  • It's really nice to finally be able to get this collab off of our shoulders after working on this one for quite a while now. Also, SoGreatandPowerful isn't leaving the fandom, enough with the rumors. Surprise surprise, a song about Inkie Pie! Those are pretty rare in the fandom huh? This song is a telling of the story of Inkie after Pinkie had left the farm. Credit goes to SGAP for writing lyrics that strike as deep as always. Please enjoy!

    Lyrics:
    Inkie, we love you too
    stay with the family
Wear your mane straight and loose
    Dream parade floats every road
Front rows at magic shows, these girls
loved to read stories of the past
who knew that pinkie with her curls
saved up such magic in her laugh
    Yeah, everyone knows it. Still,
it's not like we'll say it, girl.
Just who do you think we are?
    It's never
    as simple
as a tree that grows tall.
    That's misunderstanding what we are.
    She'll never
    return to the farm
and party away your broken heart.
Yeah, we know you're her sister. Still,
    what makes you special, girl?
When did you save the world?
    she's never
    running around
    becoming the crystal that dissolves
the weight of all those stones
    oh... please come home
    your father's ill
    the quarry needs you
    Always wild at heart
Into the world we fold like two eyes
If you could do it all over,
    would you gallop or canter?
Would you follow or lead her?
    Trust your love or desire?
    She is composed of lines:
    tropics and meridians
At the party, never fitting in
    What's on the other side
    A politics of sisterhood
    Doing what a sister should
    Daydreams of diff'rent lives
    Forgetting this geodesy,
    the beauty of chalcedony
    Is this really fantasy?
    Abandoning her family?
    The moral of geology:
    The heart is sedimentary
The world has only one story:
    Fidelity to community
    In endless multiplicity
    Only we make unity
    Our mark, our singularity
    Indelible, indelible...
(Any change, any loss, does not make us victims. Others can shake you, surprise you, disappoint you, but they can't prevent you from acting, from taking the situation you're presented with and moving on. No matter where you are in life, no matter what your situation, you can always do something. You always have a choice and the choice can be power.)
    Yeah, everyone knows it. Still,
it's not like we'll say it, girl.
Just who do you think you are?

I've been looking for this song for 8 years. I used to listen to this on repeat but thought it was on sgaps profile after the deleting. The message at the end changed my life when I was lost in my younger years but I always kept it to heart. I'm brought to tears that this is still here.

It's so odd, and that's what screams "SoGreatandPowerful" about it. And amongst that signature style, there's you, Tsyolin, with your own signature style. This is truly a fantastic example of a successful collaboration. :D Simply fantastic job, my friends!

Wow I mean wow I'm shocked, stunned, and there is a huge smile upon my face. This is one of the best Brony songs I have heard yet like I love this genre of music and to see it in play singing about my favorite pony. The Lyrics are beyond amazing SoGreatAndPowerful you are a good good man I love you view on life, I want to know who were the 2 singers they sounded so professional. Like I feel a new musician group being build off of this collab, please make more songs together this was breathtaking

This song makes me sort of pity Inkie. After Pinkie left, she and Blinkie were the only ones left to work the family farm. She's been there her whole life. Now that her father's ill, she will never see the world. She will never be anything more than a rock farmer.
Meanwhile, her prodigal sister has saved the world, and when Inkie gathers her meager savings and goes on a vacation to a real city, she sees Pinkie up on the stage. A celebrity. Her quiet sister watching, an unknown face in the crowd.

Well, the rest of the critique was given in private, so you wouldn't see it. Also funny story, SGaP was mostly vocals, as the instrumentation is more explicitely Tsyolin's (i'd know, i got the kid into music). Additionally, did i say that any of the stuff that SGaP did was bad? no. So in short, critique, not SGap. Calm down kiddo
