This Cutting Edge Health episode features Dr. med Ralf Oettmeier. The title “Dr. med” is commonly used in German-speaking countries in Europe, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It’s equivalent to MD in the US.
Dr. Oettmeier is medical director of the Alpstein Clinic outside of Zurich. It’s at this clinic where they perform INUSpheresis, a cutting-edge detoxification therapy designed to remove waste from plasma. This technique removes environmental toxins, metals, microplastics, pesticides, and inflammatory agents from the blood via a specialized filtration system.
Dr. Oettmeier explains the holistic benefits of INUSpheresis for treating chronic illnesses, post-COVID syndrome, and as a preventive measure against cognitive decline, cancer, and heart disease. The therapy, unavailable in the U.S. due to FDA restrictions, complements traditional treatments like chelation but is gentler on the kidneys. Dr. Oettmeier highlights its effectiveness in improving health metrics.
This conversation with Dr. Oettmeier underscores the importance of addressing toxins for longevity. Learn how this innovative approach has the potential to help you take charge of your well-being and age gracefully.

Dr. med. Ralf Oettmeier is head physician and medical director of the Alpstein Clinic in Gais, Switzerland, an integrative medical practice.
Originally trained in conventional medicine at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany, Dr. Ralf, as he is called by his clients, acquired knowledge from various alternative forms of therapy over the years. He considers the Alpstein Clinic’s greatest strength to be successfully bringing together various disciplines of complementary medicine, such as homeopathy and acupuncture. Through the interaction of the individual disciplines, they achieve results that would otherwise never have been possible.
One of those therapies is INUSpheresis® where disease-promoting substances and environmental toxins are filtered from your blood. Dr. Oettmeier recently lectured on this at the 14th European Congress of Integrative Medicine.

This went in my save file❣️ Will be sharing with my family. Much appreciation to you both ❤
Thanks you so much for letting us know this was helpful! He shared such actionable information. It changed my life!
Extraordinary guest and excellent questions
I agree! This was an extraordinary guest! Personally, I got so much out of this interview and the details from his research. I'm very grateful he agreed to be interviewed. Thanks for your comment.
Note: usp grade does not guarantee purity for human medical consumption. You need a third party test for heavy metals. Certified compounded pharmacies are the sagest bet
Super smart host asks excellent spot on questions
You are so kind! Thank you!
Excellent guest
I have central sleep apnea and hypoxia. I am a 5th generation Colorado native who eats clean keto for years and is physically fit. I have spent $30k on doctors this year trying to figure out how to improve oxygen to my brain during my sleep. Metheyne Blue, MCT/Coconut oil 4-6 tlbs a day and balloon sinuplasty from my chiropractor is the ONLY thing that has helped consistently to improve my sleep apnea and oxygen levels when I sleep. Ty for all of your work. My mom had early on set dementia at around 55. She is now 69 and her brain is about like a 3 year old. I started loosing my memory this summer at 51. 4 months later I have hope again. Would love to hear more teaching on sleep apnea and hypoxia. FYI, at sea level I don't have sleep apnea or hypoxia.
Thanks for writing. I'm so glad you have some relief with Methylene Blue in your line up. I'm not a doc so I can't suggest anything for you, but I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and wishing you the ability to find the answers you need. Regarding your memory, have you read Dr. Dale Bredesen's book, The End of Alzheimer's. When I was 54 I started having memory issues like both my parents. Dr. Bredesen's book helped me so much. I also interviewed him for the first two episodes of this podcast.
you need to do family tree healing Masses
Urine
could you use a red beam laser pen or TV remote control held to the head ?
Thank you for this amazing information. I just recently learned about Methylene Blue through Chase Hughes brain disease. I’m learning so much about this amazing medicine. We need to share this information to everyone. I’ve shared your podcast and will continue to watch other episodes. Thanks again!
