- Another banger for yall !! Hope I caught you all doing well, and if you are reading this just know I love you. With that being said this another banger video we finally making moves on the g37 after so long of it sitting. Needed to order some odds and ends but the motor install video will be coming really soon. And then we will be back to our regularly scheduled gap.

Yeah those bellhousing bolts are pebbles in my shoes. Things are super tight. I bought a 1/2 17mm impact socket and a cheater bar on an old 1/2 ratchet; came off with ease
Super annoying to get to deal with. But once that’s done the rest of the job is a breeze.
next time take the whole harness out with the car and than remove or swap the harness . this going make the jop away easyer . me in the back i perfer takeing the tranmission and harness out with the engine . and than swaping this made the jop so much easyer it may sound like more work put it really less work for u in the end
Definitely something we have to try next time. Seems like that would be a lot better than moving the harness out of the way and potentially ruing it.
+1 for this method. Way easier to unbolt transmission when it’s outside the car also more room to rewire the new engine lol
Not hard to get to the trans bolts. You can reach them all with an extension from the bottom. We’ve done the slave cylinder before on this car. However the motor would be easier with the harness
Don’t forget your oil filter housing gasket before you add oil in I see that hiro old engine was needing to replace that gasket
New motor doesn't come with the oil filter "cooler" so leaks shouldn't be an issue. Appreciate the heads up fam💪💯

BRO STOP!! I had a leak from the SAME exact spot for at least 2 weeks and I kept driving on it (cause at first I didn’t know where it was coming from) even did some Mexico runs. It was the little plastic piece that the hoses connect to, it rotted. Man I feel lucky. Hope to see the G back up and running soon🤞🏻 I’m currently waiting for my G to get in the shop to do the gallery gasket job..😭
Hope you took care of that leak and put a metal connector or something more durable. Wouldn't want anyone else's engine failing due to this. And it'll be back soon. Just need the random gaskets.
Car going to wake up with them new gallery gaskets.

I felt a difference in mine. Of course I did a few other supporting mods while I took the motor out but hopefully you feel a difference. Stay safe bro !!

Yeah not a very good design having them plastic. Hopefully you and your friend didn't sent it like the homie and lift the head gasket.

Who keeps driving after losing all engine coolant, seriously? Well 2 miles shouldn't really blow the headgasket. Engine might still be ok.
When he knew it had an issue he only drove it about 1mile and I came and fixed it but we only refilled it with coolant didn't bleed it and it would always over heat about that.
Where did u get the replacement engine? Is it a crate engine or just used? Im looking for one

I just want to say that when your heater hose bursts there's no way you could drive on it because the car goes into limp mode, I don't know how anyone has managed to keep driving on it despite the coolant temp gauge pegging. This is a common issue with any V36 G37's. The OEM heater hose is dog shit, a new heater hose costs $24.99, Don't keep driving and warp your heads...
Yeah we shouldn’t have tried to run it when it shut off. But the homie just wanted to get home. Lesson learned !!
@@tuned_tunas Well Im sure the experience of tearing a car this complex apart looks really good on a resume. I can't help but to mention also the part where the serpentine belt was rubbing on the block, there is an idler pulley that belongs there that must have fell out, not sure if you guys realized it or not just thought id mention it.
Had the same exact hose snap on me. But I used my brain and had it towed to the shop right away lol.
The homie just wanted to get home. All good though we had constant misfire issues with the old motor. Now the homie can abuse it any day of the year.

You can just reuse your transmission bolts. Or take one out and measure it
You kept the AC lines connected and just moved the radiator/condenser to the side?

Haha yeah I was so over this motor. Even though its similar to mine. The spacing was so bad in this engine bay.
