Appreciate that! Definitely worth it in my opinion. Also have it paired with there Flo oil filter that helps reduce heat by itself and is reusable. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Talked with Ultra Cool and and they advised me to purchase the below regulator cooler. Not sure if that is the correct unit as I have a factory oil cooler and lowers just like you. Hope they clear this up for me.
Great video, love the way you took your time. Does the fan blow heat on your leg? How hard is it to remove the oil filter now with the cooler and lines in place. Thanks
Appreciate it. Haven’t noticed my leg being any hotter with the fans running. Haven’t changed oil yet but don’t expect it to be an issue. Thanks for watching.
Dude! I moved to Vegas from Ohio, 4 months ago. Sitting here prepping to order this thing for my 2010 Road Glide. Pretty sure it's a necessity out here if you really want to ride... I love it here, just wish I had more time to ride! The freeways here are killing machines, I avoid them as much as possible. Ride safe!
First off, great video.... secondly a probably dumb question but here goes....once you have adapters on for the oil filtet does it just easily screw in and out?
Thanks for watching. First I’ll say there’s no such thing as a dumb question. The oil filter seems to screw on and off easy. Does that answer your question?
I enjoyed the video. I'm considering this set up when/If I add lower fairings to my street glide special. Question - Do you still use the factory oil cooler? So now you have 2. Wondering if the factory cooler + fan is sufficient for a 114. I just worry that lower fairings will block too much wind to the engine for cooling. Thanks
Yes I have 2 coolers. You can also run the ultra cool without having lowers. Call them and they will get you right. With my built 124” I wanted to try and keep as cool as possible. Less heat = less problems in the motor. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Love it! When in Daytona I put the jumper that it came with in that continually keeps the fans running. A must have in my opinion for any motorcycle but especially for built motors. Thanks for watching!
You got that right! The way I look at it, is if I try and succeed not only have I saved money but learned in the process also, and then I can share and hopefully give someone the confidence to try themselves also. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Sort of off topic but is that a Boom box and you added a amp? My Doom box don’t get any channels. And I live near Springfield Ma. Spotify works great any way.
Didn’t have to, I put a rag under the filter before removing to catch what was in the filter. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching for watching and commenting!
Love it and no complaints. Have a friend with dakota digital gauges with a readout for temp. We have same setup and while in Daytona with the jumper to keep the fans running temps hovered around 185-190. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Gasket for filter? If so put around edge of filter before you place filter on like normal. This filter has replaceable gaskets since it’s reusable. Thanks for watching.
Great detail bro! I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these. Living in South Florida with a built 128, I'm like you in that I've had to shut my bike down a few times because of the heat. I have a thunder max oil cooler fan but it just isn't enough. Since you've installed the UC, how has the heat been? Do you notice a change?
Appreciate that. Yes I’ve noticed a change, and l’m very happy with the kit. Fans kick on as they should because I got stuck in traffic on different occasions since install and they kicked on both times. Haven’t put a temp gun to verify but again I’m happy with kit.
I used a jig saw with a regular blade. Taped it off where I was going to cut, cut it then test fitted. Had to trim a couple times to get where I wanted. Take your time, it’s better to not cut enough because you can always trim or cut again. Can’t put back after it’s gone if you cut too much the first time. Again take your time! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@bigherk80 thanks, I've completed mine now. I used the method shown by ultra cool (razor knife). The ambient air temp was around 92F, (i live on the equator) after riding an hour or so and then getting back into town traffic the led/fan kicked in. I installed a Flo filter as well so think that was helping keep it under the trigger temp.
@@bigherk80 Reason I say is because other installs I've seen, the plug wire is down and people run the wire to the bottom of the frame, and it makes routing the oil lines a straight shot instead of bending them to match up with the ports on the engine case. But what do I know.....LOL
I stumbled across this video while researching ultracool fans. Very well done video.

Nice job... I'm glad you didn't take any short cuts to make it look professional.
Thanks for watching, and I appreciate the comment.
I’m glad you did this install, I was hoping someone did, it’s going to help tremendously with my installation 👍

Dude, you killed it! Great video. You showed everyting and explained it well. I hope I can do it as well as you. I'm subbing up. Cheers

Informative video.Thanks. By the way, you don't have to remove the dash to take the tank off.
Appreciate it. I’ve always took dash off, next time I have to removed tank I’ll try it without removing dash. Thanks for watching.
just having trouble with the wiring on 2017 Heritage,,,every harley is different it seems
Can’t speak on the heritage. Give ultra cool a call they were very helpful when it came to mine.

You skipped the most critical step, actually trimming and cutting the fairing 😢 this is what I was watching for, to get any tips.
