- In this video I show you around my hometown Nyköping. It's a cozy little town on the Swedish country side with lots of green areas, a small river and an old castle where kings and queens lived many years ago.

Me and my partner falled in love with this little town. We where suppoused to go to Stockholm but stayed here instead. Amazing architecture, good food and nice and smily people.

After the Capital, Nyköping is my favorite city in Sweden. It's so beautiful, so wonderful, has it's own archipelago, and the whole waterfront area has been developed a few years back with lots of amenities. A perfect mix of cute/quaint, stores, restaurants, pubs, cafe's etc. Also lots of huge new stores/eateries on the outskirts. I've been there in both Summer & Winter. It's a summer paradise and a Winter dream. The most beautiful city at Christmas. Compact city by area which makes it easily walkable and by bike, but also big enough it definitely doesn't feel small. When you're there walking and exploring it feels much bigger than it is. There's no shortage of things to do/see/go, and loads of cafe's, restaurants etc. Also many big events held yearly. Nyköping is not only Södermanlands gem it's the country's gem.

Also, what restaurant you recommend with a waterwiew ? Can I try some moose meet in one of the restaurants ?
If you go down to the marina in Nyköping you find plenty of different restaurants with water view. Checkout "Hamnmagasinet" or "Kajplats 2" or "Rökeriet" or "Lotsen Bar & Restaurang". Just put these into google and you find them easy.
Moose meat is actually very rare in restaurants. You don't normally find it in a typical Swedish restaurant. It's more for private hunters that have moose meat in their own freezer.
