  • How to replace the serpentine belt on your 2015-2020 Subaru Outback.
    Model shown is a 2018 Outback Limited 2.5L.
    ________________________________________________________________________
    Tools needed.
    10 MM
    15 MM
    3/8" Ratchet
    ________________________________________________________________________
    You could use wrenches if they are the only tools that you have available.
    Tools listed are my preference and to be used as a reference only.
    ________________________________________________________________________
    Approximate time needed for repair.
    Less than 10 minutes.
    Don't let the dealers overcharge you for these repairs! They are very easy and quick repairs that can be done with simple hand tools.

    Thank you so much for the great video! Great for this newbie. Now I can replace the belt and save a couple hundred dollars. Now to find a video on replacing the tensioner....

      Once you have the belt off it's just a single bolt to take the tensioner pulley off. There's just a small alignment pin that you have to get into place when reinstalling. Not hard at all! Would be happy to create another video if that would help you! @mojomunkee

      @@TalkingShop716 Thanks I have a 2016 Outback with 100k so your content is perfect for me. Have you put\lled the CVT pan and cleaned the magnet or replaced the strainer? I was thinking about that and now they have a gasket for the pan.

      @@jamielperry I have not done that yet but I plan to soon! Coming up on 60,000 miles with the car so it will be a perfect time to do it. Thank you for the suggestion!
