Angela, I actually am sick! Filmed this yesterday and was running a fever of over 103 that evening! I have been sick since Wednesday and I am so tired of it! I love your tutorial, and all of the other ones you have done. For the double sided tape, could you please tell me what brand you use and do you sew over it or around it thus avoid stitching through it? I was afraid that it would gum up my needle. Thank you! ❤
I use an 1/8" tape from Amazon called Scor. I try my very best to not sew over it because it definitely does gum up your needle!!

Beth...can you please tell me what kind of foot you are using?
I am using a 1/8" compensating foot. It is not Teflon but I think since it is such a skinny foot it doesn't stick to vinyl.
I am having trouble with the TPU vinyl stitching nicely. I am sewing on a Juki TL-QVP. I am using glide thread or Gutterman Mara 70 tex 40 thread. You mentioned you use a microtex needle, what size is the needle? I have tried putting paper and tissue paper under the TPU when sewing. I have not tried the Teflon sheet method you mentioned yet. Would you please show a picture or describe your tension for the bobbin and upper thread? Thank you.
I am so sorry you are having trouble! Are you on Facebook or IG so we can chat and share pictures to help troubleshoot? I use a 90/14 needle.

Do you have to use Jelly vinyl or could you use other soft vinyl (trying to work with what I have on hand)?
Hi! You can definitely use any viny or materials you want. The benefits of using the jelly is that it doesn't have a wrong side. So if you use a vinyl that does have a "wrong side" just know that you will be able to see that. Also if you choose to use any materials that fray you would want to use binding. If you have any other questions, please ask!!
I just ordered the Pink Sakura vinyl from Sew Girlie fun. The background on the website loojs very dark not clear? Did I order the same vinyl you are working with here?
'Looks very dark'
Launa she has several different versions of this vinyl so it could be possible that you ordered one of her other versions. Suzie is so sweet to work with. Send her a message and she will definitely help you figure this out and get the type you want, but this one should say clear vinyl. If it does, it is the same as mine!

Hi Ashley! When sewing with vinyl my preference is to use a Schmetz Microtex 90/14. :)
How would this project be entirely in Jelly Vinyl?
You could do it in all jelly. However, jelly doesn't have as much flexibility as tpu so you may have a chance of getting more puckers.
