@@MrBarborosa Yeah, I might be in the minority since not a bunch of people know or have played this game. But I do think these guardians of the galaxy have more depth to them, mainly because we get to spend time with them for many many hours and get to know them more. But for the movies, everything is crammed into 2 hrs, which means it’s harder to develop and build these characters within that time frame. But the movies still did a great job at building these characters even if they’re not 15-20 hrs like the game.
"Who do I serve? What am I supposed to say, Jesus!?" Idk man that line was hilarious and awewome. Whenever I think GotG I think of that line. It captures them so well.

SPOILER ALERT! I also loved how the Rocket and Quill mini game at the beginning led to your character shooting one that let loose the main baddy in the game. I was looking for those things so hard and just shooting as soon as I saw one! Soon as it happened I was like ‘Dammit game, you got me’
Some of the dialogue choices and later lines in the game must depend on who shot it, since later on I had speech options to blame Rocket for this entire mess. So I must’ve never shot and released Magus during the mini game. Really cool attention to detail.
Cool facts about Peter shooting Meredith. You actually don’t have to shoot her at all. You could actually just continue to hug her and accept your illusion. Which will lead you to a whole other mini level

Honestly kinda prefer gunns star lord for that reason. Him being more of a jerk made him seem more real to me. I think it’s more clear in the bickering between Peter and rocket. Felt like their personalities were similar enough to cause major conflict in the movies whereas the game kinda made it seem like rocket was the bigger jerk

I'm currently playing this game as well as streaming it and within the first 5 to 10 minutes of the game I knew this was my game of the year. I haven't had this much genuine joy and fun playing a game, and immersing myself with characters I love in a video game in an incredibly long time! It definitely has some random rough spots and not everything is as finely detailed and created with loving care like the Milano, but each character feels real and true to their comic book origins, and I haven't laughed this much in a video game maybe ever! I'm in love with everything from the aesthetic to the writing of random NPCs you only ever see once and briefly.

I met some really annoying glitches during my playthrough on ps5, some which blocked me from getting 100 percent, but the game was good. A solid 8/10 for me. I also found rocket to be extremely annoying at times, where I kind of wanted him to die, and I'll live happily if I never hear flark again. Other then that, I'd love a sequel.
Oh I wanted to personally kill Rocket so many times in this game. The fact that he jokes about your daughter (I know she isn't really but they don't know that at the time) and ex girlfriend being dead to your face just really pissed me off. I got it for Christmas too. That year I got Far Cry 6, Deathloop, Yakuza:Like A Dragon and a Pulse 3D Headset. When I put the GOTG disc in the ps5 and I started playing, I played it from start to finish without taking a break. For a while I wasn’t really enjoying games that much, but guardians was such an enjoyable experience.
I just can't see a reason why Red Dead Redemption 2 can be such a huge and immersive open world game with so many things but they can't make a good Avengers open world video game. There is just no excuse
i just played this for the first time and wow what a game. I was expecting a silly superhero beat-em-up to uninstall soon as I'm finished. What I got was a close to home story about trauma, guilt, and grief. You know a game is good when it sticks on your mind for a little while after you beat it.
Indeed it was a great game, and I hope the publishers take a long hard look at that Avengers game, and then this one, and think about what they should focus on. One minor thing that bothered me: you can collect some items that you can discuss with your crewmates on the ship. And the face animations during those conversations are.... like ME Andromeda level. Really stood out next to all the well made animations during other conversations. Seems like these were put in the game very late.
Hopefully getting this game for Christmas, so I’ll come back to the vid after I’ve played it to avoid spoilers. This game is so weird to me, I had literally zero excitement for it when it was announced even right up until release, but then the reviews came in the public got their hands on it, and everyone seemed to love it! Safe to say I’m pretty damn excited for it now
Square Enix produced projects has a 50-60% chance of being disappointing or amazing epic masterpieces. It is the chance of getting Marvels Avengers or Marvels Guardians. I think it's worth the dice roll. I hope Square gets their hands on another Marvel character or team like Thor or Thunderbolts as well as a sequel to Guardians. They deserve it.
