Interesting to see the dynamic that exists among the European players. Serral crushes the Korean and Chinese terrans like they are nothing, then gets smoked by Clem in the GF in the EWC. Reynor has consistently been an achilles heel for him, but most other zergs not so much. The same can be said for his other matchups. Clem made Hero look like an amateur in the EWC, but struggles consistently against Maxpax. This used to be a similar case for WC3 as well. The only NE player that could even come close to beating Happy was Foggy, and that was because they played each other almost 2 times a week. Obviously there are exceptions but in general the trend is interesting.
Serral dominates Koreans, but olivera put up a super competitive series vs Serral probably due to them being very common scrim partners. According to them they played quite a lot against eachother around the time Olivera was having a big upward swing in form.
It's not even stylistic, it's just developing your skills against a common partner, influencing the direction you choose to improve I don't know quite what happened with Serral vs Olivera, in particular But MaxPax and Reynor both clearly like their apm, and pressure Clem's apm Serral does not have enough apm to use up enough of Clem's it seems
Clem just claps about every zerg right now, nobody really having a chance atm, mostly probably because of the numerous T buffs and Z nerfs in the past and because clem is very good at microing his bio, which zerg can literally do nothing against efficiently. The only reason reynor got clem is because clem is very inconsistent in his performances and will repeatedly lose series whenever he is not in his best form - a bit like serral used to be in the past too. Protoss gives T much more pause than zerg though, so especially with maxpax abusing some of the most annoying features of P, he's able to get clem when no other zerg can - which is only fair since clem is also abusing the most annoying stuff T has. Serral on the other hand just plays every card zerg has to offer, even sometimes using swarm hosts, and even though his style is very consistent and arguably by far the best in the world by leagues, T just got a few too many buffs (or zerg a few too many nerfs) for it to be enough. Sometimes it is kinda infuriating to me seeing clem being unable to defend his bases, flying his ravens into stalkers, doomdropping a main base over and over only to finally lose his medivacs to stalkers being there yet still with good enough bio micro and aggressive play, the DPS of a strong marine marauder push is usually enough to deal enough damage on the other side of the map that the situation at home won't kill him yet.
@@matth1005 Clem has always been a TvZ menace, with his Tvp and TvT lagging behind. Even back in the day when he was the only guy who could beat serral consistently by just out pressuring him with his apm, serral was mainly winning by counter stratting him and having more efficient builds and putting the early pressure on clem. EWC was rough since he didnt have the time to seriously counter strat every one of his potential rivals, and clem simply out mechaniced Serral with a super tight turtle terran
Protoss has received quite a number of buffs lately. The biggest nerf was the mothership cloak aura removal, other than that, they're pretty much unbeatable if played correctly in PvZ lategame and have quite a good shot vs. T too, much better than Z anyway.

"here we are In the map we've seen 700 times in the last week". Made me laugh out loud! I've got a buddy who's been casting aoe2 tournaments and he was struggling to come up with stuff to talk about before the matches get busy. (These were not pro games so it was normal for a match to last an hour a piece) I suggested just that same thing, look at the map, theorize how the players will build into the resources and where you think they'd need to fortify. Along with talking about the history of the players, describe the tournament the games are taking place in, ect.
Also in that game because of ALLL the different factions, talking about the unique advantages each player might be able to leverage is also pretty key. As for chronoboosted or skiped intros I feel they're both reasonable, and I'd say just do what ever feels right :)
Its just a little fun thing Winter does :) . Those effects are purely fictiontal, tough most of them relate in some way to way a pro is know to play. For example Showtime "Die Mauer" (The wall ) is a pro who is know for his defensive, solid style, so these effects will reflect that, even tough they dont really exist in game.

honestly...cast an age of empires game. I'm here for it
14:53 blink into target fire splitting on tanks to avoid overkill 🥵
great games ty winter
Perfect example of how Terran don't need to be creative and can just simply put marines, medivacs & co and push to win .....
boring, can't wait for a Terran nerf.
Winter's commenting ain't boring at all of course though :)
Great combqck from MaxPax, and very NICE to see Terran loose \o/ edit : thouth it was a bo2, have only watched 3 games haha
edit2 : NICE ! and you did make my day a little bit better :)
Woohoo! I love the new speedy openings rather than totally skipping them, and if the openings are both standard and boring with little or no fighting, you could even fast forward a bit further to when it gets interesting.
day haven't even started and it's already a lit better
Sending some love to Jeiimyyy , dont stop counting
I love Kevin Spacey casts
I tryed your "True Form" Winter, 0,25 Speed Video is still understandable :P

I'm new to competitive sc2. What are those cards/ effects? Do all pro players have these ?
Its just a little fun thing Winter does :) . Those effects are purely fictiontal, tough most of them relate in some way to way a pro is know to play. For example Showtime "Die Mauer" (The wall ) is a pro who is know for his defensive, solid style, so these effects will reflect that, even tough they dont really exist in game.
Thank You
Om nom nom
5:01 who is Billy ? And where in the world is Jimmy? You didn’t…..
Wild how underpowered Terran is this patch. I cannot wait for the upcoming buff in the next patch
Only won the world championship, so underpowered
Clem just beat Serral 5-0 soooo
xdd
This has to be sarcasm...
@@davidsayas5775I hope so
very nice
I'm here for the cheesy Segway
did winter hit the gym?
it's the shirt
Jimmy needs to do his damn job :)
Vanilla Siege tanks come out as 3/3 lurkers with the range upgrade and instant projectiles. Not imba at all.
Supply depot can fly and scout and drop, surely not imba at all sir
@@litlgenjinie2927 supply depot can fly at the slowest speed in the game and drop creep after investments. Or drop after investments. Or fly faster after investments. Noice.
Siege tanks take about twice as long between shots than lurkers though.
Imagine having a unit that can defend all early attacks ground and air, do the equivalent of chronoboosting, give map vision and heal. How broken that would be.
GO MAXPAX!
Has anyone ever chatted to the other crew members? Is winter a good boss to work for ?
maxpax is going to be the best player soon

"I will make it legal..."
Terran players losing again supposedly equally strong non-Terran players must be the greatest mystery in the history of the game.
Spoiler alert: A Queen will be christened as Susan.
Haven't yet watched, but hope so! I'm here for that!
