Same here. I hold a hatred for this evil world that I'm trying to let go of. My ancestors where the Pawnee. From Indiana where there are almost no natives left. This state has become an evil place. Peace is very important for well being. In order for my peace to happen, I pray to the Creator for peace first. I understand the need to be away from people. But total isolation has an off balance feel about it. What I am trying to say is, " don't remove yourself from people completely". Inner peace is a gift of the Creator.....a blessing. Making peace with yourself is important.....then finding a community that uplifts is just as important. I have been exceedingly blessed in that my wife helps with my peace. Thank you Wally. This will help change my life. Now I understand. My grandfather was Comanche, went to Navajo boarding schools, became a city Indian in LA, married my grandmother, a mostly white woman. They divorced. I never met him. At 16, two Navajo's-a wife and husband-began to visit me in my dreams and waking times to teach me. They were so peaceful. But my family was not. And though the Comanche had peace chiefs, it was not often enough, so they continued to fight everyone and became very few until recently because the Navajo gave them safe quarter. There has always been this part of me that is angry and gruff and I have kept that part because I believed it kept me safe. But I could not walk the Beauty Way because it was like carrying a heavy stone in my heart and I also knew I was not completely honest with the Holy People because I hid this dark part of me that followed that fellow you mentioned who fought the Holy Ones. I can see my spiritual grandparents are happy I have finally gotten this lesson. Thank you for your wisdom.
