This game really just reduces Jason to "guy with guns" doesn't it? Jason was a Robin, he's an expert martial artist and knows how to use dozens of weapons. He's also meant to be pretty smart, he has his own personal library in Wayne Manor. He's not just a dumbass who shoots people

@@dikastederook6380 There are iterations of Red Hood in the comics where he tries to revert to the 'no-killing' rule, but the authors just keep fucking him over via bad plot progression, inconsistent character personalities and shitty writing.
Haven't watched the full video yet but I have played the game and can say that it didn't really true. Nearly all story bits for him is either about books or how the lazarus pıt affected him. The only character to actually have a good story and only character to actually went through a growth in the game.
Who cares it's bad ass and works.

You gotta appreciate how the developers try to immerse you in the game's world by giving Red Hood guns that shoot "Non-Lethal" "Armor Piercing" bullets.
Well it goes thru the armor and doesnt pierce flesh😂
His guns are like the Batmobile in Arkham Knight, where it could shoot a person in the head point blank with a high powered rubber bullet while also hitting them at speeds of 50+ and they would just be "unconscious"

I have to give it to this game. It gave Batman a respectful death, at the hands of a fitting opponent.
It's weird people expect a villain to give a hero a 'respectful' death. If I was a villain, you'd be lucky to be more than a chunky sludge. I don't want you coming back

The penguin, two-face, Bane, Ra's al ghul even the joker would never piss on Batman's dead body.
It's also depends on the character if Batman graped the villians wife and killed his family it would make sense for the villian to hate him enough to defile him. But Batman doesn't do that.
And if you knew even an ounce of anything about Ra's al ghul(or even if you saw the cutscene) you'd know Ra's respects Batman.
So much so that even after knowing his secret identity he doesn't reveal it out of respect for him. He declares Batman as his heir even.

Imagine stealth assassinating a criminal from like sixty feet up and it just does like 10% of his health bar.

@@johnoneil9188 that wasn't a stealth attack, it was an aerial attack, which is just meant to be a quick damage dealer to start a fight. You can do a proper stealth attack that instantly takes down enemies if you:
1 - Sneak up behind them.
2 - Are in an elevated platform that still leaves you close to the target (if you're far you're just going to perform an aerial attack).
3 - If you fly above you target using a traversal ability

Funny how the Court of Owls exist in the Arkham Series via the Prequel.....which was made by THIS game's Devs.....

I love this game personally. With 2 people, it’s fun on another level. I play Red Hood, and my sister Nightwing, and we just do patrols and whatnot, we find it so fun though. It hurts me to see that people think it’s so bad
I 100% agree Freddy! My brother and I have been playing this game since November 2022 in Co-Op mode and have racked up over 400 hrs of play! Co-Op is really the under-rated part of Gotham Knights. I wish someone would put more videos out about the co-op fun!
Just because most people say the game is bad doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it. As long as you have fun, keep on playing it.

Just finished a Red Hood playthrough of Gotham Knights and after going in with tempered expectations, I genuinely enjoyed it. Far from a perfect game, but it had some fun moments and I'm looking forward to a replay as Batgirl so I can get a fresh set of cutscenes and the story from a different perspective.
(Certainly helps I got the deluxe edition on sale for $30 CAD).
I just beat the game as Batgirl and the final cinematic was fuckin siiiiicccckkkk, her character story is also really sweet
Cool, I beat the story with Nightwing, then Robin, NOW I just started a new game plus and plan to play through with Batgirl! I have logged over 300 hrs of Co-Op play with my brother. Honestly, Co-op is so fun, I only play Gotham Knights when I have a co-op player with me! It is hours of fun in Co-op and in both Heroic Assaults.
Do the cutscenes actually change based on who you’re playing. As far as I can tell the little quips when investigating stuff is the only real difference.
Why play the game 4 times to play each character when you can do all of their personal stories in one playthough, even if you main one person the whole game and then do the other three as clean up.
I’m having fun with the game, but from what I can tell it’s not nearly as replayable as other games.
The game where Bruce talks about the greatest threat against Gotham wasn't the criminals and psychos tearing it apart, but the rich hording all of its wealth.

