Yeah sadly I think it will be drastically scaled back, but there is a lot of empty space in the concept so no reason why most of it cant make into final production model
Gotta say I'm worried about how much Lego is going to cheap out on that fantastic Goonies set. I suppose we will have to wait another 2 years for the end result. Still though cant wait.😊
Thats my worry with the final design but when you look close at the pictures there is a lot of empty space so it might be possible to scale the design back but retain most of the rooms. I just hope all the minifigures make it🙏
Yep! Not surprised there. Lego is truly interested in more licensed sets. I have a feeling any future entry contestants should consider this. I was pleasantly surprised at the Goonies entry actually getting picked. Lego also seems in a ship mood lately as well, as we have and are getting plenty of boat sets
Licensed sets certainly attract new Lego customers that’s for sure, as long as they keep making there own stuff I personally don’t mind, keeps it exciting. Yeah it’s nice seeing ships getting more attention, I look forward to the endurance🙂
@@TheDyslexicGeak The endurance should be an epic build. Im not too interested in it but I do know the historical significance of the ship. The titanic was amazing so I know they will do the Endurance the proper justice it deserves
@@foreverfornever1124 Yeah I cant say I'm familiar with it either but should be pretty epic, I just wish Lego would make a huge HMS Victory, that would be incredible
@@TheDyslexicGeak funny enough I feel Lego is missing out on a whole section of the brick market pertaining to history. Like I know they have the architecture series and other things like Notre Dame but theres ust so much they havent tapped into that people would love to see. I know other brands make military sets and thats one of the major ones Lego could focus on. I loved the plane from that smaller Indian Jones set that came out last year. I wish we could see more of that
Oh it’s a great selection, I think it was all but certainly a couple of months back but I got a little worried when Lego held another round of voting, would have been so disappointed if it missed out
@@LukeFallaize yeah that’s my worry, I don’t want Lego to cheap out and really scale the set back, it needs to be as close to the concept as realistically as possible
I don’t mind the Gizmo model, I expect Lego will improve upon the concept,, shouldn’t cost the earth either, Goonies on other hand could be exceptional, hope Lego don’t cut it back too much
So pleased the Goonies set was selected this looks amazing and I hope they don’t scale it down too much. Really love the Gremlins too but wish it was the Gremlins Christmas house design that I saw on the Lego Ideas site
@@Peter-wp4hz ahh the Goonies set could be one of the best sets of 2025 if Lego do it justice. I expect it to be a little smaller in scale but could be done so not to lose all the detail, quite a lot of empty space in the concept
I have seen the Gremlins movies and think the moc looks great. The Goonies I’ve not seen but the model looks fantastic as it is but fear it will be reduced somewhat. If it was built as shown it would cost a packet and I guess Lego will want to price it in a certain category. The ship profile looks awesome and if the set did get produced as shown which side would you display 🤔
Yeah that’s my fear with the Goonies set, I really want Lego to try and go all out, the D&D set was pretty close to the concept so I hope Lego don’t restrict it too much, I would happily pay for a detailed set. As for which side I would display that’s easy, just buy 2😂😂
Haha yeah it’s relentless when it come to Lego but very exciting to have so many great sets to look forward too. 2024 will be hard to top, been a great year so far, with lots yet to come🙂
Are you looking forward to either of these Lego Ideas sets in 2025?
Can't wait!😊
@@bossman7009 the goonies is such an awesome choice, pure 80’s nostalgia🙂
Definitely one I would pick up. Need to see the final model because as you say it won’t be as big as the concept. Great design idea

Yes for The Goonies.

Yessssssssss I really wanted this goonies set, I seen it reached it target never thought they would make it, buzzing

The Gizmo is just going to be a blue Stitch copy and will prob be 100.
Yeah that’s kinda what I have in mind for the design and your probably right about the price
