12:58 I remember the first time I watched Terrifier back in 2018. I was 7 months pregnant at the time. When the hacksaw scene came up, I screamed and turned off the t.v. and cried for like an hour. Whether it was a mixture between the hormones and genuine horror; I lost it. I watched it again a few days ago and I love it. I'll admit that I covered my eyes during the hacksaw scene.
It's always nice hearing well-earned success stories from people like David. Being bullied can really make a person feel like they deserve it or will never be good enough, but he's right about the whole "fire under your butt" mentality once you get away from it all. I'm happy for him! Wonderful interview!

As soon as David was asked what already existing horror villain he would like to play, I instantly thought he should do Freddy, so glad that he agrees 😂 Robert has unfortunately said he's too old to do an in-person Freddy performance again and while I'm devastated by that, I really think David would do a fantastic job. He can convey so much fear and dread in just movement alone and give off such strong facial expressions through layers of prosethics. Furthermore, it would be a horror villian played by a horror fan, who would respect the roots of the character while giving his own twist to it. I'm so here for it, someone get in on it ❤
David Howard Thornton has to be one of the best roles for playing Art The Clown in the Terrifier franchise. He’s one of my favorite horror actors and new horror icon for sure 🤡🔪🔥🔥
What a great interview! After hearing about David’s experiences growing up I’m like yup, he’s so much like me and my friends in high school. If I went to school with him guaranteed we’d be in the same friends group. He’s 100% correct that so many people who “peaked” in high school made nothing of their lives afterwards and those like him and I and so many others took our lives in better directions. Davids story is powerful, and I know for sure that if young people out there heard his story, maybe that would be inspiration and hope for them not to give up or give in to bullies and negative people. Don’t know if you’ll see this David but congratulations for all your success and I wish you so many great things to come ♥️
