in Texas and Florida too - just for example. The situation is like: Of course you have the right to bear arms, and we'll defend your right to the end of days! Just don't get any idea about actually using that weapon anywhere but a licensed range. So yeah, I'll need insurance because when the state goes after y'all, you're $$crewed without help.
I am a member and never had to use the benefits and hope I never do. After some research I have chosen Armed Citizens because of the way it is set up as members and not a so called insurance policy. Sad that you need insurance to protect you from your own government.

Nearly half the nation are convicted felons for victimless non-violent offenses who are PERMANENTLY and ETERNALLY BANNED from possessing a firearm or even a single bullet, for life! (Self-righteous gun owners shall eventually lose their guns & bullets too!)
FACT: There are more non-violent than violent felons without their God-given gun rights thanks to self-righteous do-gooders! (Non-violent felons can still vote, and abolishing "guns & bullets" from the backstabbing "do-gooders" is exactly how they'll continue to vote, in record millennial numbers, for EQUALITY!)

They sure make defending yourself very difficult (legally), but much easier if you're the perp.
This is what scares me about concealed carry. If you have yo defend yourself you can be the one prosecuted.
better than being dead.
Not can be, will be. Police get every benefit of the doubt, as citizens, we get only the doubt.

If they were legitimate insurance companies then, based on the amount of money they collect, they should be paying out hundreds of millions per year for bail and lawyers on self-defense claims. Look at the news. That isn't even possible.

Instead they just try to sweep it under the rug and refuse to acknowledge it.
Have been reading and list to this Man many years he is a wealth of knowledge on self defense! 👍👍
Even if someone is exonerated from a criminal charge you can always be sued in a civil case..
As a member of CCWSafe, you are covered for civil cases as well. Plus, they provide a substantial amount of $ if the jury awards damages.
After retiring and getting my pension for being a police officer, I have spent the next 16 years training law enforcement and military in 17 countries around the world. With this said, my wife, my two daughters and I all belong to the Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network. PLEASE read the fine print for ALL of the people providing “coverage” and you will find that ACLDN is by far the very best that is offered. I have no interest in this organization other than I know most of their advisory board members and would “go through the door” with them. Protect yourself and all of your holdings.
Been a member of ACLDN for several years now. What drove me to this organization was also the advisory board members but maybe equally important was their "education driven" approach to concealed carry. Great organization and highly recommend.
@@stevenz933 I live in Washington State and apparently I cannot aquire insurance to protect me in the event that I would have to shoot some one to save my own life. I understand that this state views it as a form of paying to commit a homicide. I have several fire arms and a permit to carry, but I'm afraid to leave the house armed for the fear of having to defend myself.

Use USCCA, since I got my concealed carry 4 or 5 years ago. I will be reading the fine print and pray I will never need to use either.
after the fact is a bit damned late to read fine print. Read and comprehend everything BEFORE you sign your name on things!
I'm pretty sure uscca has a recoup clause for more than one thing
Sadly, USCCA is a rip off. I’ve been paying their salaries for years, but after research, the chances of them paying for anything in a self defense shooting is close to zero.
Mas will give it to you straight !without sugar coating anything or worrying about hurting anyone’s feelings. I’ve learn so much from his UA-cam appearances, much respect sir 🫡

Very well put, as usual, Mass. After doing the research and reading the contracts I joined ACLDN and strongly recommend it - ESPECIALLY IN WISCONSIN where some of the leading experts in this field reside and practice their trades!
I think the USCCA is in Wisconsin. Anyone look into this group?
@@John-kd1bf yes, and yes. See my note above.
I use USCCA and of late I've been hearing some complaints about non-coverage.
USCCA is garbage. Don't use them.
I just went with ACLDN, after looking into each one available.
ACLDN met my needs at a price that is more reasonable,
than many of the other options. Thank You "Mas", for making this video!
Mr. Ayoob,
I just want to tell you that long ago, when my kids were learning about firearms I had them read “In the Gravest Extreme” as I had read it and learned a lot. I thank you and still listen to what you have to say.
i have CCW safe so hope i dont need it
A lot of very good points to consider and I understand and agree that it's up to us to read the fine print for whichever organization we are considering.
And after you do, please share what you found ; - )
Thank you for this INVALUABLE info. My son has this insurance, and my wife and I will be getting it as soon as we receive our LTC certs.
Thanks again for all you do, and have done, for us all.
The odds are about 1,000 to 1 that you will never have a covered event in your entire life, with any of them.
If you did, you would discover what the policies really say.
I can't find any evidence that any of them have ever paid a claim.

Most people have not been to court

None of this is offered in NY, SMH
Some courts have ruled that it shows intent to use. Insurance can work against you!
I have had CCW Safe for several years and feel that they are comparable.
The only limitations that I have noticed is that with them, you can't be drunk or drugged during a self defense encounter and also you are only covered when legally permitted to posses a firearm in the location where the self defense incident occurs.
CCW Safe does not cover "gun free" zones where it is a violation of state law.
So what is the fine print please.

If they were legit, they should be paying out hundreds of millions per year in self-defense claims, based on the amount of money they collect.
I haven't found any evidence that any of them have ever paid anything.
@@cliffordschaffer5289 no, they've taken care of claims. I don't know how you can say, "I haven't found any evidence that any of them have ever paid anything." Having lawyers and their team take care of things for a case is delivering. If anyone had to hire such a team, expect it to be at least a many thousands of dollars. If you feel lucky never needing such a team then yeah, don't pay out anything to anyone for such a case.
@@2fast2block 1) If they actually did, then it would be easy to show it. Show me the evidence.
2) In order for them to be a legitimate company they should be paying out at least 350 million per year for bail and self-defense lawyers. Read the news. That isn't even possible. There aren't that many self-defense cases.
Ask them yourself. How much did they pay out last year in claims?
If it isn't anything close to 350 million then you are getting hosed.
If they won't tell you (and they won't) then they have already told you.
Can you give a couple of ccw insurance companies you recommend?
CCW Safe
I wish there was a legal person that would compare them all and narrow down the choices.
I'd be interested in a small group of guys that would split the cost. to me having a lawyer looking at several would be ideal
As always, thanks for your videos !
Glad you like them!
After that recent incident with uscca i canceled my membership, and hoping to find recommendations
Seems like the defender gets screwed one way or another. Good information though.
Always good information! Love your concealed carry book! Very informative.
Its sad things are changing so much that as a concealed carrier its better legally to run from an active shooter on many situations even if you know you can stop a shooter.
Even with insurance, you are still responsible for court costs, which can be as much as $2,000
If attacked and you have to shoot the attacker, you are the victim. You will become a victim two more times. Once from the state who may charge you with a crime, and lastly you will be sued by the attacker or there family. You become a victim three times.
Politicians who think you should be in prison for defending yourself, your home, and your property, are the ones who belong in prison.

I know Mr. Ayoob isn't selling us any company, but kinda wish he could have gone into a bit more detail in what "good" insurance looks like/the kinds of companies to look into apart from that first one he mentioned.
