The burger one was absolutely Bob's Burgers, they had a huge sinkhole open up and used a pump truck just like that in the movie. Not sure that counts as "approved IPs"
If I had to choose, it’d be the Sewer Heroes one, it is unlike ANYTHING Lego has ever done before, and I feel like it is the most creative and unique out of all of them.
SEWER HEROES would be awesome! It's a cool cutaway of everyday life and sewer workers deserve some love too... I mean come on we already have hundreds of FIRE and POLICE sets. Plus, my son is obsessed with "pipes" and loves to see where the lead; he would absolutely love this set. Even without my son liking it I could totally see myself buying it. I bought the newest police set just to get the brown pipe pieces.
hey, I'm a bit late, but I'm the designer behind the gramophone. I'm very happy how it turned out, and I appreciate the gold award! If this project doesn't make it on shelves, I will definitely be posting more in the future. I love seeing my work reaching such a large audience through this video and others
The clockwork solar system is the coolest mechanical design of the bunch (even if there's some heavy competition). The chess set is super classy and a great storage concept. Very uncertain if the fact that there's already multiple other LEGO chess sets makes it less likely or more likely to be picked, though.
Great video as always! Thank you for featuring my Wolfpack Castle! For those of you who like the Wolfpack: I might have a special treat for you in the upcoming Series 5 of the Bricklink Designer Program ;)
My top five sets (listed, not ranked): 1. Suspended train 2. Floating wizard tower 3. Rolling chess set 4. Crescent moon rock sculpture 5. Rocky Reef Restoration
As someone who also walked across it multiple times, the Széchenyi Chain Bridge would be an extremely nice set to pick up. Though I imagine it'd mostly only be popular among other hungarians and fans of architecture- still hoping it'll be made official one day
Aww man... The Skeld, the portal gun and the B-99 precinct are all competing against each other _and_ all of those other incresible builds? I wish we could just get all of them.
@@BrickedtoPerfection yeah. I make sure to try to contact the creator and plead with them to put it on Rebrickable or similar site cause the ideas version is amazing in comparison with Lego’s version
Yeah this one would be tough. I double checked all of these sets and they were all approved IPs in LEGO’s IP checker. Doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed, but there’s hope? 🤞
@AFT3RDAY5 That makes sense! I think I read that they're trying to get the license for the Pixar lamp from the latest batch of selected sets from their IDEAS review. I can't imagine how much money they spend on all of these licenses 😅
The Appa (avatar: tla) set is so cool, like im actually tweaking abt it. the amount of detail and configuration that went into it is awesome; the addition of appa's war armor and group's bending poses with elements is a guarantee that im picking it up if it drops.
My favorites are #48 The Monorail, #18 Dancing House, #45 Sewers and #26 Hungarian Bridge. The Dancing House looks stunning and the Monorail just has a phenomenal color scheme with a unique working design.
Personally, I love the Portal gun! To me, the series is just so memorable in gaming franchise. If they do release the gun, I hope it comes with a turret too!
Hard to choose but for me. Scooby-Doo, Dr. Suess (bc I build a winter village set every season) and the Venus fly trap since I own every botanical set.
I'd be happy with any of those, too! That Scooby Doo set is huge! We also build a winter village set every season, too. Definitely a tradition over here 🙂
Awesome video, awesome designs, and great editing and video setup as always man. I dig the first one, the Japan one, the Wizard of Oz, the Egyptian one, the train suit case one, medieval castle, the animals, bridge, solar system, Metallica, Totoro, tower chess, Avatar, Nemo, Laurel and Hardy, Spirited Away, moon rock, and rocky reef
Great picks! Thank you! I’m so glad you’re liking these videos. They’re getting a bit more challenging to produce and are taking longer, but I’ll keep them coming 🙂 I almost didn’t grade these designs, but there were so many excellent ones…I just had to!
@@BrickedtoPerfection yeah this is probably the best set of designs so far. I like to list the ones I like but the list just kept going for this one lol
Roman forum and interstellar ship are my choices. Ancient Rome is just something I didn’t know I needed until a saw this. Interstellar one on the other hand was my wish for a long time.
It's a shame you don't include chapters so we can easily move to the different builds! I like the Working Suspection Railway, Gramophone, Houseboat, Suitcase Express, Wizard Peaks, Lego Reptiles, Chess Set (bonus points if Lego designers are able to make it a double build to turn the board/pieces into checkers instead!), Portal Device, Laurel and Hardy Theatre, Booknook Story Laborarory, Rocky Reef Restoration and the Geology one. I would have listed the Among Us one but I feel it is missing on play features, which imho would be pretty important for a build of a map in a game! I this the Portal Device is probably the best geeky display piece. Lego Reptiles is just the most gorgeous one, although Geology gives it a run for its money. Houseboat is a lovely twist on a classic lego 'house' theme. The Working Suspension Railway is perfect for some sort of urban build inspiration which people usually lean towards ordinary tracks for. Booknook is a fun bookcase filler in this age where books are becoming rarer and rarer!
I hope lego chooses something like the scooby-doo castle, or one of the movie sets, all super dope. But I know lego chooses something mid like the Japanese art thing, which still a cool set, just not on the same level of the others.
I'm not saying I would pick this one as the overall winner.... but... I really like #5 the crescent moon rock sculpture. I would buy that one for sure even though I may pick a different winner.
I’ve never bought a Lego set for myself. I know it’s unlikely to be chosen for the sheer size and piece count weighing against it, but I would gladly make the Scooby-Doo Ravenwood manor my very first set to build and proudly put on display. I think it’s just so gorgeous! Wish I could at least download instructions

So many great sets, it’s too bad they will only choose 2. I would like to see one of the medieval sets (jousting is my favourite) and I would love to add one of the nature sets to my botanical collection (reptiles is my top pick).
Yeah, jousting is a good specific niche to cover, and the design does it well. I feel like the reptiles design could be tweaked to make one of those 3-in-1 sets where you reuse pieces to make the three designs separately. As best as I can tell, that's not what it is in its presented form? But it looks like it comes pretty close already.
@sevendeadlystreamersLEGO I think a jousting set would sell really well! I wonder how LEGO would alter it? @Shalakor That's a great point about a 3-in-1 - I wonder if they've ever turned an IDEAS set into one?
Another excellent video showcasing the incredible talents of LEGO designers. Watching this video, I saw 8 designs that I voted for and, due to your spotlighting, some additional ones that I initially passed over. Unfortunately, all these sets won't be produced by LEGO. This is why I hope Bricklink brings back its MOC shop, so those designs that are not selected have a chance of being built by us. Great job!

It’d be a no brainer even though it’s not my favourite of the proposed options.

I don't think many of these set ideas will be advancing in to the purchasing stage. Alot of them are really big and would be far to expensive for the general consumer. That said, I would love to see the house boat become available for purchase as it would look so good along any lego city river.
