I tried to manifest a sequel myself by buying 4 copies. They mentioned Rich Rider Nova so much, I needed to see him! I do enjoy the Guardians movies quite a bit but this game feels so much closer to the comic characterisation and universe. Also much better adaption of my beloved golden space Jesus than Volume 3.

Wow, great game to pick. Played this when it dropped and was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked it. So glad to see you doing a video on it, keep up the good work.
This is one of my all-time favorite games. Picked it up a year ago for free during the Epic Games Christmas giveaway, and was blown away by how personal the game is. I soaked up as much of the dialogue and music as I could, and I still can't think about the scene with Drax's family without getting emotional.
Hell yes! I loved this game I remember the day this game came out so vividly I ordered it for pick up at target after work on a Tuesday and I was off work the following day, came home and played it I had some Bomb ass pasta for dinner and me and my wife worked on our Wanda and Vision Halloween costumes that night I remember we had the heater on and it was super cozy at home bc it was freezing outside. Thanks for sticking with me so long! That feels like so long ago lol. I agree on wanting Gamoras suit in rivals! I’d absolutely buy it too if she was in the game! Heck, I’d probably get Warlocks and Star-Lords if their suits were added
Great video !, I really love the way how you manage to describe the detail of the first half of this retrospective, This is so much better comparison to a lot of the other video games that Marvel has created in recent years, The Avengers game was very lackluster and mostly solely focused on Kamala, which i wasn't really fond of (Though, i like her as a character) But I feel like the game could have focused more on the Avengers themselves individually, Hence why the title is called Marvels Avengers, not instead Ms. Marvel or something to the actual title. I'm looking forward to seeing what have to say in part two, will still continue to be watching your videos as you do provide very good long concise rundowns of most interesting games that you talk about in your retrospective videos, there always an enjoyable to watch and I feel like I intrigued to seeing more from you in the future.

Creating the original band Star-Lord was such an awesome detail for the game. I actually read the article in the magazine on my most recent playthrough.
This is my favorite super hero game of all times. Beats Batman Arkham and all spiderman games for me. The guardians were already favorites of mine and this game not only gives them the love and grandness that they deserve, but also stirs away from being too "mcu" and goes more for comics for its core. The music, the story and the strong message at the end were all experiences I wish I had for the the first time again. I'll sing it's praises at every chance I get. Just wish Nova showed up as more than a one line cameo
To me these guys made a perfect blend of the movies and comics Guardians for me. This is how I feel like they work the best. I’m more glad they even started realizing how Drax just slowly became more of a joke than what he actually should be and just fixed it together
This game was SOOOO GOOOOOD and not even close to long enough. Goes to show just how good Eidos Montreal are that they can make a game that's almost the opposite of Deus Ex but still use all that experience and talent near perfectly to make a banger of a game. Absolutely fire 9/10
Played it on Game Pass a couple of years ago. Finished it and immediately replayed it. Bought a copy just because I loved it so much. Incredible writing and performances, beautiful art and animation, and a great mix of decision-based dialogue, exploration, and tactical combat. I would love a sequel. I know it's pretty much impossible at this point, but this cast and the version of the team we got is, in my mind, just as great if not better than that in the films.

i never really cared about the guardians in other media but this game made me really like the guardians also so excited for another one of your vids! ❤
I always say that this is the best version of the GotG - superior to both the movies and the comics. And as someone that's firmly Gen X, Quill's teen years are shown very accurately, down to the wood paneled walls.
this is one of my favourite games ever, the story is nigh perfect, the gameplay is fun and it just oozes personality, in every corner you look there's something fun and interesting, Jesus Christ the soundtrack, not only is the band made for the game great but the actual OST itself is godlike, I love this game so much, Drax and Peter made me cry 10/10 peak fiction they cooked we all should've ate more, peak fiction Edit: another thing that I love is that it doesn't try and convey marvel lore and the lore of the characters as a mystery, it shows all of the cool marvel lore front and centre and that's so cool
That haircut young Peter has in the beginning is what many in the time would call an english cigarette. My dad had a similar haircut (less bowl cut tho) and earrings, he was badass but people often insulted him. Especially when he played sports.
32:16 Based on the handle, that would be Heimdall's sword. This can have a myriad of meanings: The Collector has a fake one, She has a fake one, or it is simply model reusage.
I think Flaherty is not only a reference to Slayer but also the D&D monster 'mind flayer'. Also "Are Cats Dangerous" is absolutely a reference to the flerkin, those space cats as seen in Captain Marvel.
Weird thought but what if the reason the paper is called the weekly bugle is because that's supposed to be the paper went by before switching to daily for whatever reason
I like the daily bugle vigilante reference at the very start, and when the guardians are going through the knowhere portal, you can hear one portal have someone shout "look, its spider-man!" And peter says "is that earth?" Showing he knows who spider-man is, and since star lord is about 30 in the game, making the game take place a in late 2000's, that could mean in that universe there is a year 27-ish spider-man on earth.
Peter is looking though a tape booklet, not a CD booklet. His whole collection is tapes and it’s implied this is early enough in the 80s that it’s before the widespread adoption of cds in the 90s.
"General Tao: The Man Behind The Chicken", eh? That reminds me of a villain in the PS2 classic Sly 3 called General Tsao, who is a chicken; his name is even similar to the Man Behind the Chicken, but with an added "S"! And funny how I'm bringing up Sly Cooper, as he is also an anthropomorphic raccoon like Rocket, and even shares his last name with Rocket's actor in the MCU! Thanks Nerdy for reminding me of that forgotten PlayStation franchise!
Another reason as to why modern free to play/budget gaming is so much better than back then… they gave this game away for FREE on epic last Christmas. Back in the day I would’ve had to beg my dad to crack the game so I could play it at 20 frames a second
I got the game for free thinking it was gonna be bad like 2 years ago, thought it wasn’t gonna be all that special but Man is it fantastic. Love the little interactions and it’s a shame that it’s not more popular
Coming out so close to marvel's avengers hurt this game so sooo much.