@@psychopolar8840 my hope is another Guardians game and maybe a Thor game from the team behind FF7 remakes combat. Square as a business makes me uncomfortable but they have amazing developers and artists in their building. When the riight starting line up is picked for the right project Square can make gold. Guardians is proof of that.
@@ShawnWeeded510 yeah absolutely agree with ya and yeah another guardians game would be awesome but in addition to that a open world iron man game would be dope too imo cause people can enjoy the movement system and stuff like we did in spider man but yeah we'll see.

Idk why cause I’ve already beat it but for some reason I just keep thinking about this game I’m so happy I gave this game a chance I walked away with a experience in gaming I will never forget
It's weird; I watch reviews and playthroughs and it looks kind of boring gameplay. but evryone who plays it says it's great, but i can't bring myself to buy it because it looks cookie cutter boring. I guess i'll have to wait for deep sale
This game is not optimized well fir pc in terms of mechanics this is a serious drawback and we should stop the overhype with this one. Honestly, i dont see people praising Deathloop or Ghostwire and for the record those two felt wayyy better than this. Because they were unique games with several creative elements that gave the gamer a sense of freedom in that open space . And really took the gamer away from reality. Meanwhile gog feels like any old looter shooter done right....so its okayy thats all that ill say about it.
Did you really use olive oil for a cut Wagyu? :D It got so much fat/marbling that you do not need any additional oil/butter etc. And if you need anything at least use beef fat (from a jar) or since you are already trimming of the excess fat you can just use it and render it out.
Yeah since my experience with God of War which is one of my favorite games ever but a very repetitive gameplay I try to be extra careful before buying a game, I want to be sure that the gameplay is actually fun and engaging
@@wilt2303 to be honest the main attraction to the game was the combat. I’m intrigued by the fact you can command other characters as well as controlling your own. I’ve never really played anything like that and it looked creative, fun and rewarding so I might just take a dive and see for myself.
@@IvaN-cf7qt yeah the controlling of the other team members is what interests me the most. It sounds like a fresh and more interesting approach to combat
Amazing game... BUT cause they had to re-use things they came up with brainwashing story and one race fighting themselves... there are so many space games that use this... a shit ton of times actually.
i kid you not i bought this game because i was bored assuming that it would be mediocre and and waste of my time until i actually played it and i loved every minute of it i was so surprised at how much fun i was having i went UA-cam to see if it was just me
This didn't shock me, the moment I saw that demo I was certain this game was going to be something special, genuinely didn't understand the lack of hype behind this game
Gameplay looks generic. Its strengths arent really highlighted in reviews and trailers. Even people saying its good seem to have a hard time explaining why. Just one of those games you have to experience. Witcher 3 is similar, word of mouth spread leading more people to play and love it over time.
Guardians of the Galaxy has become my favorite superhero team. And it’s all thanks to this game. What I find so funny is the parallelism that the “Gardeners of the Galaxy” 😂are actually a bunch of losers that nobody takes seriously, they come out of nowhere and save the Galaxy. Just as how this game came out of nowhere, kicked The Avengers game in the balls and has become one of the best superhero games!! The true underdog story in every possible way 🤘
sad nobody played this game. This was byfar my game of the year. And get this. I DO NOT!!!! WATCH SUPERHERO MOVIES cause i think there too kiddy. But after beating this game i bought Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2 on 4k. And i thought the 1st film was average but man i loved the sequel and michael Rucker. And slyvester stallone was in it too. So that was a great bonus. I'm looking forward to the 3rd film and i will be seeing it in theaters. I may watch the new batman film when it comes out. If the guy that plays batman is as iconic as batman from the arkham games. Batmans look and voice is legendary in the games.
