    I could not decide between the Vertix or Traverse. Bought the Vertix. Love it. Thank you for the 60# speed test. Nobody does this, they all test 70#. I shoot 60#, so thanks. It is very fast, very quiet, and no hand shock. Pretty stable for a shorter bow.

    I live right outside of St.Louis. I just sold my Creed and will be buying a Vertix very soon. After seeing your videos I can honestly say I will be driving the 4 hours to your store and make my purchase. You are soo informative and thorough and knowledgeable and I appreciate all of that! Can't wait to make the trip!

    Fantastic video sir! I just shot one against all the other '19 bows. I was blown away over how smooth (polished) it is.... I'm sold on it now.

    Ready too go after tuning and sighting back in. There is no hump or hand shock in the Triax or Vertix.. I think the Vertix felt like my Halon 6. Just a touch more dampened. The 85% lo is good if you focus. It will want too go. But when letting down it's hard. You can hold the Triax and Vertix back 5 min, with out shaking. I like 75% lo better. It makes you focus. Makes you a better shooter. I want 75% mods for my Triax. The Triax and Vertix are so quiet/silent. Someone standing next too you. They cant hear the bow go off until the arrow hits the target. You're getting good speeds out of that bow. My Triax 390 grain 308-310. 420 gr 296-298. You tune that with the 75lb mods on it. You will get even more speed.

    I like the traverse the best bow just didn't love those new grips so ended up with my first Hoyt ever helix ultra and definitely not the fastest but absolutely love the grip and holds great on target

    I love the Mathews Vertix that I shot but I think Mathews needs to charge there shipping options. I ordered a Mathews Vertix on April 2 - still waiting for it to be delivered to my pro shop. The annoying part is - I live in Illinois and I am 4 hours away from Sparta WI which their HQ is located at - 2 weeks.

      Hey guys, I thought I would give an update on my Mathews Vertix bow. It took about 3 weeks to receive, April 29, my bow. I am thrilled to actually have in my possession and I am glad it’s made by my neighboring state.

    I liked that bow but I liked the treverse more held better on Target had a nicer string angle and Drew back more smooth then the vertix but really both still nice bows and couldn't have gone wrong with either

    • @BetterOutdoorsarchery
      @BetterOutdoorsarchery  5 років тому

      It's hard to pick between those two! It boils down to the customer preference and what they intend to do more of. The Traverse review will have a twist to it!

    • @Hoytshooter
      @Hoytshooter 5 років тому +1

      @@BetterOutdoorsarchery true I ended up buying the treverse over the verux for those reasons but I did like the vertix just wanted a longer bow this time around my last couple of hoyts have been 30 inch ata could shoot them fine but like the feeling if the 33 more and the treverse just seems like a do it all bow while the vertix is more towards just hunting but still able to do a blend of everything just not as good as the treverse but that's just me and everyone has different feelings

    Great review! Was hoping you were going to shoot a little lighter arrow with the 75lb mods though! I have the 75 lb mods and 29.5 inch draw , I absolutely love the bow! Haven’t speed tested her yet with my 411 grain set up I’m curious what it would be! Again, great review!

    • @BetterOutdoorsarchery
      @BetterOutdoorsarchery  5 років тому

      Man it should be a hammer like that! We debated a lighter arrow for that portion but the 460gr seemed to make most sense especially with how stiff an arrow will need to be for 29.5/75lb! Thanks for watching, be on the lookout for more!

    Did you measure what the bow measured poundage wise with the limb bolts bottomed out with the 75lb modules?

    • @BetterOutdoorsarchery
      @BetterOutdoorsarchery  5 років тому +1

      Thanks for watching! We did check on a few different ones as weve sold them. Typically new they come in 2 or 3 pounds above the mods peak weight. That's for all mods too. It's not unrealistic to get 80lbs on a 75lb mod set I dont think.

    • @Life-of-Bluegrass_Music

    I love Matthews bows, but I got about 7 minutes into this video & no zoom in on the bow on what your talking about & I’m cutting ur video off. Very unprofessionally made video. Even if you are not a professional have a camera person to zoom in on what you talking about.....On to another Vertix review.