I'm so glad you found this conversation with Dr. Gonzalez--Lima something that you could really bring into your life! I, too, was amazed by this researcher and so appreciative of him sharing with all of us. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Best wishes for great health!
That Lancet article is hilarious - I wonder if the recommended treatment would be mindfulness and antidepressants if men routinely outlived their gonads!
"Liquid methylene blue at a concentration of 1% is a common formulation used for various applications, including laboratory research, medical uses, and as a dietary supplement. A 1% solution means there are 1 gram of methylene blue in 100 mL of solution. And in 1% methylene blue solution, 1 drop contains 0.5 mg of methylene blue. So, to achieve 5 mg. you would need 10 drops (10 x 0.5 mg)"......from my book: "The Ultimate Supplement Buying Guide: 120 Most Commonly Used Supplements"
Best Podcast ever !!
I'm thrilled you got a lot out of it! Me too! Thanks for your kind words.
interesting ... because after the usa made the bomb they made the uk research and build their own - there was no sharing of technology
Correct me if I am wrong: Inflammation, both chronic and useful, is your body causing damage while making repairs. So chronic inflammation is your body causing damage while making a huge number repairs, all day every day. Chronic inflammation is an indicator that your body is making a huge amount of repairs all day every day.
Wonderful to learn from!!! It gives us old coots hope, and food as medicine plus where do you buy a rowing machine? Inspirational! Xxxmichele z
Thank you for a great video. I think this the only one I have seen of somebody actually administering it. I have tried a few ways, trying to minimise the blue staining in my mouth. When I have tried it last for about a day. It is impractical to use before work. in the mornings. Swishing with Vit C didn't make a big difference. I have tried using a pipette and firing down the back of my throat, but if it his the tonsils it can be a bit painful for a few minutes. There is a vid on YT with Dr's saying mix it with Vit C before drinking. This does clear it but I'm not sure how this may effect the potency. If anybody has any tips on administration I would be grateful to hear. Thanks.
I'm so glad this was helpful! How about taking it in the evening before bed? I've switched to taking my MB then and I'm able to sleep well. Who cares if one has blue mouth at night! Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Are people who take long-term antidepressants at greater risk for dementia?
Can i take this if im on an antidepressant efexor xr
In South Africa we do not need a prescription you can get it at a pharmacy,
What blindness disease in children is he referencing?
Please any thoughts on long-term use safety including : dosage ranges especially for cognitive enhancements.
How does dementia relate when the patient has macular, impairing vision?
That metal scraping noise drowned out some of what he was saying! I do trust you will redo the interview. It was too important not to miss what he was saying !
Metal scraping noise was the Dr.s chair. Should have been told about it before the interview was recorded. Now what?
Another medical doctor - Dr Scott Sherr - has a company called "Troscriptions" and sells methylene blue in a unique form. I've taken it and have ordered it again. It's easy to take and I trust his formulation.
I use a straw… no blue mouth.
When I win the lottery I'll come in and see you
Thank you for the video. I am not 100% sure that I can agree here with some of the premises. Addressing the improvement in cognition, I would like to see more studies that show actual benefit in the slowing of progression of Alzheimer's with Plasma Exchange. I believe there is a study currently underway, AMBAR II study, a follow-up to their initial Alzheimer's Management by Albumin Replacement (AMBAR) trial, which did show potential benefit. However, if you look at the "Incidence of Dementia over Three Decades in the Framingham Heart Study," published in 2016 in the New England Journal of Medicine which analyzed data from the Framingham Heart Study, it found that the incidence of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease, declined by approximately 13% per decade from 1977 to 2008. Yes, there might be "more" Alzheimer's patients in the world, but that is because more of the world is aging, so the actual number of Alzheimer's patients is decreasing when you control for the age of the population. This information would tend to go against the theory that the "wide variety" of toxins that we are being exposed to is causing worsening dementia in the current era. While Plasma exchange does sound like it has potential, I am very highly doubtful of "some" of the numbers being shown. Specifically, there is no possible way to remove 100% of "any" heavy metal. And clearly the data being presented is showing 100% reduction in Platinum, Thorium and Uranium, which is simply not possible. This suggests that the amount initially detected was barely detectable in the first place, but without seeing the actual absolute concentration of these toxins in the spread sheet, no real conclusion can be made. I think it would be better to show the actual absolute value of in the blood, and the percent reduction. For example Lead 10 ug per dL was reduced to 3 ug per dL,(70% reduction). Overall, I do think Plasma Exchange has potential. But, it can also remove beneficial factors. A lot of this is really riding on the results of AMBAR II.