I played it I liked it at first but for some reason never got around to finishing it not terrible but not great
I like Gotham Knights. It's by no means perfect or anything, but I enjoyed traversing Gotham as Red Hood and shooting stuff and I really loved the Court of Owls stuff. There should have been more instanced missions like that. But I don't care what anyone says, I like this :D

I had fun with the game. At release, yes, it was very unpolished, and it was surely not ArkamGame, but for me was fun. Especially the combat, if u not compare it with Arkam, was actually really fun. I mostly played with Robin.
I actually enjoyed the game. Yeah Jason kind of "shoot them up" doesn't really stick well but gotta remember this was shortly after his resurrection so still has some anger to deal with but slowly reopens up, which was nice. Grayson is lacking his "motherly touch". Barbara is dealing with her own grief and slowly works through it. Tim doubts himself a lot while he works on his grief with Batmans death and proves to himself that he can still be Red Robin. Yeah some.plot elements don't make sense, but that's true even in the comics. Overall to me it's a 8/10 game with a bunch of replay ability. :)
tbf im currently playing it and im only playing the stages combat part of hte game, i got a key for less than 6 bucks so for that price is kinda good

If Suicide Squad was made by companies like OG Rocksteady then the game would’ve been dope. Tim would’ve been straight, Batgirl and Red Hood would’ve been more accurate.

Was Gotham Knights good? Absolutely not. Did it do more justice the Batman’s character than a game made by the studio who had literally created one of the greatest iterations of the character of all time? 100%.

This game is pretty good, repetitive but enjoyable at times. Timed strikes and combos were flashy enough to keep me entertained.
Gotham Knight is better because the story and characters are better. I watched the cutscene movie on UA-cam and was quite satisfied!

Gotham Knights is not live service it just has an optional co-op mode. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the live service game.
Yeah, I tried replaying this game a couple of months ago on New game plus just to see if there was anything about it that holds up, and there is very, very little that does.
I’m a die hard Batman fan since I was in diapers and this was my most anticipated game over God of War and Spider-Man 2. I paid the $75ish dollars and the $25 deluxe upgrade for literally 2 skins per character some dumb shaders and an alternate Batcycle skin only to be disappointed, insulted, and Robbed.
I was enjoying the game up till the 75% mark of the story and I was getting bored with the gameplay loop at the halfway point.
I got excited at the second to last mission because it felt like the game was opening up for more story and side villians and I was excited to see who and what they utilized for the rest of the story.
Only to be slapped with the final mission and the realization that there was absolutely no more content than what they showed in the trailers. I literally felt like I was halfway through the game at the end of the game. No more side villians, no new missions, or gameplay mechanics, not even any new costumes.
The infuriating thing is that in better hands this game might have had so much potential and it was wasted.

I still play this game , i loved it
It's better than Kill the Justice League, but that's like saying packaged oatmeal with occasional toppings is better than the worst breakfast food from your most hated restaurant chain. The occasional toppings being the short cut scenes in this that show respect for the bat family as a family.
Nightwing and Red Hood are the most fun in the game, but Robin has some AWESOME customization options
The sucide sqauds gameplay isnt bad at all, the mission variety however is lacking. But the combat and traversal is fun to play around with. Its better than what people say, but as someone who enjoys it ill admit its not there yet, its saving grace is the free seasons and playable toons. Hopefully they come with mission variety, if they dont i would not recomend the game to someone. Also the battlepass and full extent of the store hasnt been seen yet, again as someone who was ripped off by the classic skins for the deluxe edition ill admit prolly gunna be greedy.
I think the comparison is how batman got an honorable death vs ktjl