Guardians of the Galaxy! Incredible game, the story, gameplay, entire experience was so much fun, a feel good game, my personal 2021 game of the year, loved it! 🙌😊
I love how Twitter was throwing a bitch fit when GOTG won best narrative and says it normalizes the corporatization of superheroes like the MCU. I’m like “Bitch, where were you when the Batman Arkham games and Spider-Man were out?”
This is what Gamers want a great told story Never ending action No micro transactions,Thank you SquareEnix For Delivering With this game 10/10 for me 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🙏🏻💯
Hands down my GOTY for 2021. The game was way better than most expected and even myself. The writing and story is magnificent. The amount of detail is insane and it looks beautiful.
I have a strong opinion that now after all the well received exclusive games PlayStation has released it’s ruined every none-exclusive story based game. Wether it is superhero based or not it seems to me like if it’s not a exclusive people will just assume it’s a cash grab. This leads to situations like this we’re there is a amazing game and people just overlook it because “it must be a cash grab”
I'm not finished the game yet but it seemed to have some similarities to a particular storyline from the comics, then it mentioned Him and I thought that they wouldn't use that storyline for a Guardians game....they fucking did and I am so hyped to finish it! (Spoils Below) They straight up did the Church controlled by Magus, Adam Warlock's evil self. He is my fav cosmic hero and I still almost can't believe that he's in the game let alone a big part of it.
I got the game half price at Epic game store this week during the holiday sale (after the additional unlimited $10 coupon they have). I have played a few hours so far. But I can confidently say that just the soundtrack alone was worth the price (for those into 80s nostalgia). Yes the visuals, characters, and chatter are also great. Gameplay is hit and miss (entire chapter 2 was basically just a walking simulator which is disappointing.)
This is just a brilliant game to play the story the fighting scenes the characters are brilliant so funny as well the music 🎶 just brilliant 👏 9.10 for me 👍👍👍😂
This Video is stupid just because it requires more than one braincell to make a superhero game, doesnt mean its "hard". The gaming industry is cheap and known for cutting corners for Monetary gain. They expect these continuities to make themselves and they arent. people need to be well versed in the charachters and comprehend them to be able to make a game around them.
Just downloaded it from game pass. I love it. It’s refreshing and endearing. I don’t get stressed out when I mess up repeatedly I just think of how many different ways I can execute my gameplay. The hints through the bantering makes me laugh and is appreciated. Only problem I have is after spending a few hours I have been getting glitchy, which is annoying when your timing is essential. That could just be my connection or console. A great game none the less.
I was so surprised at how awesome this game is, like what!!?!!?!!?, Its actually really really good, its amazing, not a dull moment at all. We definitely need a sequel!!!!
Super hero games are not hard to pull off. They just fail when in the wrong hands. Most AAA developers can make a good superhero games with the right direction. They fail like so many other games because of financial incentives to cut cost or seek opti.al profit over a visio. That fits the character which is obvious to most fans imo.
I bought this game purely because it was on sale but I wasn't really expecting thaaat much after the poor reviews of Avengers. This iteration of the Guardians surpasses those in the movies imo, sure we have the benefit of like 5x as much time with them but still, the writing shocked me in how deep it was while maintaining a sense of humor. The game mechanics themselves were a little lackluster for me but the story was top tier, would love to see/play more of these Guardians
One of the best and genuinely fun games I've played in a while. Great story, characters, dialogues and gameplay! The only problem I have with this game is that there are too many "normal" enemies, you know those goons are gonna irritate you every time you enter a new area. Its too much sometimes, other than that, Awesome game!

I had zero expectations for this game but it ended up being one of the best games I’ve played in a long time.
Absolutely loved your intro. Journalism is best when you nailed a truth and you keep going beyond your premise.
Flexing in on yo writing skills bro.
This exceeded my expectations actually. Very funny and very engaging game. The continuous dialogues are what pull me in.