We already have specialists that only touch on one subject and that leaves everything else out in the cold. Our GPs now are totally ignorant of most subjects. Drug companies do more work dreaming up drugs that just make us sicker. We don't need them.
Excellent information. Thank you.
Dr. Clionsky was an excellent guest! I agree with you. Thanks for taking the time to reach out and let us know this was helpful. Enjoy your day.
Use a dropper and put it on the back of your tongue
I want to listen but there’s intermittent metal banging noise in the background. Very disturbing to my nerves
I understand. It was his chair squeaking. Hang in there, if you can. What he has to say about his methylene blue research is really good.
Ut turns blue for sone people
This podcast episode features Dr. Mitch Clionsky, a neuroscientist specializing in dementia prevention. He discusses strategies to prevent cognitive decline and reduce the risk of dementia. Key Points: * Dementia is a preventable disease: Dr. Clionsky emphasizes that dementia is not an inevitable consequence of aging. Many cases can be prevented through lifestyle changes and proactive measures. * The importance of early intervention: Early detection and intervention are crucial in preventing cognitive decline. Addressing risk factors like hearing loss, sleep apnea, and depression can significantly reduce the risk of dementia. * Lifestyle factors play a significant role: Dr. Clionsky highlights the importance of lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, and cognitive stimulation in maintaining brain health. * The role of social interaction: Social engagement and maintaining strong social connections are essential for cognitive health. * The impact of hearing loss: Untreated hearing loss can contribute to cognitive decline. Addressing hearing loss through hearing aids or other interventions can help protect cognitive function. * The importance of sleep: Adequate sleep is crucial for brain health. Sleep disorders like sleep apnea can negatively impact cognitive function. Additional Information: * Dr. Clionsky recommends a free dementia prevention checklist available on his website, braind.com. * He emphasizes the importance of early intervention and proactive measures in preventing cognitive decline. * The podcast discusses the various factors that contribute to dementia and the strategies to mitigate these risks.
I hope the interviewer and Dr Clionsky are not among the 1/3rd of Metformin users who find that diarrhea is a side effect…! 😮
A C-PAP machine doesn’t have to ruin your sex life if you have an existing partner who already loves you. But good luck finding a new partner when you put “C-PAP user” on your Tinder profile. 😢
Seems like a lot of trouble to take it, with funnels, spray bottles, etc. I put 12 -14 drops (right out of the little container that it comes in) into an 8 oz cup. I then add orange juice and drink. All done. You should also warn people not to order the variety that is used to treat fungus in gold fish. Not for human consumption.
THank you so much for this vid! Is this good for dimentia caused by stroke as well?
Hi Jane if i have 30mg capsule and mix that into 500ml of distilled water would i have a 6ml solution ??
37:55 Levels of estradiol now measured in picograms/mL and are: <50 @ menstruation 300- 350 @ estradiol spike that triggers LH hormone that triggers ovulation 100-250 Plateau in luteal phase 41:00 Dr Gersh is doing a level over 50 and up to 150 to get a monthly average to have a lighter 3-4 day bleeding period. 47:15 take progesterone 14 days of the month 48:25 Taking hormones sub optimally is better than no hormones 😊 49:25 you turn on tumor suppressor genes from the estradiol spike to mid luteal phase of cycle 50:40 There is some data that shows giving progesterone rhythmically lowers breast cancer 🎀 risk and cardiovascular ❤ risk. 53:55 Most cells in body are 7 years old (for bone) or less. Then cells are replaced from our stem cell pool. So they respond properly to nutrients and hormones avaliable just like when we were younger 😮 mind blown 😳 59:15 estrogens are best administered transdermally, pellets are hard to control the dosing. God gives us 120 years, which is proven by our telomere length We can be super agers ❤ you don't have to go out sick. Moses's eyes were bright (healthy) and he climbed a mountain the day he died (left). 😊
Thank you for the summary. Very helpful!
