@@whatnow5313 When I was towing years ago. The stander rate for winching was $25 a ft. So if you pull out 100 feet, you should charge $2500.00.. You did get that vehicle stuck, they did and they should pay for it.
This brother is obviously not hurting for money. Let him do what he chooses. Yall telling him what to charge and thats the reason you dont have your own recovery business.. you TOO worried about the money vs caring about perfecting your craft. You can tell he puts thought and effort into being better, he doesnt just come snatching on your shit like some country boy. This seems like what he loves, and sometimes when you enjoy something you dont mind doing it for free. Maybe this is his way of giving back, or giving tithes. Just let him handle his own business. Hes doing just fine without taking your advice.
I really like your videos and I completely respect what you do and how you do it. I think its absurd that anyone would comment that you overcharge anyone for your services. What you do is very specific and highly skilled. What you charge is the going rate plain and simple . Although I would say that the charges should be on a sliding scale such as a larger vehicle , toughness of job , time , distance , location , etc... I don't know what you charge but my belief is whats the value of one's property to that person. Like the numbskull who took a brand new Audi to the beach and got stuck , or the guy who could get his 5th wheel up a hill and decided to set it down only to watch it almost rool down the side. Whats that worth to that man to have it recovered? Whatever you charge is worth it .
You're gonna have people going out on purpose and getting stuck if they know it's free. I'm sure youtube pays ok, but free sounds like a move I wouldn't make. But hey, it's you not me!! Good luck to you, I enjoy watching!
Huh, free!?! How? Why? Is this a troll? Is it a “free” recovery with the purchase of an $800 t-shirts 😂 maybe you could do towing subscription where people pay you annually and it includes two tows within certain area.
This business model can work. Matt's off road recovery in Utah doesn't charge and gives you a T-shirt if you're in the video. I don't know if he charges if you're not in a video. But he's making his money with the content on YT. He seems to be doing alright.
UA-cam doesn't pay that much. To pay the rent you just about have to post new content twice a day, and have 100k subscribed. If you could get rich as a content creator everyone would be doing it.
You should let your gut guide you what to charge....you should have a set fee per mile you travel then so much per hour for travel time and time on the recovery. In the ball park of 250.00up to1000.00...if you break somthing or burn up a winch...make enough to cover your cost!!!
Hope everything works out for you I don't know if your channel will grow, and be profitable especially in Arkansas. I seen your video about living in the Jacksonville Metro area, but being a Florida native since 1862 I do know you could have been in a rural area with good schools for your kid's thirty miles out west or south. The thing I do know Arkansas? Hope you get paid.
they can stay there for free. the last 8 recoveries cost me around $3000. my rig is still down and my house needs a roof and is nowhere that big. the last one i walked in carrying my winch and recovery equipment.
Don’t charge them for your time…charge them for your knowledge!!! $200.00 hr at least!
$150 a hour from the time you leave your place till your return plus 25.00 a ft of cable.
I have never heard of "foot of cable charge." Please explain.

They should pay for your time.
If you fo free you'll get every person calling for every problem the price is what keeps the crap down and the BS calls
I was looking at starting up a similar business. The cost is pretty high for just an off road rig and support rig.
Free? Is You Tube that profitable?😂
It shouldn’t be free, you have a family to feed
So no more recovery in Florida
$500 minimum
50 bucks
This is my dream too man, every video I put out is on a quest to eventually be free recovery

He doesn't have to accept every job
@swappedoutZ71 and then how would you like to have a recovery business for a livelihood and someone moves in and starts doing it for free.

Content can pay for the tow in many cases.

Hello, Glad to see the house build is going well. Good luck and hope everything works out.
Wear and tear on your equipment man..sooner or later repairs or maintenance will be an issue. Definitely salute you for your generosity though!
Make the money with UA-cam content!
No joke. Thats a great buy.😅
Interesting...