The animation an actor does before performing a move is called a telegraph
I wonder what's the next marvel game that square enix will make cause I don't think they'll only stop at 2 games but yeah we'll see.
i just played this for the first time and wow what a game. I was expecting a silly superhero beat-em-up to uninstall soon as I'm finished. What I got was a close to home story about trauma, guilt, and grief. You know a game is good when it sticks on your mind for a little while after you beat it.
"Thor, zeus, and osiris"
....
Those guys all there too in marvel
Yeah I wonder what's the next marvel game they'll make cause I don't think they'll only stop at 2 games.
I don’t think Square Enix made this one man
@@psychopolar8840 my hope is another Guardians game and maybe a Thor game from the team behind FF7 remakes combat.
Have owned this game from day 1 release, just come across it the other day forgetting I had it.I will Definitely give it a Play Threw 100%.TY For the review.
It got so much fat/marbling that you do not need any additional oil/butter etc.
And if you need anything at least use beef fat (from a jar) or since you are already trimming of the excess fat you can just use it and render it out.
I’ve never been so torn about buying a game before. The combat looks fun but pretty repetitive
@The Pack combat can’t be worse than assassins creed Valhalla which is what I’m playing right now. That shit is like pulling teeth
The only repetitive part is quill shooting , but the management of combos of the rest of the team is really fun specially rocket racoon silly ultimate
@@IvaN-cf7qt yeah the controlling of the other team members is what interests me the most. It sounds like a fresh and more interesting approach to combat
Amazing game... BUT cause they had to re-use things they came up with brainwashing story and one race fighting themselves... there are so many space games that use this... a shit ton of times actually.
i kid you not i bought this game because i was bored assuming that it would be mediocre and and waste of my time until i actually played it and i loved every minute of it i was so surprised at how much fun i was having i went UA-cam to see if it was just me
And what have they gained from turning down Microsoft. Literally nothing. Worst decision ever imo
Hopefully the good reception translate into a DLC , i really wish it does
This didn't shock me, the moment I saw that demo I was certain this game was going to be something special, genuinely didn't understand the lack of hype behind this game
Gameplay looks generic. Its strengths arent really highlighted in reviews and trailers. Even people saying its good seem to have a hard time explaining why. Just one of those games you have to experience. Witcher 3 is similar, word of mouth spread leading more people to play and love it over time.
Yup I played both games based on recommendation not based on watching the gameplay and I loved them both.
How dare you deceive me for saying it’s good, I tried to play it and got bored after the second combat encounter
Imagine Luke talking about a cup of coffee. Just, amazing.
High praise. Nothing is perfect, so I'll stick with the first two words.
I have no interest in super hero movies at all but this looks very cool. Sort of a surprise hit in the vein of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Very much. Well worth the play. Especially if you catch a sale.
Yh what do u mean last time it was eidos they didn't work on avengers that was ctystal
This was as good of a GOTG movie as it was a video game. Amazing.
The true underdog story in every possible way 🤘
They even diss the avengers in the game
sad nobody played this game.
GOTY. This game shocked us too.
I love how Twitter was throwing a bitch fit when GOTG won best narrative and says it normalizes the corporatization of superheroes like the MCU. I’m like “Bitch, where were you when the Batman Arkham games and Spider-Man were out?”
the combat got realy old, really fast
(Spoils Below)
They straight up did the Church controlled by Magus, Adam Warlock's evil self. He is my fav cosmic hero and I still almost can't believe that he's in the game let alone a big part of it.
Its now on sale for $15, i just picked it up and am surprised how much I am enjoying it so far
Same, im sad i didnt bought this game sooner, all because of the avengers game.
Easily the biggest surprise of the year.
Okay, so I saw this video pop up on my feed. Watched some of it, paused, bought and played the game, 35 bucks well spent.
Just like the movie, the guardians of the galaxy came in and made everybody look like a bunch of jackass's standing in a circle.
A steak without the fat isn't a perfect steak to me lol