So you don't think there is evidence that proves that highly processed foods are doing harm to our brains...go to ZOE!
If you have pure USP-grade powder (pharma grade), the dosage is between 1 and 4 mg per kg of body weight. For example, a person weighing 80 kg, following a 2 mg/kg regimen, would take 160 mg of pure methylene blue-equivalent to 0.16 grams daily. Measuring this amount with a digital scale isn’t difficult, then simply add it to half a liter of water and drink it at the start of the day. While the taste may be off-putting, the benefits often make it worthwhile. Precision in measurement is not overly critical; if your amount varies between, say, 150 mg and 180 mg, that’s acceptable as long as the average remains consistent and doesn’t exceed the 4 mg/kg threshold. If you desire high accuracy, consider investing in a lab-grade digital scale, though they can be costly. Using a straw does help prevent blue mouth somewhat, but not entirely.
Great info thanks😊
You don’t think diet plays that big of a role yet you take Metformin to lower blood sugar. That could be done with keto low carb 😂diet. That makes no sense.
It's the insulin & hormones not the food.
Your argument sounds reasonable, but everybody’s body is different. For some reason, mine reacts poorly in its processing of sugars. I have an incredibly low carb keto diet. My insulin, fasting glucose and hemoglobin A1c are all fine within normal parameters, but my HOMA-IR is off. It needs to be under two and mine was close to three. That shows a problem processing sugars in my case. That’s why I went ON metformin. It has helped lower my HOMA-IR to under two.
@@zenawarrior7442I thought the body produces insulin in response to food…? 🤔
I am amazed at how many elderly people I’ve met who clearly have some form of dementia but wouldn’t dream of changing their high-carb diet. 😮
How many nM is your laser...Class 3 or Class 4...whatis the wattage?
I take MB capsules 12mg with vitamin C.
NEON BLUE IN THE TOILET
Amazing! Thank you so much for this interview! So so grateful there are People like Dr. Gonzalez-Lima 🤍🙏🏻
I'm glad this was helpful to you. Dr. Gonzalez-Lima's work is amazing, I agree!
If Women were designed to manufacture babies, then, what to say about somebody like myself who never been interested in having offsprings? All that menstruation were good for nothing, ovaries, uterus? I’m post menopausal today, never had any meno symptoms, never took any hormones and feel perfectly fine in my mid 60’s…
What the point of this
How sad...you are lacking something somewhere.
Btw. People DID live long before! It is not a modern trent! I see it in Spain for decades! In Belgium also! But nowadays people die YOUNGER and will live LESS years, NOT MORE YEARS! But old people do not eat like the ones today! They do not binge drinked. Fresh cooked foods at home, not eating out! We today do LOTS of bad things today!. Mind you, the old generations also did not have vaccines, did not take the medicines. I mean by older generations people who are now 90+. Every generation declines now. We have so much hormones disruptors, eat crap, eat less of good fresh foods. Do more chemicals everywhere! More stress than ever before.
Those who lived into old age centuries ago were the exception not the norm, it was literally Darwinian, the fittest and strongest with access to the best resources survived. There's also some suggestion those women menstruated longer so wouldn't have gone decades without gonadal hormones. The problem is now people with average or downright lousy genes are surviving due to medical advances. And we need the hormonal help!
Get vaccinated are you kidding me eat right get sunlight sleep well manage stress in a proper way you don't need to get vaccinated
