This video is simply great. The slide is important but this video highlights the U1 which can be canceled with any down (that's the jumping move). That move & cancel is so underrated. What I absolutely love about this is it puts you in couching state where Shaheen has some really nice options in addition to slide. His WS 2 is a mid combo starter. So you get 50/50'd with that or another low slide. The way I see it, you could throw out U1 a lot. Sometimes let it hit where it's plus on block. Most of the time cancel. They'll be afraid to not block the U1. From there once you cancel & land, like BlackTalonGaming describes here, more sliding which hits low or any of his other really good crouch or while standing moves. Seems like a perfect get-in move (U1 or U1 cancel) when both characters are in the neutral and quite a ways off from each other deciding what to do.
Yeah UF1 can definitely be used as an approach tool but it is quite easy to sidestep depending on the distance it's done at so I typically used WR2 to get in really quickly. Thanks for supporting the video!
First FG i play seriously and i picked up Shaheen as my main, i love to see beginner content like that. I'm gonna slide on em for sure
Played street fighter a little, first time ever playing takken, i picked shaheen as my first character. Just got done practicing his punishes. Now i got something else to practice. "SLIIIIIDE ON EM". lol i love it. Comparing it to Hadouken input instantly made me understand it. Enjoy the SUB and looking for more videos!

The sneak 2 you say, the move after the slide, is that just pressing 2?
Yes. After a slide he automatically goes into Snake stance so you can just press 2 and it'll hit them

Yeah pretty much.. but that's pretty much what most 50/50s in the game boil down too lol
Slide isn’t safe and very gimmicky, shouldn’t be the main focus of shaheen play
I mean without it he's a super honest character in a game where 85% of the cast are dishonest lol so i feel with this it allows Shaheen to run his 50/50 game more effectively. Add in his guard break from full crouch as well and mixing that with slide or while rising launchers aand Shaheen can be pretty scary especially in HEAT lol
