Thanks Aleah!! I agree. Dr. Gersh is fantastic. She’s coming back on again to talk more about hormones. I learned a whole lot. Appreciate you taking the time to comment.❤

    Btw.
    People DID live long before!
It is not a modern trent!
I see it in Spain for decades!
    In Belgium also!
But nowadays people die YOUNGER and will live LESS years, NOT MORE YEARS!
But old people do not eat like the ones today!
    They do not binge drinked.
Fresh cooked foods at home, not eating out!
We today do LOTS of bad things today!.
Mind you, the old generations also did not have vaccines, did not take the medicines.
I mean by older generations people who are now 90+.
    Every generation declines now.
We have so much hormones disruptors, eat crap, eat less of good fresh foods. Do more chemicals everywhere!
    More stress than ever before.

Those who lived into old age centuries ago were the exception not the norm, it was literally Darwinian, the fittest and strongest with access to the best resources survived. There's also some suggestion those women menstruated longer so wouldn't have gone decades without gonadal hormones. The problem is now people with average or downright lousy genes are surviving due to medical advances. And we need the hormonal help!

Is estradiol beneficial to someone who had a hysterectomy?

Yes! You have estrogen and progesterone receptors on every cell in the body. These hormones are needed systemically in the body.

What if you no longer have a uterus and ovaries 🤔

You could take estrogen alone because you don't have a uterus . However some women find progesterone helpful for sleep. If you are under age 40 you should be on hormone replacement until the usual age of menopause to prevent an increased risk of dementia.

If Women were designed to manufacture babies, then, what to say about somebody like myself who never been interested in having offsprings? All that menstruation were good for nothing, ovaries, uterus? I’m post menopausal today, never had any meno symptoms, never took any hormones and feel perfectly fine in my mid 60’s…
