Is La Cornue's CornuFe Series Worth Buying? - Review

- La Cornue is a completely different range with the ability to customize colors, trims and even the configuration of the top. In this video we will review the CornuFe series as well as the benefits of considering a La Cornue.
First the main feature to any La Cornue could be the company itself. The range is mostly handmade and finished in France. Although many companies offer colors, La Cornue perhaps executes color better with its rich finishes and choice of trims.
The CornuFe offers 12 colors and your choice of 3 trims.
There are two sizes at about 36 and 43 inches. Both have the same top either gas with a 17,000 BTU max burner or a 5-zone induction top.
Both ovens are electric convection with 7 different cooking modes. The 43 inch is a double oven whereas the 36 is single.
However, La Cornue is not for everyone. If you are looking for high output from a professional range, La Cornue has average power with a max burner of 17,000 on one burner versus 18-25,000 on a pro range. It does not have the robust controls of many modern ranges.
The range is really different. It will perform well with plenty of modes as any French range should. The colors and style make it exceptional and worth consider especially if you want a unique range.

Yes I'm ordering a Red one ty =) We got this home with a Gas/Fridgedare unit and the self-clean door lock engaged and a fire started in the oven and could NOT get the door open had to call FD and the stove was toast =(. The issue was mice had stored dog food bits inside as we dont use the oven as much and the food caught fire but still I hated the electronics and wanted old school look and feel as I am a retired Chef and still love to entertain once in a while-specially this year as Covid is rampant worldwide. Probably will take months to get here too =( ty for your vid.
The Cornufe also has induction cooktop. How is the convection oven on the Cornufe? I roast, bake and broil often. I am considering the Cornufe with the convection cooktop.
CornuFe is the regular fan driven convection, so its similar to most other brands. As a FYI, it is now available in finishes like the Chateau.
Did they ever resolve the problem with the transformers humming?

@@YaleAppliance1 Have you ever heard a transformer hum? Well those European donut transformers hummed like crazy. The stoves would make noise just sitting there looking pretty.

Great question...depends on how you use it
This range which I own is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. It burns everything on outside and raw on inside. This goes for baking as well. Right now trying to figure out how to get drawer guides for bottom drawer. I have the new parts but can’t the guide in cause old one won’t come out. I bought this range cause I wanted a quality french range. Very disappointed
I can appreciate the workmanship, but I think they’re ugly. I’ll stick with my Easy-Bake oven.
