Someone asked me to translate this yesterday and I remembered that I watched Tokido analyzing this match during TOPANGA TV but thought that it didn't go into the detail enough. But he actually did it again on his own channel and I found this pretty interesting and decided to translate it.
There are many parts that I couldn't hear what Tokido said, or I wasn't really sure what he is saying, so I just translated the part that I understand.
Thank you for watching! You can follow and support me at

Thank you everyone for watching and like the video 🙏 I want to point out that I didn't put ads into this video simply because I got copyright claim by capcom (not Tokido lol), probably because they claimed the CPT match. I can't really say that this is fully my content but I did put hours into the translation so it bummed me out a little bit. Well when you get rekt 20-0 straight up even before the tournament and then you lose again in the tournament... what more is there to say? Words are no longer needed at that point, he clearly lost and Daigo simply had levelled up and was the better man this time. All Tokido can do, as a real champion, is to train and level up himself and come back stronger. I always gotta respect Tokido for being able to take the L... a true winner NEVER makes excuses. Tokido proves he is a true winner because of this.

I think it says a lot about how highly we view both Daigo and Tokido, that Tokido could get so completely and utterly shut out, and yet the overwhelming FGC consensus was simply that “Quarantine Daigo got so strong,” and not the usual favourite reaction, that the losing player (Tokido) is all washed up.

Daigo was forced to change his V-Skill because of the disproportionate nerf in V-Skill II after Topanga (update 05.020 was on 03/24/2020, and Topanga was on 03/15/2020). As a result, the strategy also changed dramatically, because V-Skill II became useless and all of Guile's game had to be retrofitted. V-trigger I, which was always good, but for some reason, Daigo didn't know he could use it so well. He only discovered the use of the V-Trigger I with more versatility after the nerf of the V-Skill II.

Daigo has changed a lot in his game strategy.
It must be said daigo defends too well and has superhuman reactions.
What I noticed again is that he defends well in the corner and with a big intelligence he avoids the shimy with his MK he does not take big risks and at the start of the round he does not spoil his V gauge. So he avoids using the V reversal all the time. Daigo used to use the V reversal a lot but now he does it smartly. This allows him at the end of the match to have the possibility of using his V trigger and attacking more. This is what hurt tokido.
Without forgetting his reactions with this ex flashkick who punishes the red fire ball. And with V trigger 1 daigo win easily the fire ball battle
To beat daigo you have to be as good as him and be super patient
