Instead of in-wall subwoofers that have size limitations, how about a few large (18-24 inch) ported diy subs on top of the ceiling of the room or attic with the ports venting directly into the room? If you have the space, you could make huge enclosures and large ports and tune the subwoofers super low and not have to worry about port noise.
Wow. Fiberoptic ceiling. Phew. Good luck to you - that's a project. You're a braver man than me.
get your panels at the proper reflection points. "Home Theater Gurus" has some good videos talking about it. Really consider some heavy curtains over those windows as well as a larger carpet that covers the entire room.
For powering your star panel, If your ceiling lights have screw in bulbs you can buy an screw in adapter that has a plug, how ever it will push your bulb down a few inches.
I may just remove the middle light for the time being since it won't be seen anyway
Maan I love your depth in sound systems, I am impressed ❤❤❤❤
I appreciate it!
Motorized blackout shade for the window. Go to home depot and custom order not all that expensive. Change electric outlets to at least a gray color. The ivory bothers me in that room.
Another great idea for floor reflection treatment is to put rubber matting under the rug...Great videos keep up the good work!
Great video. The room is really coming along. I have in wall SVS subs, along with a couple of micro 3000s, they work great in a small space. 1 suggestion is to add heavy dark drape sover that window. It will help with light control and acoustics. Thanks for sharing.
Replace the “W” with a real M for your CINEMA!
If walmart finally has my M I will lol
Usually I'm not the type to tell people how to fix their setups but I have two suggestions. Get a rack or make a table to separate the center speaker from the Projector . Secondly the speaker cover makes the speakers looks ugly. Those speakers are stunning, and I don't know why Kef made those ugly covers. I do love the new sound treatment you have. I'm into a esthetics and sound. I've submitted my setup to you before. I moved to a new location and in the process of setting things up. Will share some videos and pics with you
I can't move the center channel with an ultra short throw. They both go in the exact same spot
Instead of the star lights have you considered acoustic panels for the ceiling for your sound issue
Yes
I was told that tweeters were supposed to be at ear level so why is the most important speaker in the entire setup pointing of the feet with a coffee table in the way?
Because you can clearly see its impossible to put it anywhere else
Its looking good ...
That is a lot of sound for a very small room, I would put a rug down and maybe some kind of tapestry on the back wall, I think the acoustic panels is a bit overkill, the start ceiling is cool though, all in all a cool room IMO.
I would downsize the front stage and partially the LFE. I realise that is tantamount to heresy, but unless you expect to expand to a much larger room, you are wasting a lot of real-estate on those speakers and subs for such a relatively small room.
On-wall/in-walls for subs would be perfectly reasonable for this kind of room, even down to 20 Hz, depending on your listening volume. Alternatively smaller, sealed subs with your LCRs on wall-mounts or even in-wall, letting you place the subs more optimally. Right now you have a frontstage and subwoofer-output fitting to a room maybe three times this volume with twice the listening distance
You got such nice equipment but you're squashing everything in that little room with such a big house
In the future we'll try another room
Nice setup 😊
Thanks 😁
Motion is not so good on your phone.
What model phone is it?
You may want to go into the pro settings.
8k only lets you shoot in 30fps. That's probably what you're noticing. I usually shoot 4k60 or 4k120 depending what I'm doing. Its the s24 ultra
@@Kpaceguy I also have the s24 ultra! Congratulations 🍻
I would stick to 4k with smoother motion since the 8k doesn't really make any difference.
@@kman9387 I don't use my phone for video in general. It was just a lazy moment to not have to get all this gear
How big is that room
Small lol 13x10.5ft
Loa e guy , I have used three different HDMI’s all made tv look horrible, I had a 75’ hdmi cable and picture look great but that cable gave up, now all three hdmi that I have tried are crap can you suggest a good hdmi. Also my Onkyo receiver is good about 10 years old and so is my LG tv, receiver sound amazing, I appreciate your help, Thanks.
Fiber cables are the way to go for long distances
Which speakers do you use?
KEF R series
Bean bags is a good idea. Def go for the treatment. I think the in wall subs is a good idea, it’ll free up some space and just make things look a little more tidy imo
Home Theater without carpet, no no for me. Not cozy enough
Good luck with your home improvements your picture quality does look alot sharper now just steady your hands ✋️ 👍
Love your room but I'd have chosen a larger room in your house so you could have at least 3 seats. But besides that white speakers are great for a bright room in the day but could be a distraction in a dark room. Lastly you may want to add carpet or a rug that covers the entire floor. Love ur channel, keep the vid's coming!
Why dont you measured up your room for the frequencies that needed for treating. With an UMIK1 is appropriate. Overtreating the high frequencies makes your sound dull or bad.
I definitely will when its time to buy treatment
Yeah we are also gonna roast you cause we thought you'll build a front stage so you cant see the front speakers and now you can do it. I kidding ok i kidding but yes you can do it
Too scared to do anything like that lol room is too small anyway
Ur sub placement looks off. Move ur front sub to the opposite side and leave the rear in the same location.
I've measured already. It's best there. There is also a sub in thr ceiling in the spot you recommended
Looking good in there and you got some awesome sounding plans. Bean bags would be awesome cuz you can move them out of the room if you don't want them in there good job on the lights in the ceiling. Don't be afraid of electricity, it doesn't hurt you until that last wire goes into the breaker
Hi Kpace, I would turn your front mains on a slightly lesser angle to around 20 degrees facing front a little more. Keep your calibration measurements to no more than 5.in your room. Your room is smallish so less can mean more. My room is 8.5m x 5.5 metres and biggish and even then, I only use no more than 6 measurements and I am finding that my sub performs a little tighter. I use the Audyssey pro kit(not the app). Although whatever you use for calibration should be fine. Room absorption can be trial and error. I have reduced mine to a min as I don’t like the room to dead. I am sure you would know where your reflection points are, so just concentrate on those. It’s a smallish room so best not over clutter it. I have had my dedicated cinema room for nearly 20 years and have taken measurements all over it, had speakers here there and everywhere plus had all sorts of amps and receivers plus separates but at the end of the day I found that the basics worked and sounded best. I never measure more than 6 measurements and I keep my measurements no more than 2 feet from the last. You have a fantastic little room. What you don’t use do not put in there. You don’t need to put more stuff in there to give it character. It needs to breathe. Cheers mate and hello from Australia.
Your room is nice. The only feasible updates I see is going inwalls with your current room. Also movie poster acoustic panels would give it character. Another update would be to move your theater to a bigger room. I can link you to the guy that did my movie poster acoustic panels. Either way I wouldn't stress out too much about it. Some updates I want to make to my room is backrow seating, a new processor, and atoms.
My first room I had a carpet company custom make me a rug just shy of the room’s footprint out of carpet extremely cheaper than a real rug would have cost. Just an FYI on how to save some cash.
Nice, I have just ordered some new floor standing speakers. I chose to get them in black, instead of white. I was thinking that having them in white would be very reflective when using my projector. How big is your room? That space looks too small for those speakers.
