You should ask real questions about EVs, 2 konas caught fire spontaneous and it was recent events. They are using Lithium Ion cells that are really unstable in our tropical climate. They tried to 'fix' the problem by software update to constrict maximum charge and fast charging rates. They also issued a recall of their EVs over 6 months ago, to date nothing done. They can't be trusted. It's way safer to buy less dense LiFePO4 batteries EV.
Side curiosity, were the windows closed when shooting inside the car? if so, there is almost zero dumping, the tires/wind were so loud.
Good job anyway
Is Hyundaj going to invest in charging infrastructure around Nairobi at least?
Yes. They are working on this with some partners.
What if the charge get depleted when where there's no charging booth?
Several firms are currently putting up charging stations in Kenya so cross country travel will be seamless in the near future

Women have this problem of kutaka kuangaliwa....no matter how old they get...kwanzia wakiwa watoi anatamani watu wamwangalie...sa huyu badala atuonyeshe gari ndani, anajaribu kupose 😂😂😂
Why are you asking for 8 million shillings - that is like double the price!
Import duties and taxes are a major cost driver.
@@ElectricDriveAfrica Hmmm
$80,000 is Rivian R1T and Porsche Taycan money tho
Import duties are pretty high. Same situation in other countries like SA and Zim. As a rule of thumb we usually double the EU sticker price to get the local price.
@@ElectricDriveAfrica wow! Still it's crazy. And African governments don't seem to be incentivising people to go electric.
It's Hyundai not hyundei
for 8 million it is a rip off...electric cars are becoming cheaper by the day !!!!
