I was in high school band in East Texas where most of the remaining high school military marching bands are. I always wondered how the 4-Way cross was done. THANKS for this!!!
According to Wikipedia, "Some band drills are so complicated they require band members to step between each other's feet to complete the maneuvers," citing the very interesting Aggie Marching Fundamentals Handbook, which you can download as a PDF. Yep, that's what it says on page 7. Wow.
I used glasses that could only record for 30 seconds at a time LOL, so I had to reach up and guess whenever the 30 seconds were recorded. I just wanted to make sure I got the 4-way cross at least.

*He did that!* Talk about close proximity!
Didja notice the drum major standing in the midst of all this chaos right in the middle of the x and without missing a beat?
So cool!
Nostalgia
Odd editing but really cool to see this perspective! I’d love more uploads of this!!!!
