Looks good! About the size of my first Dedicated room but I didn’t have a closet so all the equipment was behind the seating which sucked. Mine was a three seater for a while and a two seater for a while. Mixed it up with two recliners and a couch. Ended up using the couch for more seating most of its existence. That was back when AV123 had the awesome vented 15 sub deals and had them under the screen with Klipsch RF82 L/R and one of their centers. 110” 16:9 screen and the then brand new JVC RS1x projector. LOL. Things have come a long long way since then for my HT room. Dedicated from the ground up addition to the house 35’x18’x10’ shell for the theater room, a 15’x6’x10’ lobby/hall entry, a 16’x30’x10’ bar/media room, and full bathroom and laundry/fish tank room. Oh and the extra 3 car garage. All dedicated power and all active setup ran from Trinnov Altitude32.
Man, on probably 1/16 of your budget, I can totally relate. That's clearly a dope setup but to each their own. Great job though 👍

Most woman don’t care about this kind of stuff. They just want a regular tv and the stock speakers are good enough. I think I got my lady to use my system one time when I wasn’t around and it was only cause she wanted to show it off to a friend.
She's less than thrilled. Which, I think, most of us can relate to with our better halves.
I'm a hometheater guy. My critique for your set-up is that the white equipment, furniture, and window trim is a distraction, and that the tower front speakers are too big for the room. Otherwise, nice set-up!
She is the voice of reason like my wife. I would have my floor, walls and ceiling coming apart if my wife did not say that's to loud and the neighbors are going to complain.
It's funny how you tell her everything. I would just play the demos and get her reactions that way. She probably wouldn't notice the in ceilings. And if she didn't know about the sub she'd wouldn't complain. Just eat your popcorn and enjoy the ride lol!

My wife hates surround sound and bass. She quickly turns off my $50k+ home theater if she is in the room and changes the TV settings to dim the 100" and changes the audio output to the TV speakers. Seeing your girlfriend showing signs of annoyance/controlling makes me a little sad 😢
Does she like going to the regular movie theater?
Lol she loves going in there and using the system as intended. She's learned enough to be able to turn it on and find Netflix lol
@chadkirk925 Yes she likes the movie theatre, and absurdly loud concerts where I use hearing protection and she doesn't. I figure my wife just has a controlling issue and problems with anything she considers unnecessary change. It's a real shame and makes it so we never watch anything together. My two front towers are Revel F328bes, I wish she could enjoy it more than the TV at least. I suggest others meet their significant others only after having a home theater so that the girl will bond with it.

That is nice of you to allow your girl friend to give her view on your CR. and you really care about her input. How did create your demo disc. I found that on you tube that you can not the true Atmos demo. I have my CR and my wife doesn't care how create my room since she doesn't use it anyway. However I do save for the gear I want.

The only problem of the dedicated home theatre is that you been cut off from the world . Specially if you have a pc/playstation/xbox in there .... I can easily been forgoten in there for a week just watching movies and playing games. I was telling to my self that when i built my own house i will make a dedicate home theatre but now i am leaning more to a living room theatre sound treated as much i can without loose aesthetics . Finally the most important thing is your woman follow your madness.thats why i married mine 😉

My wife is indifferent to our HT,as long as her beanbag chair is in the room she's cool. She's not really into all of the sounds, which is cool because its my haven to do what I want without having to explain to her why I changed anything or added anything.

Ya she was giving some looks like why you asking me these questions... Lol. Ladies are into Shoes, Purses and chocolates or sweet foods but not Stereo or Theater. But I guess every Lady is different, now at the Gym many are doing weight lifting like guys. I go to the San Diego gym many hot girls/ladies with flat stomach toned or thin, they love showing their stomach either dressed to show it or lifting up the shirt alot. I will need to start talking to them or training them (used to be Personal Trainer). I work out and thin but toned or muscles so I will need similar. Need to bring the Gym girls to my house in San Diego for home theater dates. Right now Single Man just watching movies alone.

I have a question to ask you my question is i am running 2 power subs and I have lots of bass going through the 2 subs and I need to know do I have bass going through my speakers as well or do I turn off the bass going through the speakers and let the 2 subs handle the bass

Hey kpace guy whats up bro what did u use to calibrate ur system I saw Joe n tell went to techno dad's house and use something called magic beans to calibrate the system and it sounded awesome. So in ur demo I wasn't hearing the bass as much probably because of the microphone and hope u n girlfriend get married soon Blessings to u
Yes I didn't switch to my big mic because I want you guys to be able to hear her and I. It only records down to around 50hz. My big mic does 20hz

I'm not even married anymore but I STILL think about how my next wife and I will divide up the house in areas that we can both agree on and share - with both of us having independent free spaces for our hobbies. That seems like the best workable solution when the S.O. doesn't share our AV joys...

First of all, your girlfriend is so "Adorable"😀.. But for me I've always loved Home Theater since it first came out, That's how old I am but I don't like it loud either, I like a natural sound, I mean it can get loud but the whole movie shouldn't be loud because to me that's not Natural. One time I play my system really loud and the "Cops" knocked on my door because my neighbor's thought someone was shooting at me in my apartment.

Not to be rude but this hobby is expensive and addictive there is always new equipment coming out and it can cost 1,000 dollars. But there has to be a point when you are satisfied with what you have. I believe everyone should have a hobby but if you have to stretch yourself so much that you can't meet your bills or every month you find that your last bit of cash because you paying for a hobby it is not good. Your other half does not have to necessarily have to enjoy your passion but they should respect it as it is part of you. We need to be responsible for what we spend. I love books and music but second-hand vinyl can be very expensive and also some books are expensive. If I ever get married there will be things called priorities I simply won't be able to spend what I do if I am living with someone else.
Hopefully you will marry someone that likes the things you do, take it from a man married 37yrs there will be way more things that you’re going to want to spend money on than he will. That $1K equipment will last him years, your hair and nails will cost way more than that. My wife had zero input into our basement at a cost of 100k total but the other two levels are decorated the way she wanted. So we’re both happy. If you’re already thinking of things your husband can’t do that’s a 🚩
