Love my Baby Q . Had many great cooks at the beach , road trips and camping 👍👍
Oh yes! The Q1200 is a great little grill. I highly recommend it for every day grilling. Save the charcoal for the weekend.
I got a Weber Q1200 off of ebay for $102.00. Had to drive 30 minutes to pick it up. The guy threw in the cart, which was brand new in the box, for free. He had only used the Weber Q maybe 3 times. It was practically "new".
Anytime you get the cart thrown in, you've got a great deal. Enjoy the Q!
My first Q was found on the side of the road. I learned most of what I know about it from you on a fire escape. Thank you for all the help.
Nothing better than a free grill. Cheers KnS BBQ!
Good info! Thank you for the blog! Looking forward to the next segment!😀
Hoping to post the next one, next Thursday. Thanks for tuning in Bill.
Great to see this video. I purchase a Baby Q 200 when they first came out. I later bought a stand the came with it and a cover. It has gone with me on many a road trip. I am retired and now live it Florida. Last month i finally bit the bullet and bought a new grill and burner. Grill is a two piece now. Still the best grill i ever owned for its size and portability. Cheers
Right on Bill! Stay tuned for the next two videos. They will be out on the next two Thursdays. Cheers!
Very cool bro. Waiting for part 2. Have a Great 4th!
Thanks! You too! It will be uploaded next Thursday
Top stuff Sean well done!!!
best grill made today, I have a big family Q, I love it...... great collection!!!
It's a great gas grill. Built like a tank.
Love mine! Use it more than my big Weber grill.
Definitely better on gas.
Howdy, this is great to see. Baby Q, who knew, perfect for the car and road trips. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the vids. And I'm always surprised to see or meet folks who have never cooked over brickets, or true charcoal or even rarer live fire ( wood ). The worst of our heat wave is hopefully over so I can cook outdoors again. Stay " frosty" 🍻.
Yeah, hot as heck here in the Northeast too. The baby q really is great to take on the road or for an every day grill when you don't feel like firing up the charcoal or heating up the house with the oven. Cheers Victor!
Looking good there! I don't have a Weber Q, but nice to see how to restore grills ;D
It's a pretty addictive hobby. After shooting all day with Sean, I came back to NYC and found a brand new Q for $85. Now I have 4 Qs.
@@GallaghersGrub Great ;D You really got "fired up" for more ;D
Love my Weber Family Q3200 (also have the griddle) and just finished cleaning up all the pipes holes and scraped out the old grease. Just need to replace the pizzeo starter and it's as good as new. Weber has great support on their website for replacement parts. All the BBQ I'll ever need. Need to get a used babyQ next.
I've never actually tried the 3200, but all these Weber Qs are built like tanks.
The Best Grills ever!...my q200 is 15 or 16 years old...it works fine!
Yeah, they are great. Use mine almost every day.
How do you prep the inside of the lid after you hit it with the wire wheel?
Oh wow, incredible, this is what we do here in Germany.
We restore Weber Qs. I have at the moment like 15 Qs at home. Don’t know how many already passed through here.
But another friend of mine hits all the way harder. Countless Qs went meanwhile through his hands.
Our plan is
Compare the 220 with the 240 and the 260
Let people try the bbq result without knowing from what Grill the product comes.
I guess my video will be out in August
Best regards
Dee
That's great. It's kind of addictive actually. I currently have 4 Qs and I'm hoping to sell at least two this week.
weber for life !
Right on, CJ
Thanks for sharing.
Please watch Part 2. And Part 3 comes out next Thursday.
@@GallaghersGrub of course.
Amazing how cheap you can get them for over there. Here in Australia used webers are very pricey … I have 3 Weber’s high top baby q, 2200, and family q …. They are unbelievable to cook on and very popular here in Australia. I paid 400 for my family q secondhand… they are about 900 here new. Appreciate the tips on cleaning! I will do a factory restore clean on the family q I just bought .
Weber has upped the prices on all of their grills over here in the U.S. The baby Qs are now going for $259. It's best to buy them used at this point. Or anything for that matter. Cheers Dan! Thanks for watching is Australia.
Would you rather have a Family Q or a Genesis Gold and why?
I like the Genesis II from 2018-2022.
