Great video. I haven't used my 2022 credit. Do you think I can book 1 night this year for a future stay in 2023 let's say in February and then book another night in January for a second night in February?
Yes you can! You don’t have to stay by the end of the year. Just need to trigger the $200 credit by booking a prepaid stay by the end of the year.

I’m about to book a hotel using our $200 credit for my wife/kids and I and NYC for my 45th birthday. I’m gonna go check and see if I’ve been targeted for that offer in my Amex account. Great video man.
Using a yearly credit is a get out. It's a one-off event & pretty much everyone that uses FHR does so more than one night/hotel stay per year.

I wanted to know, how do you make sure that these card pointers or max rewards apps add offers to the right card in order to maximize spend?
If I add an offer to my green card for a hotel that isn't in the FHR or Hotel Collection to my green card, I'll earn 3X per dollar at the hotel. Or an offer for an extra 4X points for Buffalo Wild Wings. I can add this to my Gold card for 8X per dollar.
It doesn't seem like these apps focus on this and would just add every offer to say, my Platinum card. Am I wrong? Let me know.

Great video! But I have a question. Wouldn't the $400 credit affect the total points earned? You mentioned you would be earning 4500 points. Wouldn't it be 2500 points instead?
Good question! The credits are after the fact. So the charges stay on your card , you earn the points. The credits are added to your statement later on.

HI Max, another informative video, thank you. Early in your video I think you mentioned that all A/X Platinum cards get the annual $200 FHR credit, but I think it only applies to personal AX plat card. My business plat card did not get the $200 annual FHR credit.
Can I use the Amex Business platinum for the $200 FHR credit or just the Personal?