It's one of my all time favorite marvel games. I desperately want it to get a sequel, even though I know the odds are against us.
i never really cared about the guardians in other media but this game made me really like the guardians also so excited for another one of your vids! ❤
i hope we could get a sequel to this game, even though it seems very unlikely
I always say that this is the best version of the GotG - superior to both the movies and the comics.
And as someone that's firmly Gen X, Quill's teen years are shown very accurately, down to the wood paneled walls.
The emotional Drax moments always makes me cry.
this is one of my favourite games ever, the story is nigh perfect, the gameplay is fun and it just oozes personality, in every corner you look there's something fun and interesting, Jesus Christ the soundtrack, not only is the band made for the game great but the actual OST itself is godlike, I love this game so much, Drax and Peter made me cry 10/10 peak fiction they cooked we all should've ate more, peak fiction
Edit: another thing that I love is that it doesn't try and convey marvel lore and the lore of the characters as a mystery, it shows all of the cool marvel lore front and centre and that's so cool
Surely one of my all time favorite games. Definitely in my top 3 most criminally underrated games.
I grabbed this game on sale and I'm shocked at how much I enjoyed it compared to the lack of attention it got.
The amount of small Easter eggs shows just how much passion the devs had. I wish a sequel would happen
That haircut young Peter has in the beginning is what many in the time would call an english cigarette. My dad had a similar haircut (less bowl cut tho) and earrings, he was badass but people often insulted him. Especially when he played sports.
Oh, flark yeah.
I really enjoyed this game. Really well done. Im also a huge fan of the Gotg
Yep the story was insane, it went from 0 to 100 real quick and some of the twists surprised me.
Weird thought but what if the reason the paper is called the weekly bugle is because that's supposed to be the paper went by before switching to daily for whatever reason
Shout out to the Star-Lord album, still on my Spotify loop
Its so cool that there was a “Rodent” and “Tokken” cassette. References to Ratt and Dokken respectively, 2 80s hair metal bands
You're totally right, I definitely misspoke there. Tapes were a little before my time so I think my mind just defaulted to CD's
Playing this was, I think, the most fun I'd had gaming in years
One of my favorite games of all time
"General Tao: The Man Behind The Chicken", eh? That reminds me of a villain in the PS2 classic Sly 3 called General Tsao, who is a chicken; his name is even similar to the Man Behind the Chicken, but with an added "S"! And funny how I'm bringing up Sly Cooper, as he is also an anthropomorphic raccoon like Rocket, and even shares his last name with Rocket's actor in the MCU! Thanks Nerdy for reminding me of that forgotten PlayStation franchise!
THANK GOD SOMEONE MADE A ONE HOUR VIDEO FORNA GAME I LIKE
I wish this game sold better because I would LOVE a sequel. Got every achievement and had hella fun with the story!
it finally happened😫😫
Been replaying recently. One of the best marvel games of all time while being better than the movies in my opinion.
Another reason as to why modern free to play/budget gaming is so much better than back then… they gave this game away for FREE on epic last Christmas. Back in the day I would’ve had to beg my dad to crack the game so I could play it at 20 frames a second
This game needs a sequel!
I got the game for free thinking it was gonna be bad like 2 years ago, thought it wasn’t gonna be all that special but Man is it fantastic. Love the little interactions and it’s a shame that it’s not more popular
Fantastic game. Definitely in my top 3 superhero games ever.
I wish we could see a sequel for this game but hey even if we don't, I'm glad we at least got the ending we did.