How did you paint the legs on the gold one I am inspired by the gold I’d like to paint mine as well with a garnet lid for my favorite football team the Florida state seminoles
You can just use regular spray paint for the legs. You don't need high heat paint.
Could anyone advise how to re-do a lid of a Baby Q when some of the powder coating on the outside has come off in places please?
I have a weber Family Q natural gas , I want to replace gas hose to make it longer , but it looks like its glued to regulated , any tips how to unscrew the hose ?
I've looked into converting a natural gas weber genesis into propane, and it's a serious procedure. Not sure how to do it with the Q.
Hi...great presentation! Just a question. I have a 60 lb propane tank on my motorhome. I've seen multiple youtubes on adapting the q's by removing the regulator and using the regulator on the motorhome. Is this safe?
I have no idea, John. My suggestion is to join the Weber Q facebook group and ask there. Maybe someone will know. facebook.com/groups/252982008199180
And my family thinks I'm crazy for having 3. Bought my first Q100 for $40. Just bought a Q1200 Green for $40. Yesterday I bought a Q140 electric lightly used for $10. I really like the shallow lid of the Q100 but like having the thermometer on the ugly turtle shell Q1200. My new to me Q140 did a far better job with some brats today then I expected.
These Qs are build like tanks and cook great. No reason to buy a huge gas grill.
@@GallaghersGrub yeah I have used a 3 burner Weber genesis for the last 10yrs. Selling that soon, those stainless steel grates are still ready for another 10yrs. It’s simply too big on the patio. I actually just bought a year old Weber spirit e210 with the fold down sides and like it a lot. Small footprint. Trying to sell my genesis and q100 which will leave me with the 2 burner spirit, q1200 and electric q140.
I bought a new 2200 just after last Christmas with the cart. Almost 400 for both. A couple weeks later I bought a 220 off Craigslist with a cart for 100. A couple months after that I bought another 220 without a cart off Craigslist for 20 bucks. I would like to maybe trade one of the older ones for a baby Q. Less to clean and uses less gas
I really like the baby q because it's so much lighter to carry. Smaller in the car. And better on gas. I do like my 2200 too though.
Would love to have a char q in my fleet of grills
I would like one too. They're hard to come by. Cheers!
I see the grill burner is lit at 2:24 and the plastic side panels are folded in laying on the grate. Cooking plastic for dinner?
That's actually water glistening on the folded side tables. None of the grills lined up here had propane tanks attached. Looks like it's lit though. Lol
Hi from Australia I restore Weber kettles and Q's here.
Have you seen any special Q's or rare ones?
Just the Char Q. Hard to find.
Hey do you have the Char Q ?
Sean has a char q and we made a video with it here: ua-cam.com/video/7oaH3_fChBo/v-deo.html
I bought my weber Q 1200 2 years and a month ago and I have been through three regulators under warranty…
It always fails at the worst time. Have you had this happen? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
I've owned my Q1200 since 2016 and the regulator is still working properly. Same with my Q2200 that I bought used in 2020. Sorry about your bad luck with yours.
If I got a brand new Q, with a working lighter, a full tank of propane, and gas bar is not firing up, any tips to get it to start? Do I unscrew it and soak it in water? Don’t really want to make a trip back to the store and get another.
Can you smell gas? I would take the burner tube off and thoroughly clean it. Poke holes in all of the holes and make sure the tube isn't clogged with debris. If that doesn't work you may have to replace the regulator
Link to Weber Q facebook page? Does the new Weber Traveler get included in the group or is it an outlier?
It's almost all Weber Q talk, but I'm sure no one would mind a Weber Traveler post. facebook.com/groups/252982008199180
I have a Weber Q I'm pretty sure they will bury me with! It's awesome.
Yeah, they're great little grills.
@@GallaghersGrub I've cooked just about everything that swims or crawls in that thing. I've even made a couple very repecteble pizzas in it. I have a big built in stainless beast by my patio which is great if I'm bar b q ing for 20 people or something but mostly its just me and my Mrs. In the winter I use the Weber Q in the screened in porch. Way way easier then going out on the patio in a foot of snow.
what is this weber Q facebook group? I love my Q and would love to join others!
Just go on Facebook and search groups for Weber Q. A moderator will let you join.
