- To clear things up: This song isn't about Applejack, this song isn't Fluttermac, the protagonist is a male pegasus, and the focus of the song is Big Macintosh
The final chapter of the Griffin Village series is here! I hope it will have been worth the wait! (Thank you all for being so patient!)
The protagonist from the previous songs finds that his wings are completely healed! He's ready to head home and leave Ponyville for good. However, a certain pony seems to have him glued to the ground~

I haven’t heard this song when My Little Pony was in It’s prime, but even right now it just reaches out to me and displays an ensemble of affects on me. Reminiscing every memory possible like my childhood, teenage years, up until now.
I think the pegasus is in a learning path for love. After feeling the sweetness of love with Lyra and Bonbon, with Derpy he learns how to be affectionate, and he comforts Gilda when she's sad and lonely. After passing all those tests, he finally stumbles upon his one true love: Big Mac.
So it's kind of an initiation path to love. But that's how I interpret it, so I'd love it if JackleApp said more about the story :D
My god, 7 years later.. I never even heard this song or any of the series of songs for that matter.. just stumbled across this.. and I'm overwhelmed with emotion.. God this is a bittersweet song.. Incredible job..

It's been a little over 10 years since this came out so I dunno if the songwriter will ever see this but this song is what helped me figure out I was bisexual when I was younger, along with the rest of the MLP fandom at the time, but this was the catalyst. I really appreciate you making this.
I just wanted to say that this song is really nostalgic to me now. I remember being kinda into MLP because of the music, and this is the only song I come back to, because the song is so sweet. The vocals really reflect that gentility, and I hope the people involved, if they're still kicking, are well.

I listened to the entire Griffin Village album on my way back from school, today...and today was the day I realized just how beautiful this song is. It doesn't matter to me that this song is about two guys (stallions, whatever)...it's just brilliant. It's awesome (in the true sense of the word) when you're walking alone in the sun. I firmly believe this is one of the best love songs I've ever heard. It's just perfect.

I must admit this song really helps me; I will often listen to it late at night before I fall asleep. Often things will feel complicated and I feel like I'm ruined, but this seems to comfort me and let me know there is hope and things get better.

I like the griffin village songs. All of them. All of them are about love in one way or another, but they're all different. And they're something wondrous and new that I haven't heard in music before now. These songs are all wonderful.

this entire album is so pure, full of real love and the innocence that comes with it. absolutely stunning. this song in particular though really opened up my heart to love in other genders, and i am happy to say i met and amazing guy that i really care for. thank you jackle, really, thank you.

Such simple beat and tempo coupled with even simpler lyrics but with a ultimately sincere and extremely complex undertones. Not many people in this world can make a song feel so very real, in such a simple piece of art. It really does feel like spring.

This song hit me right in the feels when I first heard it (after buying on bandcamp! You can get just about anything on that!) and it hit me right in the feels again! It's a long-lasting song.
JackleApp has shown all of his lyrical skill in this work. This is a work of poetry, and amongst the most beautiful I've ever heard. The wording is simple, yet every single one means so much. Alone the stick is weak, but in harmony, it is a force so strong. These words represent this, the poetry being sublime, beyond spectacular. And even creating a catchy beat as well, not even ruining the beauty of the words as music tend to (IMO).

Well, be happy then. These are some beautifull songs. It's good that they can be enjoyed. Some people just enjoy them too much, then start thinking about times in their life that were like it or want to be like it. And sometimes these thoughts hurt to much to think. So the song has to stop to stop the thinking.

This is the best of the Griffon Village series, and thats REALLY saying something! I really hope that GV continues, we get plenty of techno songs but your synthpop style is much more origonal. I Love It :)
The word Beautiful cannot adequately describe this song enough.
This is my favorite of the Season's album, and at the moment my favorite song period.
You know, every now and then, as a songwriter, you come across something that beats you over the head with your own insecurities and inadequacies, reminding you just how much more room you have to grow -- songs that force you to give pause and wonder if you'll ever measure up. It's not too often that I truly encounter that sense of awe within this specific fandom/scene, but, my god Jackle, just my god. This really stirs me and reaches me on an emotional level I didn't think was possible. Bravo.
