Love it! Making one now out of camo-print WPC...also adding a handle at the top for a special little boy to carry his cars and other small toys...probably going to bind the inside.
Oh I made it today! I love it! I will post and tag you once I download fb and instagram to this new iPhone my son convinced me to change to. It would have been uploaded by now on my Samsung! 😂 This is such an easy and great sew! I will be making more! I love the boxed top! I did manage to melt my heat gun somehow…? But super cuuuute baaag!
Fantastic... a great 2 purpose bag gift containment for another gift inside n a terrific gift in it's self... when I saw it I thought a long loop on the back for a belt loop carrier (sewn before assembling the body) camo for the hunter... groovy print for the hippy chick... etc... thank you for a gift for the gift giver...
I just had an idea to involve the kids. I was reflecting on doing a sampler at school and that gave me this idea. After sewing the zipper and melting the ends get them to do a zig zag between the binding stitches in a contrasting colour. It would add a pop to it and personalise it too. Or instead, if possible, do a message or the teachers name. Like "BEST TEACHER" or "MERRY CHRISTMAS". They could write a message on a separate piece of vinyl or webbing then attach that as the tab.....
Thanks for the introduction to jelly vinyl 😊. Love it so much I’ve made 3 boxy bags now I’m working with a combo jelly and printed clear vinyl. They are so much fun to create even with the few minor mistakes I made😂
Thank you Babi for letting Jess show us how to make your pattern! This bag is extra special because it’s your design! I can’t wait to make these for the folks Whimsy and I train with. Everyone can use a Babi Boxy Bag!!!
Thank you, Babi & Jess, for providing such inspiring sewing patterns. At this time of year, I am always looking for a fast easy project for presents to give to friends and family. You could fill them with washable markers for kids to draw their own pictures on the back- that can be wiped off and drawn anew. I think I will fill mine with hair elastics and scrunchies to keep the granddaughter's hair supplies all in one place- and by using see through vinyl- they will know exactly where they are kept. I always come to your channel to see what's new - you provide "doable" sewing tutorials that are on trend and fun. Your gift of teaching is always appreciated and always inspiring. Thank You.
You can make fabric letter and numbers and use these bags as the carrying case for the letters and numbers to give to small children to learn the alphabet and numbers.
This would be a PERFECT scout, group, troop project. I would cut up a bunch of scraps for the three pieces, have some grosgrain ribbon (or some Tula Pink….) instead of the binding, and random zippers/pulls and just let them be as creative as they want. I think anyone 7 and up could do the sewing (with assistance). Short seams, straight lines…. Dang. I may bring my machine to Christmas and burn through some of my scraps. What a great pattern!
Thank you! Great bag and tutorial! This bag could have so many uses! I was thinking if storing some of my sewing tools and adding a strap to the back to hang it on my sewing room wall
Thank you, Babi and Jess. Great little project. Shape reminds me of a Crayon box - gift idea: fill with crayons! Or, add two Velcro Loops to top seam: voilà a perfect tool bag for a bicycle!! Mine will hold all my Scan n Cut tools! Color me happy! Thank you ❤
Thank you Babi and Jess! My sisters and I adopted some elders for Christmas and they do love their sweets....this will be perfect for holding those goodies! I bet sharpies would be perfect for drawing on the bags for the kiddos.
I have never sewn vinyl, never sewn zippers, never sewn a bag. My vinyl was pre-cut (etsy) and didn't quite fit the measurements. So much love and curse words went into my little box bag. I love it, flaws too. Thank you for sharing ❤
Yay! You always inspire me! TYSM for sharing your pattern because I can't wait to make this! I don't have any jelly vinyl but I will play around with the extra waterproof canvas.
Heck yeah, your timing rocks! I was looking for a small, quick make to use up some iridescent vinyl! This is perfect ❤️ Maybe kids could help personalize it by tracing their hands onto the vinyl with one of the wipe away pens and then stitch over the hand prints? Like hand print quilting? Is that a thing? Idk. I think that would look really cute with the variegated thread. Also, thank you thank you for your video about Sew Magical Expo! I didn't find it in time to sign up for classes this year but I did get to go shop the vendor hall and destash and meet some awesome crafty friends. 🥰 I can't wait for next year.
I made one with the front panel canvas with heat transfer vinyl as the lining. Just for the fabric part. Added sublimation on canvas. My machine was not very happy with me and the clear vinyl. First ones a little wonky but it’s very cute. Thank you!
Such a cute little bag🤗 Thank you Babi & Jess for sharing this little beauty ❤️ I’m going to make some for gifts for Christmas and fill with cosmetics and bath bombs-my girls will adore them … just got to order the vinyl now… here I go!!!! 😃🌹
This clear jelly vinyl is so hard to find!! I hate watching you use this knowing I can’t get it!!! But great video and I’ll be making them out of regular clear vinyl!
Well hi Jess..first time i have found you while on air..i’ve used that pattern only flat style..very cute idea to give it debt.. Been watching you awhile ..i enjoy your video’s very much..I was watching your “grief” video last night..i felt sad for you..😊i hope you have a great day!
Oh…😮 10:05 i’m watching still..I would have never thought of doing that to the corners..how clever..I’ve been sewing 50 yrs. I’m still find things to learn..(love your machines..)I’m hoping Santa brings me a Juki🤞
Thanks so much…..was able to make 13 bags for the grands in 3 hours, so yes, very fast and easy
Oh wow! I love that! I bet the kiddos will love them as well!
I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that we'd love a quick tutorial on making these into crossbody bags! 🥰
Was there an update on how to make this into a cross body?
Yes please do a tutorial on how to make these into a crossbody bag 🤗
I made it into a crossbody by following the steps of another bag pattern to add carrying strap tabs and a carrying strap.
I want em as crossbody bags too!
I think I will line a fabric one like your mini boxy's for Easter gifts this year 🤞
Love it! Making one now out of camo-print WPC...also adding a handle at the top for a special little boy to carry his cars and other small toys...probably going to bind the inside.
Babi I love your Boxy bags! I enjoy your daughters tutorials so much!
This would be an adorable bag for money and things for when I do markets! Put a loop and a belt through it and....perfection
Love the little bag Bobbie!!

Very cute little box 👝 pouch , what a great idea. You're talented.
I like to put a tab on both sides, especially when doing the bags for kids, easy to open and close

Cute and fast?? Yes, please!! Thank you Babi & Jess.
This is a cute little bag. You could use the bright colored and metallic sharpies either free hand or with stencils for the kiddo's.
Thank you Babi for sharing your pattern! Thank you Jess for teaching it to us! As always I can’t wait to try this! ❤
Thanks Jess n Babi fr this fabulous bag. Lots of fun. Hard time finding the zip puller coz is Australia.

This is sooo cute! You both are amazing!!
If you added loops to the back you could make them into dog treat training pouches
Thank you Babi and Jess! My sisters and I adopted some elders for Christmas and they do love their sweets....this will be perfect for holding those goodies! I bet sharpies would be perfect for drawing on the bags for the kiddos.
These are adorable!
